Once again making everything but the car or open world. It’s 2026. This is why I gave up on sims4 and started playing inzoi so much better and the future for Inzoi looks great.

Sims 3 is open world. Sims 4 is not like sims 3 when it comes like that. Good luck on having open world with sims 4. They mentioned they couldnt do it i read on a page some where here. Sims 3 u couldmt really play because it was open world. It was way buggy and laggy and you couldmt really add all sims3 content to your pc because of space issues.

Watch this come without the fan demanded drums. Missed opportunity.

Agreed, the game really needs more instruments, especially drums. I doubt at this point they’ll ever add them though.

Ur so right! We have guitars and violins also pianos etc. But where are drums, saxophones, bass or trumpets. Not mentioning small instuments like flute or harmonica. How cool would be set a real Jazz Club with those. But no cos EA is lazyyyy

Why would we get drums in a kit? Like unless you wouldn’t mind if its purely decorative. kits don’t bring new gameplay items. If this was a SP/GP, it would come with drums and a drumming skill line

We got Bust The Dust – which was new game mechanics.

I don’t think we got any gameplay focused specific kits since bust to dust and I think there was some original backlash to that kit? Band stuff pack would be nice though since stuff packs became worthwhile as there was some stuff packs I think that came with gameplay or was overall more detailed (compared to earlier stuff packs) before the pandemic.

There was no backlash, it just sold poorly because it was a kit about vacuuming, and somewhat buggy at launch.

Do we have to buy it with Moola, though? Or is that just we’ll give you bonus “free” Moola so you’ll buy stuff off of the Marketplace?

…what part of “and receive 200 BONUS moola” you dont understand?

  4. Noisyface

Based on this screen shot, I don’t see any new options for an instrument. It would be cool to have drums/bongos. Woodwinds. Anything different from what we have really.

I’m so excited I hope we get more instrumentals

Of course, I literally JUST set up a house with a music studio like 2 days ago I guess the studio will get renovated next week!
I am excited, though. I’m a musician, and my birthday is the day before! Perfect!

y’know I would love one of your CC round-ups on music themed decor while we’re at it

  8. Dnic9lr

I would love sime drums, saxophones, and other instruments like harmonicas or even a banjo. This kit doesn’t have anything that isn’t already in the game

  9. GW

This could be leading to a bigger pack. A music EP! 😀 Maybe will get bands with lead singers. ^.^

  10. JD

They’re doing this to avoid creating any new animations or game mechanics, knowing it would break the game again and it would take a bunch of time and work to fix. This is another refresh and resell of the same objects with no added gameplay. It’s usual, especially for kits, and justified by the price point, depending on who you ask. I doubt they’ll be investing much more in the Sims 4.

Finally a new violin, the first one since 2014! But a completely new instrument like saxophone, drums or even a harp would have been better.

  12. Scooter

Cool, ill wait to sail the seas for it. From my experience they probably didn’t add stuff like new instruments, just retextures and reskins of old objects. Why would I pay for that?

  13. OMEGA MAN #2

    We need a SIMS 4 Pro Wrestling….

  14. Charli Jarvis

I don’t see why they don’t have things like Bass, drums, flute, etc… they could easily create gameplay to have a band. They could piggyback off of clubs. Set band members, what they do (guitar, lead singer, drummer), type of music (classical, rock, pop), type of clothes (preppy, grunge, formal) , set a location to practice, etc… have tasks they need to fulfill like.
    1. Practice
    2. Play Gig
    3. Hire Manager
they could even build into the Get Famous EP and have them rise to fame and get signed by a label, then it becomes a playable Job where you follow them to either to a Recording Studio or a Concert Venue, and the tasks set up (like the acting jobs) is dependent on the lot you pick. They could even have children and teens have an afterschool activity like band practice or join a garage band… all that makes it sound more like it would need to be an EP by itself though.
