Get a closer look into the upcoming Sims 4 Kit release next week!

We've just gotten a new look into The Sims 4 Music Den Kit that's coming July 23rd, 2026!

In case you've missed out on the news, EA announced the official-made Music Den Kit out next Thursday for Computers and Consoles. Retailed at 5USD, players will also get a 2USD bonus that equates to 200 Moola that they can spend on The Sims 4 Marketplace.

Here's a closer look into everything you should expect in this Kit release:

Table of Contents

Screen 1

The first image showcases a dimmed Music studio room with recording equipment clutter, retro furniture and a bookshelf with a guitar stand, sheet music stand, new synthesizer / piano keyboard and vinyl covers.

Screen 2

The second image showcases almost all of the same items but in practice by other Sims - and in different color swatches. Ranging from vibrant blues to earthy greens, you'll be able to add decor wall foam to absorb all those loud practice sessions, maybe try out the new violin and show off your new talents to other Sims.

Huge thanks to SimFans.de who posted the screens!

The Sims 4 Music Den Kit will be available for 5USD on July 23rd, 2026 across all official platforms.

the free moola oh they’re getting DESPERATE lol

Wish they’d actually give us new gameplay instead of holding it all till project x. The kit looks decent but empty because there’s nothing new to do.

This would have been an opportunity to add new instruments. At least a drum set.

Many people may not like kits, but Maxis understands how to fill a niche instead of producing YET ANOTHER living room or bedroom. It’s pretty difficult to make a recording studio or a record store and this serves that purpose nicely. Most of the items look like they’re straight out of a recording studio.

It’s nice to have NEW items that don’t appear anywhere on the marketplace, even if they’re decor. A sheet music stand, a new violin, a metronome, a suspended guitar, individualized vinyls and neon music store artwork among other recolors. It’s missing a framed LP.

What’s SORELY missing is a new instrument. We haven’t really received any since base game (which isn’t an extension of another instrument). At least add the ability to make an album object that we can sell to Sims with to the kit. We have a lot of existing gameplay items that can be repurposed, and I think it’s fair to repurpose the keyboard into a soundboard to compile music from “samples” recorded from other instruments or the microphone to sell to Sims.

And do what with 200 free Moola? I still don’t want to use the marketplace lol

The violins are an “old” instrument. But I see two new el-violins for both adult and children, in the second picture.
I will still be looking forward for this.
Aslo I have missed a new keybord, and some gituars that are able to be sat on a wall. Or tucked a way whit a bookplace or sound place.

The last keyborad was from city liveing, right!

The only keyboard we have is from City Living.

Although this is technically a keyboard, the design is something closer to a piece of recording equipment with a midi keyboard attached. It would actually be one if sheet music was replaced with a monitor. Now, it just looks like an expensive recording studio keyboard.

I wish the other instruments looked like normal but expensive instruments. These look like art pieces but what bands are playing with them? You can’t even be a traveling rock musician with a signature guitar. At least, not with game mechanics.

Finally a new violin that looks like an electric violin. If this kit is still available on the EA app, I might use the last amount on my ea wallet to get it. I hope the free moola doesn’t mean it’s marketplace exclusive. I won’t buy moola, I am not that desperate for a new look for existing instruments.

I do like the idea of the kit bit how hard can it be to include 1 new gameplay objects being a pair of DRUMS. Like is it really that much to ask?

Also, keep the free Moola. We ain’t spending it.

I like that they added a new piano that is not a grand piano that costs only 5 bucks to add to your game. I for one do not have City Living yet because I keep being unsure about getting it for just 1 or 2 things/gameplay features. And since the base game only has a great big grand piano, that means your sims need a lot of space in their home to have a piano if you do not have City Living. I was disappointed though that they did not add a cheaper way to get an upright piano. Our family has one that I grew up with and I want to recreate my childhood home and my current home in the sims 4 and they would not feel complete without an upright piano. Currently you have to get either Growing Together or Businesses and Hobbies if you want an upright piano. Again I do not like the idea of paying for a full expansion pack for just 1 or 2 items/gameplay features. That is with the exception of something that is a major part of the theme of the pack such as clubs or weather/seasons. Obviously I could just go get a cc piano like I want, but I would prefer not having to get cc for something like that. Especially since hunting down what I want that is compatible with my specific combination of packs is going to be time-consuming. That is time I would rather spend just playing my games. If they are going to add new variations of base game instruments, couldn’t they add in an upright piano? Upright pianos were base game in some previous iterations of The SIms.

I literally broke into a chorus of “Hallelujah” when I saw we’re FINALLY getting a music stand in The Sims. Made my day!

We don’t need anymore kits!! We just need y’all to fix our game please!!! More stuff adding to our game will just break it even more!!

my wish would be for them to focus on stuff packs that are kits with one or two added gameplay mechanics. i love this, and the kits give me that little dopamine hit and they get paid for that lol but since they’re leaving the game it would be a nice way to add little things like playing/singing music as a group or drums.
