The Soft Lines Living Set has been cut from 400 to 300 Moola in less than 2 days!
We didn’t expect for The Sims 4 Marketplace to get dynamic with its pricing range right off the bat in its launch week, but here we are. We received a tip from Twitter user @Fur_Ross about a Sims 4 Maker Set on The Marketplace from Pierisim getting a price cut. The change happened to the Soft Lines Living Set, consisting of 11 Build Mode objects.

As you can see in the preview below, this Build Set used to cost 400 Moola, or around 4USD. Now you can get it for 300 Moola, or around 3USD.

There currently isn’t any information available on what happens to a player who already purchased a Set, and that Set got a price cut just two days after. Normally you’d expect a refund (at least in Moola coins) but we’re not sure if that would be the case with this EA product.

Neither the creator nor EA have released a statement about this price change as of now, but we’ll make sure to keep you posted if more is released.

even for free it’s too expensive lol
The marketplace failing already trust
Probably cause people are FINALLY boycotting this mess.
I love it. Keep boycotting
It would be great if it was free and do a donation to your favorite CC and Mod creators.
I’ve already bought two item sets using Moola. I’ve seen a lot of people criticizing this new feature, but honestly, I think it’s actually a nice way to add something fresh to the game for a reasonable price. I personally find it pretty cool ♀️
A lot of people say it’s just another way for the developers to make money. Maybe there’s some truth to that, but at the same time, the developers mentioned that there will be less large-scale content, and the marketplace can be a way to still bring variety into the game. In any game, you can always find something to complain about — it’s easy to feel like something is missing.
But The Sims is still alive, still evolving, and the developers keep coming up with new ideas — and I like that ♀️
Personally, I don’t feel like EA “scammed” me — I genuinely liked what I bought, and it was only about €5 in total. One of the sets included really beautiful lipsticks and glosses, and now I can make my sim’s lips look amazing — that was something I felt was missing. I also got a couple of outfits with a modern style inspired by medieval fashion. By the way, my sim Amira is actually wearing a top from that set right now.
Overall, I really enjoyed it, and I’ll probably keep buying more — there are quite a few things there that caught my eye.
