The Hotfix for a Quality of Life Update is on the way for next week.
It's never an easy patch release for The Sims 4. The Sims Direct Communications announced today that they'll be releasing a new The Sims 4 Hotfix Update across both Computers and Consoles next week. Proving that there's more to fix for this game rather than just scrolling CAS issues on Console.
The highlighted fixes include Create A Sim, eye dropper tool and controller scrolling issues.
Simmers, We are currently testing fixes for recently reported Create a Sim, eye dropper tool, and controller scrolling issues.
We hope to release these in a small Base Game update across all platforms next week. Thank you for your EA Forums reports, and for your patience.
Question: What about the soft locking for tattoos in the gallery for consoles it’s a very big bug you can’t use tattoos at all

The upcoming Sims 4 Hotfix update will arrive just a few days after the big Quality of Life Update. It sure wasn't a small patch considering several new issues popped out from it, but it makes you wonder if every The Sims 4 patch will be met with the same question -- Will it break something else?

Well, they broke the Doctor career, Actor career and loving, taking care and adopting pets to name a few, so yeah they better get their s*** together as soon as possible.

The issue with a gane like the sims us the amount of programing.thats why you dhouldnt buy every pack available or not use every pack in allsaves. Maybyin 1 and then do one with just your favs.
You need to understand the amount to check is so big . Thatsxwgy every other lufe sim faiks.ther give up wgen ther relise. The sims team is a miracle as ther fsme mostly atleast works. And befor you say broken, its a term used for the most minore ussue. Broken should mean a corruptet save abd sparently that is mostly Fixed.
What about the carrer is bugged?
Go to the forums report it and upvoat it to let them knew
Then try to mayby do multiple saves with mixes of packs. Mayby its a random packs code that causes it and without it it works.
After you can for now usea diferent save for these carrers and anpther save for when you dobt use them with ouür without the packs.depends realy on what you wanne use

This is so embarrassing. At this point, please, ask players to test these updates in Beta in exchange for Moola or whatever. AI Quality Assurance is useless.

The fact it fails every single time to test the most basic functions like open CAS and sees if it works, shows it’s useless. There’s no assurance of quality.

this game is so exhausting. can never be excited for an update only worried. yea they fix 1 thing to break 5 others. you have to not care at all for these things to happen this often. do better.

You literally broke the ‘adopt a dog’ option. When you try and adopt a dog, when the adopter comes over, and you click ‘adopt’ the sim just walks up to the dog, picks them up and doesn’t allow the adoption! Wth! Please fix this!

Let’s hope cas gets fixed to immediately move to the item a sim is currently wearing. But at this point hot fixes are feeling like a standard routine in sims 4.

Playing The Sims 4 on Xbox has been causing me a lot of stress and wasting so much time lately. I recently bought the “Businesses & Hobbies” pack, but after the latest update the game has been full of lag and freezing issues.
Since the latest update of The Sims, playing has stopped being a moment of fun and has become a constant source of frustration. Every screen freeze isn’t just a technical issue — it feels like all the time, effort, and expectation are being thrown away at once.
It’s exhausting to open the game already expecting something to go wrong. With every loading screen that never finishes, every bug that appears out of nowhere, a sense of wear and frustration builds up beyond the game itself. What used to be a space for escape, creativity, and control has turned into something unpredictable and irritating.
The worst part isn’t just the freezing — it’s the repetition. Having to restart, wait, and try again, only to see the same problem happen. It slowly drains your patience, turning something that should be light into something heavy.
In the end, what remains is a feeling of disappointment. Because it’s not just about a game that isn’t working properly… it’s about losing the desire to play something you genuinely enjoyed.

Today the Game crashed 4 times, every time when the sim is making nectars and another sim is communicating with a horse it crashes.

After the update my game opens up to the point that I can choose the game but after that crashes.. so frustrating. Tried deleting all the mods but didn’t change anything still had the same issue.

Is that seriously a question you are still asking? I thought it was common knowledge by now that every time the Sims Team “fixes” something, something else that shouldn’t even be related at all breaks. Every “mods disabled” update breaks the game in some way, that’s just base operations it seems.

Thats normel in programing. Its code and every gane devoleper talks about how random unrelatet code can caus the gane to not work . Ther is the story of obe gane wher a unused texture cant be removed as it breaks the whole game

Goodmorning. As of today (23.5.2026) still no hotfix update (Europe) What is going on? I’m still on gameversion 1.124.55.1030 and I have automatic updates on in the EA app.
