The Sims 4 – Custom Skin Tones are possible!

5

Mod the Sims user Tedw was able to modify a Skin Tone in The Sims 4 Create a Sim Demo! This proves the fact that changing  Custom Skin Tones will be possible in The Sims 4 with a little help of Mods.

I’m not entirely sure if this is the right thread for this – I know it’s not really news about TS4. For testing purposes, I made a default replacement of the blue skin tone in the game, changing the blue for a purple color. It shows that default replacement mods can be made for things like skin. Hopefully replacements could be made to fix issues with some of the darker skin tones lacking warmth and some of the eye colors being too similar (there are two greens and two blues that are almost identical to each other).

The Sims 4 – Second World is named Oasis Springs!

1

Update: I noticed that there’s a confusion will this World be included in the Base Game or not. SimGuruMarion confirmed that this world WILL be included in The Sims 4 Base Game! (Source)

GamesRadar confirmed that The Sims 4’s 2nd world is named Oasis Springs! Take a look at what do they have to say about it:

The Sims 4 will have another environment to compliment the lush Willow Creek neighborhood, and this one’s more on the parched side. The recently unveiled Oasis Springs district is set in the middle of an arid desert, and has the look of suburban Las Vegas. This locale is filled with desert-themed charm, complete with set-pieces like cactuses and shed-sized air conditioners (and is that a Western-motif diner I see in the background?). You can still build lovely homesteads with plenty of modern comforts. You’ll likely have tons of fun in this…wellspring? Fountain? Watering hole? It’s right on the tip of my tongue…

Digital Spy: The Sims – Simpler times for the iconic series!

0

Maxis enjoyed great success with the original SimCity games, but there was always something impersonal and bureaucratic about virtual urban planning and digital building work.

Spinoff title The Sims took a refreshingly different approach to the original world creation series, holding a magnifying glass to the city’s inhabitants and placing emphasis on humour and personality.

Developed by Will Wright and his team at Maxis in 2000, The Sims gave players the opportunity to play god to a small group of pint-sized beings and had them cater for their every whim.

gaming-the-sims-screenshot-05

While this included such basic needs as eating three square meals a day and answering the call of nature, it wasn’t as banal as it might sound.

The eponymous Sims were fascinating beings, oozing personality and representing a giant leap for artificial intelligence in PC gaming at the turn of the millennium.

There was rarely a dull moment watching your characters’ lives unfold and seeing them encounter the same trials and tribulations that we face every day, plus hearing them babble away in their native tongue of Simlish was always endearing.
