An anonymous commenter left us a probable exclusive look at The Sims 4 Burglars Update. Revealing new features like the brand new lot Challenge and the Alertz Burglar Alarm. The person who left the comment on our site doesn’t seem like they’ve reported about leaks before. Which is why I want to make sure everything mentioned in this article could be subject to change from what we get in The Sims 4 Burglars Update today.

The Sims 4 Burglars Update is about to release in just a couple of hours. Until then, take a first look at the new features coming in the update:
The Sims 4 Burglars Update Leak
Heist Havoc Lot Challenge
The Sims 4 Burglars Update will introduce a brand new Lot Challenge called Heist Havoc.
Description
Lock the doors and hide all valuables! Burglars visit more often on this lot, and the trusty alarms have a mind of their own.

The new Lot Challenge coming today to The Sims 4 will allow extra difficulty when dealing with Burglars intruding your home. Even making the new Burglar Alarms completely faulty on occasion!
The Alertz Burglar Alarm
YES – There are going to be Alarms included with The Sims 4 Burglars Update! We have an exclusive look at the new object and its description:
Item Description
A state-of-the-art Burglar detector that can be upgraded with all the fanciest features.
Helps you sleep safe and sound, unless a Burglar is spotted. Also effectively wakes the whole family up, as it should. Very, very loudly. Buy one for any door the Burglar could enter from!

And finally, we have an exclusive look at the new Burglar Alarm and how it looks in the game!

Huge thanks once again to “Mysterious Burglar” for showing these features for us!

I updated the article at the top just because we had no reports from this leaker before.
When will the patch drop?
“more often” means we will have them by default even without the lot challenge? I want it because it’s challenging and unscripted, not because it’s fun to be robbed. Having to actively make the choice to make your game challenging defeats the purpose imo.
It seems like they can happen regularly but the lot challenge makes them more common (maybe you’re trying to make a rough neighbourhood) and makes alarms more likely to go haywire or fail? That’s what I got from it
Oh I see. Then that would be amazing if they did it like that more often. For example if all houses would get a little bit moldy by default (with For Rent) if you leave puddles without cleaning them up too often. And by adding the “mold lot challenge” it would make it more intense and likely to kill your sim the same way it works right now. Sounds like a great way to balance how easy the game feels by default.
This is definitely for simulation purposes for more high crime areas, considering no one is immune to break ins. People in rougher areas are considerably more likely to experience a break in than people in wealthier areas but they do experience them.
But what’s the point of this system when the alarm is so damn cheap? You’re never gonna have to outweigh the risk of not buying one
I have high doubts to this leak. I looked those simlish symbols, the ones that were on the pictured image, up on the Internet to see if I could get a translation, and none of them are on Snootysims list. This doesn’t mean anything for certain, of course, but I think they might make up a new symbol, 6 of them would be quite rare.
idk about that, same situation happened with the last roadmap. Instead of using the simlish we know, they wrote everything in english and altered the letters to fit the simlish visuals. Simlish isn’t meant to be a fully constructed language that can be easily translated. It’s more of a placeholder allowing the Sims Team to write whatever they want.
This needs to be more expensive. There’s no longer an opportunity cost to buying it. It says one is needed for every entryway door, but most homes have 1-2 doors. It used to §250-895.
Agree. At the least, there should be a cheapo version – maybe it could even fail more often – and an expensive version.
I’m sorry, it looks so fake. It looks like it’s been handmade with photoshop or some editing program.
are we going to get cops as well. or are the burglars just going to get away with stealing the stuff
Who does the burglar alarm call? Has to be cops. I just wonder if this will tie one day into “Get to Work” Detectives because that would sweeten it.
