Pandasama's Childbirth Mod Adds Sims 4 Strollers in New Update!
Newborns, bassinet babies, object babies, etc., are just a few of the terms used for the most limited age stage in The Sims 4. Many players go straight to aging up these Sims into infants, while some keep them in this stage longer to avoid the wrath of infant mood swings and milestones. A long time ago, they used to age fast, transforming to a full child in just a blink of an eye. After years of updates and two additional life stages, the attention and gameplay for newborns has increasingly been pushed aside, keeping them largely objects that you see for one day and then never again.

But modders have been trying to change that! Modder Pandasama has introduced a new update to their Sims 4 Realistic Childbirth mod to actually move us a step closer to fully releasing newborns from the clutches of the object bassinets, with this new update allowing you to move newborns from bassinet to bassinet, as well as move them to a functional stroller!
Pandasama is a well-known Sims 4 Modder known for their additions to family and drama-based gameplay for The Sims 4, with additions including their Realistic Childbirth mod, Co-Sleeping Mod, and Drama Generator mod. They make mods that are heavily customizable and fitting for tons of family situations Sims can run into, completely changing how you view and play with expecting sims and newborns.
General Mod Installation Instructions & Requirements

While we do recommend reading our Beginner Guide to Mods & CC for a more detailed overview of how to mod The Sims 4 and how those mods should be handled, a quick run down for adding The Sims 4 Childbirth mod by Pandasama to your game would be...
Using your operating system's file explorer, find the location of your Sims 4 Mods folder.
To add the items to your game on Windows, follow this folder path:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
To add the items to your game on MacOS, follow this folder path:
Macintosh HD/Users/User/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
Since the mods comes as a compressed zip file, you need to ensure that you have an extraction program installed. You can use 7Zip, Winrar, Winzip, etc., and both Windows and MacOS have an unzipping function native to their system. Right click on the zipped file and choose to Extract Here/Files or Extract to... to extract directly to a folder.
Since the Sims 4 Childbirth mod includes both a .package file and a .ts4script file, it must not be placed more than a single folder deep in your mods folder. We would recommend separating the mod entirely on its own, or at least keeping it with other script mods. Also, the .ts4script file and .package file must be kept in the same folder.
Since this is a standalone script mod with additional modules, you do not have to install every module and you can pick and choose. However, the major files necessary include Pandasama_Childbirth.ts4script and Pandsama_Childbirth_mod_v1.971.package* . These files handle the overall mod, while the modules
- Pandsama_Childbirth_mod_BabyHealth_v1.971.package*
- Pandsama_Childbirth_mod_GenderReveal_Module_v1.971.package*
- Pandsama_Childbirth_mod_BabyHealth_v1.971.package*
- Pandsama_Childbirth_mod_Lactation_Module_v1.971.package*
- Pandsama_Childbirth_mod_PATIENT_death_enabler.package*
- Pandsama_Childbirth_mod_PregnancyLoss_Module_V1.971.package*
... are all optional packages that can be added on or removed, depending on your playstyle and preferred functionalities. They all have descriptions available on Pandasama's Official Website.
*NOTE: The ending of six of the packages, specifically the "V#.##" version numbers, will likely change over time. Make sure to check Pandasama's Patreon or Website directly to see which versions are up to date!
It is important to watch for updates from the author when the main game receives a patch, and as of August 30th, Pandasama has stated that all of her mods are compatible with the recent August 25th update, which are versions 1.127.41.1030 on Windows & 1.127.41.1230 on MacOS.
Also, make sure Script Mods are enabled in your game settings!

The Sims 4: Get to Work
Since so much of Pandasama's mod takes place at the hospital venue added by the active Doctor career from The Sims 4: Get to Work (2015), the mod's functionality largely requires this expansion being installed.
Pandasama's Childbirth Mod Adds Sims 4 Strollers in Recent Update!
Ultrasound Visuals for Twins & Triplets!

Check up visits are a fun aspect of Pandasama's Realistic Childbirth Mod; Take your pregnant Sim and their partner, friend, loved one, or family member to the hospital for check-ups and to get ultrasounds of their little soon-to-be family member.

When getting an ultrasound, you have settings available so you can keep the sex of any baby(ies) a surprise, as well as keeping your Sims' outfits the same instead of a random underwear top to expose their belly.

No matter how many babies you had, in the past, the visual for the ultrasound would be the same while the notifications gave you the actual information; The ultrasound tech will tell you the status of your pregnancy, how many babies your sim is carrying, and the sexes of each baby if they are multiples.

Although The Sims 4 only has up to triplets, the mod will recognize up to Sextuplets if the amount of babies possible per pregnancy is increased using MC Command Centers.

Now, though, there are proper visuals for Twins and Triplets! When getting an ultrasound at an in-person hospital visit, the ultrasound monitor screen will now show different ultrasounds for singletons, twins, and triplets, with your sim receiving one photo per ultrasound in their inventory!
Bassinet Changes

Babies are no longer fully stuck to the same bassinet they were born into, which is great, since forgetting to place down a preferred bassinet and having mismatched furniture can be such a pain! Babies can now be swapped to any available empty bassinet or bassinet-like furniture piece available on the lot by clicking on their current bassinet.

Cheats

Another small addition to the pie menu on Bassinets is that when you shift-click on a bassinet, Pandasama has added the option to easily rename your baby!
Strollers

Lastly, this update to the Sims 4 Realistic Childbirth mod by Pandasama now adds strollers, allowing you to take your babies easily for a stroll around the neighborhood! Although bassinet babies cannot go off-lot just yet, having the option to take a quiet stroll can make them feel much more interactive!

To use the stroller, just find it in Build Buy mode to start! Place it and pick your favorite swatch. Anything using Pandasama's mods or assets can be found by just searching "Pandasama" in Build/Buy Mode.

Next, go to the baby you want to move and click on their bassinet, selecting the "Move baby.." interaction.

Once the menu pops up, select the stroller! You can then click on the stroller to care for the baby like a standard bassinet, but you can also choose to Use the Stroller or Walk Around With your baby!
The first interaction will have your sim grasp the bars of the stroller, and then you can click around as normal to have them move.

The second interaction will act similarly to going on a jog, with your sim just walking aimlessly around the neighborhood with their little one.

To return your baby to their bassinet, just click on the stroller, select "Move baby.." again, and choose the bassinet you'd like them to return to.

Be cautious when using this mod, however! The routing in The Sims 4 is always... funny, which isn't something this mod can correct, so your Sims may just... abandon their baby on the sidewalk somewhere... and that baby may get taken away because their parents decided to go play Blic Bloc on the computer.

I also noticed, while playing, that if another baby is on their home lot and crying, the parent using a stroller may get a huge backlog of "Baby Crying" queue actions to try and force them to check the baby, so keep an eye for that if you're playing with multiples! Otherwise, though, the mod ran perfectly fine.
Have you gotten to play with the new update for Pandasama's Childbirth mod, or are you looking forward to it once it is publicly available? Let us know, and make sure to follow Sims Community for more mod recommendations and guides!
This mod is currently in its early access period, and will be available via Pandasama's website and Pandasama's patreon on September 18th, 2026.
