We recently released a free Update for The Sims 4, and the hawk-eyed among you will probably notice a few new objects and items. Well, it’s time for another fun holiday challenge, this time to mark Day of the Dead!

So, what will the Day of the Dead Challenge be? Glad you asked! Jasmine Holiday is coming back on October 4 at 10am PT and will be around until November 4 at 10am PT. She will be available to get your Sim started with the Sugar Skull Display Case! From there, your Sim can head out and meet Day of the Dead Celebrators out in their neighborhood, and use the “Ask for Sugar Skull” interaction. When your Sim has collected all of the ones available from the NPCs, a final Sugar Skull will be unlocked for completing the collection.

When your Sim has filled up their display case with all 10 Sugar Skulls, the case unlocks a new interaction called Honor the Dead. Aside from looking totally awesome, this gives your Sim a moodlet that unlocks new interactions with the Grim Reaper, increases their relationship gain with him and (and this is super cool) also gives a high chance of success when pleading for another Sim’s life! Don’t worry, whilst you won’t be able to collect the Sugar Skulls after the challenge finishes, the Honor the Dead interaction will remain available.

To help your Sim really get in to the spirit, you’ll also find some new themed CAS items, as well as a handful of themed objects, and a couple of other fun interactions that we’ll let you figure out!

Don’t worry, we’ll remind you on Twitter and Facebook when the event goes live. We definitely don’t want your Sim to miss these awesome new collectibles!
