So many bug fixes hinted for May 2026!

We've gotten some extra tidbits and information about The Sims 4 Laundry List for May 2026 as we anticipate the arrival of today's Sims 4 Hotfix Update. EA Community Manager EA_Cade answered some questions on the official Sims Discord and shared additional teasers about how big the next Sims 4 Update is.

"Did you know that EA Forums has a 60,000 character limit for blogs? Neither did I, until I hit it when I was writing the [Sims 4] patch notes" said EA_Cade in a reply to a question asking for spoilers.

Question: OOH any spoiler crumbs for the masses

EA Community Manager: Did you know that EA Forums has a 60,000 character limit for blogs? Neither did I, until I hit it when I was writing the patch notes.

We fixed a lot of bugs.

That's all you'll get from me! Laundry List next week

Considering this Sims 4 Update will fix a lot of things, its also expected by the usual Sims fashion that a lot of things will break as well. Both modders and players should expect this Sims 4 Update to hit in the first half of May 2026, with the full Sims 4 Laundry List being released next week.

What do you expect to be resolved and mentioned in the next Sims 4 Laundry List? Let us know in the comments section below!

Hopefully some of those bug fixes will help simmers whose games are still facing serious issues like save corruption. Also I personally want there to be a good set of fixes for playing with infants and toddlers. I so want to get going with trying out family gameplay but have had to abandon it multiple times due to the adults caring for infants and toddlers being too buggy and nannies being practically useless. I heard that some of that was suppsodely already addressed but that it did not fix things for everyone and I have not had the chance to test it to see if fixes already rolled out are sufficient for me yet. Going through college makes keeping up with bug fixes and how they impact my gameplay difficult. Summer’s almost here though.

Would be super cool if they fixed whatever is now preventing me from playing AND being connected to my wifi at the same time. Ever since the last big update, every time I play the sims, it immediately knocks me off my wifi. And then immediately reconnects when I quit the game. It was so infuriating! I’ve had to hard wire my pc to the network because of this. And no longer have an issue. And before anyone blames my wifi, please don’t!

I want the interactions between parents and infant to work better and infants to work better over all. In my game the sims just freeze beforr they do anything with the infants. I have to cheat a lot to not get the infants to be taken away.

Same! I actually don’t play with infants much due to this issue but my recent legacy save has three babies and I’m really trying to see it through. Here’s hoping it gets easier in May!

Please stop telling us about marketplace because most of the simmers don’t care about it and we don’t support it and stop trying to force us to use it because we refuse to.

I hate to break it to you, but this is a news and info site and if they want to post about the marketplace they can.

This article doesn’t mention the marketplace anywhere. At least tell us this in an appropriate article 😀

I want them to focus on time it take for Sims to cook when you command SIM to do something it takes ages to respond. I’m on PS4 console.

I can imagine all bugs in the forum that are on the status “upcoming fix” could be part of that list, as those are quite a few (and a lot of good ones as well!!)

It’s not hotfix! It’s normal update. Please start using proper words ;(
EA is doing hotfixes, yes – right after they f up their update and it’s happening quick. If not – it’s an update.

It is still a hotfix. A normal update would be more than just 2 fixes. It’s really not that deep.

Would love to see basic stuff like more lawn care items, and other basic household stuff. More color options .

off topic comment, i prefer tomodachi life for the 3ds more than the new tomodachi life cause it have more activities, higher mii cap, the concert hall, more places for miis to explore, and mii children don’t grow up instantly.
