The Sims have just dropped the Sims 4 Horses trailer for the mane event of the summer! The Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion pack is coming July 20th 2023! Even though the trailer was only a couple of minutes long, there was a lot packed into the video. So sit back, relax and join us as we take a closer look at the finer details of the trailer.

New Animals
While the expansion pack is focused on the addition of Horses, we also get two more smaller animal friends joining us in this new expansion pack.
Horses
Saddle up Simmer’s because horses are here!
The Sims 4 Horses trailer showcased a number of new features that players can expect to see in the upcoming expansion. From learning how to ride, building relationships and caring for your horse, there will be plenty to explore when The Sims 4 Horse Ranch launches in July.
Mini Sheep
Small, cute and adorable, these new un-baa-leviable fluffy friends will be the true stars of the show on your ranch!
Mini Goats
Screaming. Fainting. Headbutting. What more could you ask for from the new goats?
New Community Lots
Bar
Round up your friends and hang out at the new bar community lot in town!
Stables
The trailer showcases a new stable lot which looks to be the one-stop lot for all things horse related.
Nectar Making
Nectar-making makes a long-awaited return to The Sims! Last seen back in The Sims 3, we know many players will be looking forward to checking out this new feature!
Competitive Events
Much like the Finchwick Fair in The Sims 4 Cottage Living, it looks like we will be getting some similar events in the Horse Ranch expansion too!
Showjumping
One of the many things that it appears players can do with horses is take part in a showjumping event. Whether this is tied to a skill or is a stand alone event, we will have to wait for more but we can’t wait to find out more about this feature!
Customize Your Horse
Much like the Create a Pet from The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs, it appears that you can paint and create your horses in a wide variety of ways. It also leads us to believe that there will be a range of options that will allow us to choose various mane and tail styles as well as saddles.
Trot Around the World
Saddle up and get riding and explore the new world and neigh-bourhoods that come with The Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion pack.
Line Dancing
Are you ready to take part and create your own Hoedown Throwdown?
The Sims 4 Horses trailer showcased the upcoming dance style that will be making its way into the new expansion too!
Nectar Ghost Potion?
At around the two-minute mark in The Sims 4 Horses trailer, if you look carefully you’ll see a Ghost Sim take a sip of Nectar and turn back into a Sim! We need to know what secrets are hidden in that Nectar recipe!
New Gnomes
In true The Sims style, if you look carefully, you’ll see a new gnome joining our growing collection!
Barbie Horse?
Several times during the Sims 4 Horses trailer, we see a Sim in a pink-themed outfit. Could this be a nod towards the upcoming Barbie movie release the following day? Even if it’s not, it’s still a pretty cool small detail in the trailer.
New Stand Up Piano
Players had been waiting for what felt like an eternity for stand-up pianos however, we’ve now seen two added to the game in the space of several months!
Now it goes without saying that there was a lot packed into the Sims 4 Horses trailer and there’s still plenty more to discover. From Create A Sim, new Build Buy Mode objects, the new world and more! The Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion definitely has Simmers wondering what else this expansion has in store for us!
