UPDATE: @SimGuruPanda announced that The Sims Facebook Page now work in an ”umbrella” – which means that the main The Sims Facebook page will redirect to the page of your language. You can change the language of The Sims Facebook page by clicking the 3 dots under the cover photo and by selecting the ”Switch Region” option.
In case you’ve been following The Sims Facebook Pages for other countries such as Germany, France, Poland and so on, you probably noticed that Facebook Pages for those countries are now gone for some odd reason.
All of those pages now redirect to the biggest page of them all – The Sims.
There’s no official information for now but we do assume that, if you for example live in Germany, you’ll be seeing posts on The Sims page exclusively in German language.
It’s really not so odd. 🙂 We did it in at least one previous games company I worked for, maybe even two, for other major games. It helps a lot to join the audiences for many reasons including improving the ability to find the right page for the thing you like in your language, for the company to be better able to look at what has worked, where it worked well, and why…etc. It should hopefully be an improvement.
