Roblox Creators Stealing Sims 4 CC for Game IT GIRL

Sketchy Things? With Roblox? Shocker…

In a not-so-shocking turn of events, the Roblox fashion game IT GIRL has been found to contain “illegally” converted The Sims 4 CC assets. These assets have been added, converted, and are currently being sold for the Roblox exclusive “Robux” currency on the in-game player-to-player marketplace.

Unfortunately? This isn’t new; this swath of unapproved conversions by The Sims 4 custom content creators is just another instance of decades of poor behavior within the greater gaming community.

This is Part of a Pattern of Bad Behavior

Screenshot 2025 10 21 104722
Apachii Skye Hair by apachii on Nexus Mods is a prime example of other games using The Sims CC assets

The Sims, as a franchise, has always had passionate players who have been willing to use their creativity to enrich the gameplay experiences of themselves and others. Be it stylish hairstyles or immersion-improving gameplay mods, I believe we’re all familiar with a good “shopping spree” of scrolling through our favorite custom content creators’ social media to peruse their latest and greatest creations.

Conversely, creators of The Sims also act as a sort of reservoir that modders from other game franchises siphon from to enhance their own character creators. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim mods using ANTO’s many wonderful hairstyle mods come to mind. Nexus Mods, one of the premier mod-sharing platforms, is rife with The Sims hair conversions that may or may not have been used without permission.

This is something that has been happening since the early aughts with the original The Sims release. Long before Patreon and social media platforms, when random companies could just lift hundreds of assets of custom content and illegally sell them as their own creations in big box retailers. We love to hate on the 2000s being the wild west of technology.

IT GIRL

fdgggd

IT GIRL is a Roblox dress-up game similar to wildly viral Dress to Impress. The “dress up” aspect comes in clutch here, as that is the exact reason why The Sims 4 CC assets have been lifted.

The custom content used was created by Learxfl, SUNBERRY, and Madlen, respectively.

Here are some comparisons of the custom content extracted into Roblox for It Girl in comparison to their respective posts. While it’s one thing to take inspiration from a piece of custom content, it’s quite another to outright extract and publish it on another website. Doubly so as these assets are currently up for sale for Robux on the Roblox inter-player marketplace.

Robux is Roblox’s in-game currency model that can be purchased with real money. This adds a layer of distaste as The Sims 4‘s Terms of Service state that all forms of custom content made for it cannot be sold. Most are familiar with CC creators having a form of “Early Access” for their Patreon supporters, but as long as those assets come out after a time, free for all to use? It’s fine.

This, however, goes against The Sims 4’s TOS, and, while these assets seem to be purely custom, there could be converted custom content on the Roblox marketplace using EA textures/assets in a very much not EA game. While Roblox stood next to The Sims 4 as one of the 10 best-selling games in 2020, EA’s assets are proprietary. Roblox doesn’t have a right to them.

So, What Can You Do?

That’s the gray area, while the individual player can report the assets or alert creators to the misuse of their mods. Ultimately, it’s up to EA to pursue any exploitation of their assets or the content made for their games. This is because, legally, EA reserves the right to take action against any/all infringement of their intellectual property (i.e., The Sims 4) as defined in the TOS. So it would be in their hands to crack down on “CC theft”.

Which, as we can see, unfortunately may not be the case unless something extreme happens. I would personally recommend intra-community moderation. If you’re a Roblox player who sees something? Say something! Maybe EA won’t step in until it’s necessary, but as a community, we can try to put some heat on these creators use steal assets.

Of course, in saying this, I do not condone bullying or flaming of any sort! As a custom content creator myself, I know I would feel frustrated if someone extracted an asset I created without permission and sold it for money. Though please keep in mind that we’re only as strong as we are kind. Kindness is something that should be given in spades, and I believe if you point it out enough times, civilly and thoroughly, at minimum, these asset-rippers on IT GIRL will at least come to some sort of agreement with custom content creators for the usage of their models and textures.

So far, the IT GIRL development team seems well aware of this, as word from our source says that all mentions of The Sims 4 or Sims 4 CC are filtered by their Discord server. This reveals just how much they care about individual creators’ rights and how poorly this reflects on them.

With credit to Reddit user u/shay_shay250 for bringing our attention to the news with their post. They said they wanted to get the word out about what’s been happening, and hopefully, this will bring more attention to it. The comparison images of the custom content vis-à-vis the IT GIRL assets are originally theirs.

Sims Creators Exit EA Creator Network After Controversial EA Buyout

The EA Creator Network Is Losing Some Of Its Largest Sims Creators As They Speak Out On EA’s Controversial Buyout

In the wake of the recent acquisition of EA by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and private equity firms, a number of Sims Creators are choosing to leave the EA Creator Network. Their decision stems from growing discomfort with the new ownership’s ethical values and potential impact on the future of The Sims Franchise. For many of us, The Sims has been a tool of creative expression, trailblazing inclusion and diversity in gaming. Now, with concerns about representation and transparency on the rise, some creators are opting to step away from official partnerships to preserve the integrity of their work and online community.

Who Is Behind EA’s Buyout?

Electronic Arts was recently acquired by a group led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), alongside Silver Lake, a global technology investment firm, and Affinity Partners, led by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Trump. The deal is valued at $55 billion, marking one of the largest acquisitions in gaming history. While the full effects of the buyout are yet to be seen, many Sims creators are already voicing concerns about the values and priorities of the new ownership.

The Saudi PIF has previously invested in other gaming industry giants, but its ties to conservative and anti-LBGTQ+ policies have sparked concern within the community. For Sims creators, whose work often celebrates diversity and self expression, this shift can feel personal.

The PIF is Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, meaning it is an investment fund that manages money on behalf of Saudi Arabia’s government, which in this instance is the unelected Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Saudi Arabia is known for its anti LGBTQ+ stance, as well as other problems that raise ethical concerns, such as the continued war against Yemen and the bombing of civilian populations, the assassination of journalists, and the genocide of native tribes. The Sims Creators Who Have Left The EA Creator Network

Gayming Magazine | Youtube

The wave of departures began two weeks ago when Sims Creator Devon Bumpkin announced his exit from the EA Creator Network. In a public statement on his YouTube channel, he shared his discomfort with EA’s acquisition and expressed his concerns about the values behind the company’s new ownership. You can read the statement in full below:

Hello darlings, I wanted to give you a quick update following the recent news about EA’s sale. After taking some time to think things through, I’ve decided to step away from using my EA Creator Code. I’d kindly ask that you no longer use it when purchasing packs or games moving forward.

This isn’t a decision I’ve made lightly. As most of you know, I’ve built my career and community around The Sims, a game I truly love and that has brought so many of us together. But with the new ownership and everything that comes with it, I don’t feel comfortable continuing to financially promote the company through my code.

This all comes from a place of honesty and alignment with my values. I’ve also decided on stepping away from being an EA Creator completely. I’ll still be creating, storytelling, and sharing the worlds we’ve built together, but with my eyes wide open on all the changes. I just need to do so in a way that feels right for me and for what I stand for. Thank you all so much for understanding, for the love you show me, and for being such an incredible community.

Devon Bumpkin | Youtube

Devon Bumpkin (Aden) went on to clarify that, for the time being, he will continue to post Sims content until the buyout officially goes through, and will then pivot to other games such as the upcoming Paralives, as well as other design and management games such as Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo.

Earlier today, popular Australian Sims Creator James Turner (formerly The Sims Supply) announced his intention to leave the EA Creator Network and expand the library of games he covers on his channel. This exit was followed by a statement from Plumbella, a popular British-based Sims creator known for video essays and lore deep dives. She clarified that she will no longer purchase future releases or cover them on her channel.

A close friend of Plumbella, Steph0Sims, also released a statement regarding her position in the EA Creator Network. She expressed how much The Sims franchise means to her, and how it is a place of comfort, and has been for many years.

What is perhaps the biggest announcement comes from LilSimsie, who has amassed an audience of 2.19 million subscribers. As with other creators, LilSimsie has announced her intention to leave the EA Creator Network, while stating that she believes that EA benefit more from her early access content than she does. The statement in full below:

As I’m sure many of you have seen, it was recently announced that EA is going to be sold to private investors for $55 billion. This news has devastated me. The values represented by the people acquiring EA are fundamentally at odds with what I stand for and support. I’ve been losing sleep over it for weeks, and I’ve been deeply struggling with what to do moving forward.

I have so much love for The Sims. This game has completely shaped my entire life, and I care so deeply about The Sims and the community.

I have made the decision to remove myself from the EA Creator Network. It is my hope that pressure from creators and the community might encourage EA’s leadership to reconsider the long-term impact of this sale and to preserve the values that have made The Sims so beloved. This means that I will no longer receive early access to Sims packs, and I will not have a creator code. Under this new ownership I feel I cannot maintain a direct association to the company. I also truly believe that they benefit more from my early access content than I do, and I think that stepping away is the strongest action I can take against the sale.

This situation is a nightmare for our community. Nobody supports this sale, and it is putting creators in a very difficult position. They have built their entire career and livelihood over a game that they have no control over. I ask that you please not harass other Sims creators over their decisions regarding the game and the creator network. I am very fortunate to be in a position where I can make a choice like this, but not everyone has that ability. I don’t truly don’t believe there is a “right” answer here, and everyone is still trying to figure out their next steps.

I’ve always streamed lots of other cozy games on my Twitch channel and posted them on ‪@moresimsie‬, and I plan to start incorporating some other games that I think you might like here on this channel. This isn’t the kind of change that can happen overnight, and I will still be posting videos playing The Sims. I’ve always been a little bit afraid of posting other content on this channel for fear of alienating my audience, but there are a lot of “Sims adjacent” games that I really enjoy and I would love to start introducing them here.

I’m working on a new Animal Crossing series right now, and I think that if you love building in The Sims you’ll also really like decorating in Animal Crossing. I am so grateful for your support on the Animal Crossing video I made a couple weeks ago, and I hope you’ll like my new ones. I used to post a lot of House Flipper content here a few years ago, and I intend to bring that back. I am also a huge fan of city building games, and I’m really looking forward to the release of Paralives in December. I’ve been (impatiently) waiting for that one for years!

And for the record, Sims was my name first! My real name is literally Kayla Sims, and “Simsie” is a childhood nickname. It’s unfortunate that my username seems so directly tied to the game, but I don’t have any plans to change it. It’s my name!

I’m really, really distraught over this sale and I know that many of you are as well. It’s scary, and it’s breaking my heart. I really appreciate your support as I try to navigate this.

What This Means For The Community

The departure of high profile creators from the EA Creator Network is already reshaping how content is shared and received within The Sims Community. These creators have been central to the games’ coverage and advocacy for inclusive gameplay. Without their voices in EA’s network, fans may begin to see fewer early access previews and sponsored content – but potentially more honest, independent perspectives.

In an internal statement to those in the EA Creator Network, Maxis clarified that The Sims will remain a safe and diverse space for all and has no intentions of changing that. You can read the full statement here!

For many players, this shift is a reminder that The Sims has always thrived on community driven creativity. Whether through let’s plays, customer content, reviews, or storytelling, the heart of the franchise lives in the creative outputs of its players. As creators move away from corporate partnerships, they are reclaiming that space and inviting fans to join them in something more authentic.

Might I suggest you don’t f*** with my sis!

The Sims Team Reassures Creators About The Sims 4’s Future in a New Email

The Sims Team acknowledges the EA Buyout for the first time. Plus, an update on the Black Photos Bug Update for The Sims 4…

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for The Sims 4 community and the future outlook of this franchise. EA announced a buyout by questionable private investors, switching the company from public to private company. Many players, including EA employees saw this change as bad for the future of all gaming studios within Electronic Arts. With talks about possible studio downsizing and closure of low-profit video game studios, such as Bioware.

EA Talks Future of The Sims 4 After The Buyout

The Sims Team hasn’t acknowledged the buyout until a new email surfaced last night. EA Creator @SweetAshGamer shared an email talking about the future of The Sims 4 to its creators.

The first section acknowledged the conversations about the EA buyout. Stating that EA’s mission, values and commitment to players will not change and that The Sims will continue to be a safe space for creating authentic self characters. This hopefully means that the freedom of supporting and creating LGBTQ+ characters will remain the same as it’s been before.

The latter part of the email confirms that The Sims 4 will continue its roadmap of new content from the game. Confirming the November 4th, 2025 Game Update and more content on the horizon “as we look to an exciting 2026”.

The Sims Mobile is Shutting Down Completely

14

The Sims Mobile is pulling the plug in the coming hours.

In a surprising announcement from EA and Firemonkeys team, The Sims Mobile game for iOS and Androids will be shutting down completely. And as we learn from the full announcement, it’ll be completely delisted in a matter of few hours by October 21st, 2025 from the official app stores.

What started as a promising development from the Maxis team at Redwood City turned into unstabile maintenance and low-effort updates at Firemonkeys.

Of course, it seems that the full focus and budget has been given to The Sims FreePlay team which has been operating for almost 15 years now with constant new updates and improvements. In the beginning of this year the game has gotten a significant visual upgrade to enhance the lighting and texture features to modernize the look of the game.

The Sims Mobile, however, has always gotten a short end of the stick from the development budget. Offering its players only reruns of previous events and in-app purchases that cost an arm and a leg.

The Shutdown Roadmap of The Sims Mobile

As announced in the official blog by The Sims Mobile team, the game will first get a new update on October 20th, 2025 that will remove the ability to make any in-app purchases and virtual currencies. Just a day after on October 21st, 2025 the game will be removed completely from the Google Play (Android) and App Store (iOS). Players who have downloaded the game before the removal on smartphone stores will get to play it for a few more months.

The Sims Mobile players will get to enjoy a limited two week period from January 6th, 2026 when all premium Create A Sim and Build Mode items will become available for free. Finally, on January 20th, 2026, the game’s servers will be shut down completely.

See the key dates and information about the app’s gradual shutdown below:

Key Dates and What’s Happening

October 20, 2025 – New update!

The final update for The Sims Mobile will be available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. From this date forward, players will no longer be able to purchase packs or spend real money within TSM. Any existing SimCash, Simoleons, or Tickets can still be used until January 20, 2026.

In the final update, releasing on October 20th, 2025, everyone will receive unlimited energy to help them make the most of this time. This should make it easier to complete projects and enjoy the last few months of play.

October 21, 2025 – Delisted from app stores

The Sims Mobile will be delisted from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on October 21st at 1:30 PM UTC. It will no longer be available for new downloads, but players who already have The Sims Mobile installed or have previously downloaded it can still update or re-download it.

If you are using the Google Play Store and have already downloaded The Sims Mobile, it should update as normal. If you have deleted it in the past and would like to redownload it, you can do so by going into your ‘My apps & games’ section, then into your ‘app library’ to find it.

If you are using the Apple App Store, you will need to open the Apple App Store, access ‘My Purchases” and search for The Sims Mobile to find it. If you are having trouble updating it this way, try deleting the app and redownloading it using this method again.

January 6, 2026 – Content unlocked

All Build Mode and Create A Sim (CAS) items will unlock for every player. These won’t be limited by levels, so that means EVERYTHING Build mode and CAS are available. We want to give everyone the opportunity to build their dream home, design their perfect Sims, and experience everything TSM has to offer before the servers close. We would love to see what you create if you would like to share it with us.

January 20, 2026 – Server closure

The servers will shut down at 1:59 PM UTC. After this time, The Sims Mobile will no longer be playable. Because game progress is stored on our servers, saved data will no longer be available.

Frequently Asked Questions answered by The Sims Mobile Team

The Sims Mobile team has provided a brief FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) thread about The Sims Mobile shutting down. Unfortunately the main question about why The Sims Mobile is pulling the plug hasn’t been answered.

Take a look:

CONVERSATION 2

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there still be events in this update?

Yes. Events will continue to run as usual, so you can still earn Simoleons and items during the final months.

Can I still play after the game is delisted?

Yes. If you already have TSM installed, you can keep playing until January 20, 2026.

Can I still play after TSM sunsets on January 20, 2026?

No. TSM requires online servers to play, so playing in any form will no longer be possible after this date.

Can I re-download TSM later?

If you downloaded TSM before it is delisted, you can re-download it from your app store library until January 20, 2026.

What happens to my purchases?

All purchases you’ve made before October 20 will still work in-game right up until January 20, 2026. After that date, The Sims Mobile will no longer be playable, and any leftover currency will not be eligible for a refund.

From January 6, every Build Mode and Create A Sim item will be free for everyone playing. We recommend using your currency and tickets before then.

On behalf of the entire Sims Mobile team, thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us. We hope you enjoy the final update and that these final months allow everyone to finish projects, make memories, and celebrate their Sims.

Thanks (Dag dag)

What’s Next?

It’s no secret that The Sims Mobile’s development has toned down gradually over the years. Highly priced festival passes, paying for individual swatches and many controversial changes from the original vision started by Maxis has lead away many players from actively playing this game.

image0 1

On one hand, we’re getting new smartphone Sims experiences including The Sims Project Stories and The Sims Project Rene. The first game seems like a similar replica of The Sims Mobile in some ways with a few Gardenscape features mixed in. The Sims Project Rene experience on smartphones promises to be an extension and appropriation of already available features on future Desktop and Console ports of the game. Plus, there’s still The Sims FreePlay which just released a new update several days ago.

project rene gameplay 6

As someone who started playing The Sims Mobile from the day of its release in 2017 until next year in 2018 when the game got really bad, I can’t help but wonder if the game was nothing more than a testing ground for what we’re getting in the future (Project Stories and Project Rene). And if players who spent real life money on Sims Mobile currencies were nothing more but investors in upcoming mobile Sims games.

The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods: 15 NEW Bug Fixes & Feature Changes!

With the most recent expansion pack for the Sims 4 nearing almost two weeks since its release, it is no surprise that modders have already taken matters into their own hands to create Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods to fix any reported bugs, as well as correct or adjust features many have found annoying or irritating.

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods & Fixes

Often Required Mod: Core Library by Lot 51

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Lot 51 Core

While not all of the listed Sims 4 Adventure Awaits mods require The Core Library by Lot 51, it is vital to read their requirements of each individual mod as a good majority of them do, and will not function without it. This mod does not do anything on its own, but lets or modders to create script mods for gameplay without conflicts, allowing for less conflicts and errors.

Bug Fixes

While this is a smaller section compared to the feature adjustments, these are all Sims 4 Adventure Awaits mods intended to fix current bugs and issues that have not yet been corrected by the Sims Team.

Seasons Master Fix [Updated For Adventure Awaits] by LunarBritney

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Seasons Master Fix

With Seasons being one of the higher rated and often purchased packs for The Sims 4, the fact that many new worlds lack accurate seasonal changes has been a disappointment for many players. LunarBritney has a much larger mod that has been updated to include Gibbi Point, allowing the lush floral areas of the world to accurately change color and appearance based on the active season.

Campfire Stew Pot Fix by Sims4Me

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Campfire Fix

A smaller bug recently noticed is that while many have found the addition of cooking over the campfire to be a welcome feature, many have also run into sims blocking the campfire from being used period by autonomously placing the cooking pot. This mod stops the autonomous action, allowing you to freely direct your sims on how to use their campfire.

Custom Venues Fixes by Marquillo

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Custom Venues Fixes

*Requires Core Library by Lot 51*
While the Sims 4 Adventure Awaits contains many cross-pack compatible features, many players have found certain features missing parts to make them function properly, or at least how they’re intended. This mod fixes quite a few of them, and to name a few…

  • Sims can now be assigned to tend the Tattoo Tables from The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies, allowing sims assigned the “Get Tattoo” activity to autonomously request services.
  • Multiple fixes for bugged activities
    • Sims assigned to DJ (Sims 4 Get Together) can now properly perform songs.
    • Sims are not able to be assigned to Tend Coffee & Tea Bars and Counters (Sims 4 Get Together, Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies, Sims 4 High School Years).
  • “Don’t” Activities added to restrict sims from engaging in tasks separate from their intended behaviors, which often slows their work speed and leaves different added features unattended.
    • Don’t Socialize – Sims will not engage in social behaviors or be targeted for them.
    • Don’t Cook – Sims will not autonomously cook food.
    • Don’t Do Home Chores – Sims will not autonomously do home chores (Cleaning up dishes, messes, laundry, etc.)

As well as many more features and fixes!

Feature Changes & Adjustments

These mods are generally adjustments and changes to intended features in the game to help with different preferences between players. This section of Sims 4 Adventure Awaits mods can include how often an action occurs, how an object functions, or removal or addition of restrictions to gameplay features.

Custom Schedules Anywhere by Zerbu

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Custom Schedules Anywhere

Removed the restriction that stopped players from using the “Custom Schedule” feature for any other lot type besides Custom Venues. Requires players to change the lot type to a custom venue, change the custom schedule, and then change it back to the desired lot type. This opens up multitudes of gameplay opportunities to create special schedules for lots found in the base game and other DLC.

It is noted that it does not work for Residential Rental Lots. (Sims 4 For Rent)

Plan Getaways Anywhere by LunarBritney

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Plan Getaways Anywhere

This simple mod by LunarBritney removes restrictions on what lots Getaways can be hosted on with the new Getaway system, including custom venues added by Basemental’s Universal Venue List!

Run Lectures in Getaways by LunarBritney

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Run Lectures in Getaways

When creating the actions for each role in the Sims 4 Adventure Awaits getaway planner, the Sims team seemed to create cross-pack compatibility in allowing the lectures from The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies to be attended, but there was no option to host or run lectures in Getaways. LunarBritney adds the ability for sims to host lectures, even down to limiting the feature to certain skills!

Assign Any Sims to Custom Venues by LunarBritney

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Assign any Sims to Custom Venues

A current limitation found is that while sims have the ability to have caring for children as an option, toddlers and infants cannot actually be selected for custom venue roles, and neither can pets (Cats, Dogs, Horses). This mod removes the restriction when you are visiting a Custom Venue, allowing you to choose any sims existing within your save.

It is also noted that due to the way The Sims Team created the custom venues system, you must play as a separate household to assign household sims. It is not known at this time whether this is something that Sims 4 Adventure Awaits mods can fix or change.

Mini Free Weights by CBXSims

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Mini Free Weights

Our very own Callum (CBXSims) shrunk down the free weights added in the pack because they were mapped large enough that they took up two grid spaces, and also could not be placed on any surfaces and instead were always stuck to the floor. Now, they are shrunk to a more manageable size so you can freely place them wherever you’d like!

Fully Functional Fan by CBXSims

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Fully Functional Fan

CBXSims aka Callum also added functionality to “The Proto Fan” added in the Sims 4 Adventure Awaits, allowing it to be used in conjunction with Seasons to cool off warm spaces, and therefore cool off warm sims!

Unlocked CAS Parts [Adventure Awaits Update] by Fogity

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Unlocked CAS parts

Unlocked CAS Parts, a mod with many modules by Fogity, allows you to unlock hidden, locked, or just generally unavailable items in CAS so you have more freedom to customize your sims however you would like. These include multiple organizational categories, including Unlockable, Cheatable, Gameplay, Locked, and Lost, as well as items locked to specific occults (Alien, Vampire, Mermaid, Werewolf, Fairy). Per Fogity’s update to the mod, the Plumbird Suit for Pruella the Plumbird is now unlocked under the “Locked” category of the mod, and the Imaginary Friend outfits are now unlocked for children under the “Lost” category of the mod.

Imaginary Friends Stay Longer [3 Versions] by CiwayW

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Imaginary Friends Stay Longer

The Imaginary Friends added in the Sims 4 Adventure Awaits has been an exciting reintroduction to the beloved Sims 3 Generations feature for many long-time players. However, when summoned, Imaginary Friends only stay for a measly two hours before returning to Imaginary Land. With this mod by CiwayW, with three options, you can choose for them to stay and play for up to 6, 12, or 24 hours.

*Pick the time option you prefer and only install that file*

Better Playground Mod by CiwayW

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Better Playgrounds

Playgrounds have been a nice addition with the modular playground items added in the Sims 4 Adventure Awaits, especially the fact that it is a base game feature. However, with it requiring so many items, it can be difficult for those with the base game or just not Adventure Awaits to actually make playgrounds without repetitively using the same spaceship or pirate ship.

CiwayW has created a mod that changes a few details about how Playgrounds function in The Sims 4! CiwayW increased the amount of items (From every pack!) that are considered “Playground Equipment”. Some examples include puppet theater, toddler jungle gyms, voidcritter battle stations, basketball hoops, and more! They also added autonomous behaviors to these items so sims will naturally seek them out to play.

Another note is that toddler sims that attend a playground often spawn with just a random adult sim, but CiwayW fixed it to where they will spawn with sims that are their actual caregivers, such as parents and grandparents.

Less Imaginary Friend Text Spam by Sims4Me

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - Less Imaginary Friend Text Spam

Since the game alerts you whenever your sims summoned imaginary friend appears, leaves, tells jokes, watches your sim do activities, etc., the notifications (combined with the many other notifications already in the game) can be overwhelming. Sims4Me removed these notifications, decluttering your notification bar for the many other notification the game (and all its DLC!) already provides.

No Competitive Headlines Module by Sims4Me

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - No Competitive Headlines

This is a part added to the “Less Headlines” mod by Sims4Me, which replaces the textures for certain headlines to a transparent texture, making them invisible. This can be helpful for stopping annoying popups appearing in screenshots, or just to help declutter your sims headspace in general. This specific version replaces the textures for the Competitive trait headlines, which appear often as your sim develops a Good or Bad competitive spirit.

REQUIRED: Main Less Headlines Module by Sims4Me

This is the main module required for the previous Less Competitive Headlines mod, which also links to modules for many other packs and gameplay features. This allows you to remove headlines to your hearts content, and keep any that you prefer to see as they appear.

No Visible Competitive Sweat by Sims4Me

Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Mods - No Visible Competitive Sweat

Another feature of the Competitive trait is a set of cartoonish sweat droplets that appear when your sim is performing almost any skill, and can often stick around and become an annoyance.

The Sims 4 Modular Playgrounds & Their Pieces

Modular Playgrounds are made up of combinations of the various 15 different pieces found Buy Mode. These range from 200 Simoleons to 750 Simoleons and include fences, ladders, stairs, various levels of platforms, a connector tunnel, a connector bridge, a climbing wall, and even slides.

There are seven color variations, which can be mixed and matched when configuring your playground. For a full list of The Sims 4 Modular Playground pieces, check out our The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits: Build/Buy Overview!

Create your Custom Playground

Every Modular Playground starts out as a single Platform, since they are the base of playgrounds. Once you’ve placed a Platform, you can then add other pieces of playground equipment.

The Sims 4 Modular Playgrounds, Adventure Awaits- Platform Required

There are Short and Tall pieces, and both can be used in the same Modular Playground setup to add more dimension. The BamCo Playground Piece: Connector Tunnel, BamCo Playground Piece: Connector Bridge, The BamCo Playground Piece: Climbing Wall, The BamCo Playground Piece: Ladder, and the BamCo Playground Piece: Classic Slide are all restricted to connecting to the Short Platforms.

On the other hand, The BamCo Playground Piece: Spiral Slide can only be connected to the Tall Platforms.  To connect a set of Short and Tall Platforms, you will need to use the BamCo Playground Piece: Connector Stairs.

Fences can be added to both levels of the Platforms for security and to finish off your playground build.

The Sims 4 Modular Playgrounds, Adventure Awaits- Family Gym

InZOI News: Update on Upcoming Game Features and Design Decisions

1

Developer answers hot burning questions about the next features coming to InZOI!

We have some new InZOI News today from Kjun, the developer making big design and feature decisions. Just a week after sharing a preview look into upcoming Updates for InZOI (such as Burglars, Calendars and more), we now know additional information about the intentions and features of said updates.

inzoi update new october 10 screen 57
Sneak peek at Burglars coming to InZOI

Players were interested to know what will make InZOI stand out from The Sims. And while Kjun did confirm that they’re constantly working on new system iterations for the game, he also confirmed that a popular Sims 4 feature is now in the works. And that’s multitasking! “We’re developing multitasking features such as talking while eating or drinking while doing another activity” said the developer in an extended developer feedback session on Discord.

Find out all the new information shared by Kjun himself in the new detailed analysis of upcoming InZOI features and changes:

LETTER 2 PATTERN e1675116678818

Many people shared great feedback again this week. It’s not easy to organize and respond to everything, but writing this post makes me happy because your opinions give us great inspiration for development. I’ve summarized the feedback on inZOI by major topics, grouping similar opinions together and focusing on those that were mentioned multiple times. Also, starting this Friday, when we upload our development videos, I’ll include more details about the development intentions behind each feature, as many of you requested.

Detailed Analysis of Major Feedback

1. AI Building Feature

This was the most heated topic, with strong opinions on both sides. Some players want us to continue developing it, while others think we should stop and focus elsewhere. Many also suggested keeping the feature but lowering its priority. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. Some said the feature helps players who aren’t skilled at building or simply want to focus on gameplay rather than architecture, saving them valuable time. Since our development budget is limited, we’ll keep the feature but reduce its cost and scope. I didn’t expect so much discussion, and I’ll decide soon—after discussing it with the dev team tomorrow—whether it will be included in this build. Other requested improvements for the building system include a color picker (eyedropper) tool, wall moldings, and object resizing. We’ll keep improving these usability tools.

2. Gameplay & Interaction

Multitasking – Many users want deeper family/group activities and the ability to multitask (e.g., eating while talking). We’re developing multitasking features such as talking while eating or drinking while doing another activity. We plan to update this by December, and we’ll share a test video soon.

Animation – There were many requests for smoother, more realistic animations for actions like eating, talking, and running. We’re aware this is a major issue—especially since inZOI’s graphics are so realistic that rough animations stand out even more. We’ll keep refining them continuously.

Group & Family Activities – Many asked for group interactions like holding hands, following, or piggybacking. We’re developing a group activity system, allowing multiple ZOIs to move together or perform the same interactions in sequence. This should make dates and family outings feel more natural. We’ll also add baby-related interactions, such as carrying or holding infants and stroller use, starting this December.

Need System – Some mentioned the hygiene need decreases too slowly and feels unrealistic. We’ll review and adjust it if needed. There was also a request for an option to toggle needs entirely—but that would break the game’s core design. Still, I understand the desire to do so sometimes, so I’ll consider adding a cheat or item (like NyangDonut) to toggle it off.

3. Characters & Customization

Items & Appearance – Players requested higher heels (3–4 inches and up), more stylish and varied shoes, and more male hairstyles. These are great ideas—we’ll reflect them where possible. After reviewing, I realized we really do have too few shoe options.

We might add new accessory categories (like bags), though wearing multiple accessories at once is difficult due to high development cost.

TT Character Saving & Creation – Many asked for a preset save feature that stores an entire character (appearance, personality, skills, etc.) and allows sharing. We agree this is essential—it’s already under review and will be added as soon as possible. We also received requests for more flexible face customization and a genetics system for family creation. It’ll take time, but the team is continuously improving this area.

4. World & Convenience Features

Movement & Exploration – Many players want auto-driving, allowing owned vehicles to travel automatically to destinations. Others suggested showing actual driving instead of teleportation for better immersion.

Vehicle AI has been in development for about 1.5 years, but issues like pathfinding errors, U-turns, and traffic jams remain difficult. Managing large numbers of cars in a live simulation causes many complications, so the current version is limited. We’ll continue R&D to improve this over time.

Content & Systems – The calendar and thief systems received very positive feedback. Seasonal events like Halloween won’t be time-limited anymore—once the calendar launches in December, you’ll be able to access all seasonal content permanently.

5. Game Identity

Many players expressed their wish for inZOI to be more than a “Sims clone”, emphasizing its own depth and realism. Thank you so much for this encouragement. While we value your feedback, the inZOI team also adheres to its own development philosophy—for example:

  • Using AI to make ZOIs behave and communicate more like humans.
  • Building systems that empower players to create diverse user-generated content.
  • Some of these systems already show real potential, and we can’t wait to share them soon.
  • Although most of the team is focused on improving existing features, two dedicated teams are developing new systems. Even if we fail, we’ll keep pursuing bold ideas to create truly unique fun experiences.

6. Technical Issues & Build Mode

Optimization We’re heavily investing in optimization so players with both high-end and low-end PCs can enjoy the game. We’ve found improvements through shader optimization, and we’re focusing on enabling play even on devices without Nanite support. We’re also improving memory optimization and crowd rendering—making spaces feel lively while keeping performance stable. We’ll make sure ZOIs never feel lonely.

7. Other Key Feedback

Many asked to continue playing with old save files after updates instead of starting over each time. We sincerely apologize—technical constraints have sometimes prevented backward compatibility. We’ll do our best to minimize this issue in future updates. There were also requests to let inactive NPCs autonomously marry, have children, and work, with an option to toggle this behavior. Opinions were split on adding wheelchairs and crutches—some support more diversity, others worry about resource allocation. Some players want deeper personality systems based on psychological models like the Enneagram, beyond simple traits.

And finally, several players strongly requested restoring the deleted “secret fart” interaction because it added humor and realism. We’ll bring it back immediately!

The Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block Aspiration Guide

The Sims 4 ‘Cool Kid on the Block’ aspiration is newly included in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits expansion pack. Like quite a few of the aspirations before it, it feels like a tour of the new content in the pack. Follow along for a detailed guide on how to complete each step of this aspiration.

Rock Star Phase

The first phase of the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration has four steps to complete. Most of these are self-explanatory, but one of them players might find a bit tricky.

Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration phase one

Step One

“Play Rock, Paper, Scissors for a Collectible 5 Times.”

The first goal is the one players will have the most difficulty completing because it’s the trickiest of the bunch and also requires the most time to complete. Hovering over this quest gives you the following hint.

Find the Collector Kid in Gibbi Point’s Crystal Valley neighborhood and choose to Play Rock, Paper, Scissors for Collectible with him for the chance to win a collectible!

The Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block Aspiration

Do as it says and pop on over to the Crystal Valley neighborhood. It’s the one on the right of the map.

Crystal Valley Location

Once there, you’re looking for the abandoned mine. That’s where you’ll find the Collector Kid, Buddy Scoop. I’ve marked the location on the map below.

Collector Kid's location on map

The Collector Kid will be at this location from 10 am to 8 pm every day at his collectible table. Just a kid being a kid chilling at an abandoned mine by himself.

Buddy Scoop at the abandoned mine

Once you’ve located the Collector Kid you’ll need to play rock, paper, scissors for collectibles with him until you win.

Rock, paper, scissors against Buddy Scoop

Easy enough on its own. There’s a catch, however. Buddy only has so many collectibles on him at one time. For instance, my first time visiting him he only had a single item. Once I won that collectible, I couldn’t play again until the following day.

Out of collectibles

Therefore, it’s best to start with this goal as it will be the most time consuming of the bunch. While waiting for him to refresh his stock you can work on the other quests.

Step Two

“Win Rock, Paper, Scissors 5 Times.”

This is a lot simpler than the quest above because you can find any other Sim and spam playing rock, paper, scissors until your Sim wins. Then do it again and again and again until they’ve won five times.

Sims playing rock, paper, scissors

Simple as that.

Step Three

“Befriend 3 Children.”

No guide needed here. Simply have your child play with and socialize with other kids until they become friends. Not much to it, really. Just don’t be mean and you’ll have this one done in no time, especially with all of the new activities for kids added in the pack.

Step Four

“Achieve Level 4 Social Skill.”

Another simple one, but might still take a bit of time depending how many things your child is juggling at once.

There are a number of ways your child can raise their social skill. The easiest and fastest is to have them, well, socialize with other sims. They’ll naturally build this skill as they go about their day to day as long as you’re not locking them in a room by themselves all day. If you do, I’m calling Children Protective Services.

Sims will also gain social skill from socializing with animals, both alive and stuffed. The practice speech option in mirrors is a great way for the more introverted sims to gain the skill as well.

Having said that, I wouldn’t suggest introverted Sims partaking in the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration as it’s a highly social aspiration. Loner Sims will frequently feel uncomfortable in many of the steps throughout.

Seeking Admiration Phase

The second phase of the aspiration will take some time to accomplish as well. Nothing is too difficult here, but it’s all still time consuming.

seekingadmiration

Step One

“Find 5 Hiding Sims during Hide and Seek.”

This is a fun one for both Sims and the player because of how interactive it is. Have your Sim start a game of Hide and Seek and choose how many Sims will take part. Your Sim will begin counting while all of the others run off and hide.

Sims counting for Hide and Seek

Once they’re finished counting, they will begin hunting down the hiders. It’s not all up to them where they look, though. You’re also able to take part in the game and seek out the other Sims. Look for random boxes lying around or sparkling effects on different items. Once you find one, point it out to your Sim.

Sims are able to hide in a variety of items from bushes to beds to trash cans. Keep an eye out for the sparkles! It’s actually quite a challenge on bigger lots because if you zoom out too far to do a quick scan of the lot, the sparkles disappear. So you’ll need to take your time scanning the lot bit by bit while more zoomed in.

Sim hiding in bush

If you play with enough Sims, you can finish this goal in a single game of Hide and Seek. Otherwise keep playing until you’ve found a total of five.

Step Two

“Trade for Three New Collectibles.”

A new social option added in game is the ability to trade collectibles with other Sims. This is an excellent way to finish the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration during this step and a later step.

Once you have some collectibles, doesn’t matter what collection they’re a part of, you can trade them with any Sim for another random collectible you haven’t discovered.

Sim getting collectible

Above is my Sim trading with Buddy at his collectible table, but you can trade with any Sim.

Step Three

“Achieve Level 8 Social Skill.”

Same as before, just a lot more work to get it to level 8. Some other options you have to increase your Sim’s social skill are having them chat in a kids chatroom on the computer or put on a puppet show with the puppet theatre added in the Kids Room Stuff Pack.

Step Four

“Win an Archery Competition.”

To complete this goal your Sim will first need to reach level 2 in the archery skill. Luckily for you, we have an Archery Skill Guide just for that.

Once your Sim is level 2 in the Archery Skill, they’ll be able to compete against other Sims in an archery competition. You can compete against any Sim on your current lot, you don’t even need to know them. Simply click on the archery target and choose to compete.

Archery competition

While the ability to compete unlocks at Archery Level 2, you’ll most likely need to raise the skill higher to win a competition. Keep having your Sim practice to raise their skill until they’re able to win and complete the goal.

Block Champion Phase

This is the final phase of the aspiration and arguably the easiest to complete in the entire Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration.

Block champion aspiration phase

Step One

“Make a BFF.”

With all of those friends your Sim had to make previously in the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration, and all of the different games they’ve played with them, chances are likely you’re in BFF range with at least one of them.

Once your Sim has a high enough friendship level with another Sim (80%), you can choose the social interaction “Become Best Friends Forever” under the “Change Relationship” tab of the social wheel.

Step Two

“Win 3 Competitive Games.”

This quest is quite open-ended as there are so many different ways to compete against other Sims. Rock, Paper, Scissors; Hopscotch; Video Games; Marbles; Hide ‘n’ Seek; Archery; the possibilities are near endless.

Sims playing video games

My Sim played a multiplayer game with his sister and won the first game only to lose the second and rage quit.

Keep trying a variety of games, competitions, and activities until your Sim wins three of them.

Step Three

“Complete any Collection.”

This task might seem daunting at first, but if it’s a Sim you’ve been playing for some time, you might already have a finished collection or one nearly finished.

If not, one of the easiest collections to complete for the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration is probably the new butterflies and moths collection. We’ll have a guide on the collection and the attached Entomology skill soon. In the meantime, here’s a quick rundown for you.

There are two ways to complete the butterfly and moth collection. The first is to explore all of the different areas of Gibbi Point hoping to find and catch them.

Caterpillar incubator

The easiest way, however, is to raise them yourself. You’ll first need to buy the “Flutterarium Caterpillar Incubator,” or several to make this even faster. Once purchased, you’ll be able to start raising a caterpillar. At first you’ll only be able to select a random caterpillar to raise, but as your Sim increases their Entomology skill they’ll be able to choose specific breeds.

Raising caterpillar

Keep raising these caterpillars and you’ll have a near completed collection quickly. Make sure you remember to feed them! However, there’s one butterfly you cannot raise or catch. You need to make it.

To make the Magical Origami Butterfly and complete the collection, you’ll need to raise your Sim’s origami skill to Level 2. I have a Papercraft Skill Guide to help you with that.

Origami butterfly

Once crafted, place it in the butterfly habitat and your collection is complete.

There are tons of different collections in Sims 4, and any of them will work for the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration. We have a Collections Guide for the other collections as well if insects aren’t your thing.

Aspiration Completed

completed

Once you finish the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration your Sim will earn the “Coolest Kid” trait. This trait gives them a boost to their chances of winning at different competitions against other Sims.

coolestkidtrait

Enjoy knowing you now have the Coolest Kid thanks to completing the Sims 4 Cool Kid on the Block aspiration.

EA Employees and US Politicians are Standing Against the Company Buyout

15

A new petition from EA employees has surfaced online, along with additional pushback from US politician representatives.

Electronic Arts is currently facing two opposing forces negotiating against the recently announced private equity buyout. One by the United States politicians who are concerned for the privacy and data collection of millions of players, and another by EA’s own employees who are worried about their job positions.

SIMS EA SOLD

Let’s break it down in the latest news reports:

US Politicians Send a Letter to the US Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs

An official letter pushing against Electronic Arts’ $55 billion dollar buyout by private investment firms, including Jared Kushner, Saudi Arabia’s private investment fund and Silver Lake was sent out today. The letter, written by US politicians Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal to United States’ Scott Bessent, Secretary of of the Treasury and Chair of the Comittee on Foreign Investment talks about the concerns of this private deal. Stating that there are several risks at stake with the proposed buyout; including data collection, Saudi Arabia’s intentions of clearing its name and Jared Kushner’s inclusion in the deal to ensure “government’s approval of transaction”.

The letter goes in greater detail about the concerns this imposes for the national security and customer data. Implying that “The unrestricted access to this information by a repressive, authoritarian government poses significant potential risks of surveillance of Americans, covert Saudi propaganda, and selective retaliation and censorship of persons disfavored by the Saudi government.”

Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal emphasized on the secret intentions that this leveraged buyout might have for Saudi Arabia’s long term goal.

Leveraging long term shifts in public opinion, through the PIF’s investments, “Saudi Arabia is seeking to normalize its global image, expand its cultural reach, and gain leverage in spaces that shape how billions of people connect and interact.” Saudi Arabia’s desire to buy influence through the acquisition of EA is apparent on the face of the transaction—the investors propose to pay more than $10 billion above EA’s trading value for a company whose stock has “stagnated for half a decade” in an unpredictably volatile industry.

Considering that Saudi Arabia’s Private Investment Fund is the majority stakeholder of this buyout, the mentioned US politicians are concerned for Jared Kushner’s involvment in the whole purchase. Insinuating that his son-in-law relations to the current president of United States Donald Trump might be the main reason he’s being involved in this deal. Ensuring that it goes through successfully during his presidency.

Moreover, the PIF’s decision to partner with Trump family member Jared Kushner, whose firm previously received a $2 billion investment from the PIF over the objections of the PIF’s own investment screening board, raises troubling questions about whether Mr. Kushner is involved in the transaction solely to ensure the federal government’s approval of the transaction. Given the proposed transaction’s termination fee contingencies, the three investors appear to be betting $1 billion that Mr. Kushner can deliver the Trump Administration’s regulatory approvals. Indeed, consistent with the Trump Administration’s unprecedented corruption and monetization of federal government power, “What regulator is going to say no to
the president’s son-in-law?”

The full letter to US Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs can be found here. According to Insider Gaming, the first round of reviews and investigations on this matter should be done by November 4th, 2025.

This wouldn’t be the first time that a video gaming company buyout is facing pushback in the world of US politics. Microsoft’s acquisition of gaming company Activision / Blizzard went through several trials, regulations and pushbacks before the deal eventually went through. This time around the employees are ready to push back too…

EA Employees are Taking a Stand

What started as anonymous quotes to news reporters about the potential workspace insecurity turned into a public petition. Created by its own employees at EA, the new official petition is standing against the privatization and buyout of Electronic Arts. If jobs are lost or studios are closed due to this deal, that would be a choice, not a necessity, made to pad investors pockets — not to strengthen the company.

The petition states that Electronic Arts makes $7.5 billion revenue a year, with over $1 billion dollars in profit. It’s not a necessity, but rather a free choice by EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson. One that its own employees weren’t made aware of, and are now concerned for their own future.

Read the full petition down below:

ea petition buyout Large

For years, video game publishers have been racking up profits by squeezing workers and players.

Now a group of investors – including the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia and Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners – wants to buy Electronic Arts, concentrating even more power and wealth into the hands of a few gatekeepers while doing nothing to address the concerns of workers and players.

EA is not a struggling company. With annual revenues reaching $7.5 billion annually and $1 billion in profit each year, EA is one of the largest video game developers and publishers in the world. EA’s success has been entirely driven by tens of thousands of EA workers like us whose creativity, skill and innovation made EA worth buying in the first place.

If jobs are lost or studios are closed due to this deal, that would be a choice, not a necessity, made to pad investors pockets — not to strengthen the company.

We are calling on regulators and elected officials to scrutinize this deal and ensure that any path forward protects jobs, and preserves creative freedom.

Sign the petition to join us in our fight to make video games better for workers and players – not billionaires.

The petition can be signed by both EA players and EA employees, as well as players of video games from other companies.

It’s been expected that the largest video game buyout will face pushbacks and obstacles, but not on the scale where the company’s own employees are ready to empower complaints to the Federal Trade Comission.

The Sims 4 Skip Broke Lore We Didn’t Know We Needed

Who Doesn’t Love A Good Comeback?

With the batch of new townies presented in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits, we’re met again with a familiar face: Skip Broke! This memorable Sim from The Sims 2 was more of a plot point than a playable character. This, however, hasn’t stopped him from becoming a part of The Sims 2‘s storied history; so much so that he was included in the list of memorable missing persons during the Blast from the Past event earlier this year!

TS4 x64 fpb 2025 10 09 22 48 51

So let’s see what this ‘Prolific Father” is up to in Gibbi Point, and examine the sleeper lore reveal that The Sims Team snuck in. Because, boy, is it a bit of a doozie.

Who Is Skip Broke Again?

coverimageoooskipbrokeooo 2

In The Sims 2? Skip Broke is dead. Not even in the fun, dubious way that makes Bella Goth’s legacy so iconic. Poor guy drowned in a “mysterious pool ladder incident” as described in his bereaved family’s description.

While Skip can be resurrected in-game with cheats, the implied story is about his widow, Brandi, keeping her head above water after this tragic accident, raising her boys, Dustin and Beau, and, on top of that, her surprise baby on the way! Not to mention her oldest’s sudden interest in criminal activity.

It’s all a bit much, right? For a poor widow and her children to encounter so much hardship in the wake of such a tragedy.

This, of course, is all very dependent on the fact that he’s dead and gone and unable to parent…

It All Starts With a (Scribbled) Letter

woo1 1

If you want to know the deets, make your way down to the Lonely Lighthouse in Gibbi Point’s Jellyfish Junction neighborhood. The lighthouse is on a little island in the bay that you can swim to. When you make landfall, click on the lighthouse, and you’ll be given the option to read a ‘Scribbled Letter‘. There’s the option to respond to another letter (and turn the lighthouse on and off), but that’s not the focus of this article.

The story unfolds over the course of three letters, and each letter takes the form of a chance card. In each card, a “mystery” Sim laments their inability to be consistent and present in their life. “Bailing” when the times get tough, and admittedly abandoning loved ones in doing so. I’ve highlighted the best responses in each image.

Obviously, they’re the ones that are most empathetic to the Sim’s feelings and encourage them to work through their emotions. The story can take up to three in-game days for the speediest resolution, or perhaps a bit more if your Sim decides to select ‘(Don’t Write A Response Yet)‘ to draw it out for optimal realism.

wooo8 2

When you reply, you also get this unique Inspired moodlet. Nifty. It also occurs when you reply to the author of the ‘Nature Letter’, but, again, not this article!

A day or so after the last card, Skip will reveal himself as the one who left the letter. He asks you to ask him about it next time you see him, and he gains a unique dialogue option in his social menu called ‘Ask about Lighthouse Letter’.

wooo9

Unfortunately, you aren’t able to really have a “conversation” about it. Instead, you’re given an update card on how you helped him to turn over a new leaf. Skip Broke is a Loyal Sim now! Seems like he really “saw the light.” Badam tss.

The “Negative” Route

If your Sim is a bit more mischievous, they could choose, instead, to be flippant and rude in their responses. Though this largely seems to be a preference in flavor text, as Skip’s responses remain the same.

The interaction then follows the above—he thanks you for responding, asks you to ask him about it, etc. Though this time…

womp4

You’ve successfully convinced him to remain toxic and keep addressing all his issues by ghosting them! Nice job breaking it, hero!

Okay…but that Can’t Be It…Right?

No, that’s not, because on top of the storyline of Skip learning to take accountability (or not) with coaching from your particular Sim. He often references “bailing” when the times get tough.

As mentioned above, Skip Broke was first introduced in The Sims 2 as the deceased husband and father of an impoverished family, but in The Sims 4

hkjhddsjd

We learn from his relationship panel that Skip Broke is queer.

He’s open to exploring romantically, but his romantic preference is set to Men. This revelation has wowed Simmers (for lack of a better term) and made us re-examine the lore of The Sims 2 and the Broke family’s circumstances.

By his own admission…Skip Broke literally skipped out on his broke family. At a glance at his Lighthouse Letters, you could also say it was done regretfully and with much remorse. This is something that happens in real life, as well as something that’s now happened in-game. In both instances? It really, really sucks.

However, I just know you’re asking…

But Is It the Vibe?

The Sims Team has called The Sims 4 an “alternate universe” since launch. So, the Skip Broke of The Sims 4 doesn’t necessarily need to tie back perfectly to the Skip Broke of The Sims 2.

The world is different. This Sim is different. The Skip Broke living with roommates in Gibbi Point is more of an homage than anything. Though you can argue that it leaves a poor taste in your mouth if you connect the Lighthouse storyline of “bailing” back to his family in their trailer. Pairing that with the fact that Dustin Broke has been an in-game NPC as of The Sims 4 Get Famous, well, we may be in for a reunion soon.

At least, I hope so. As the only Broke we’re missing now with The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits is Brandi Broke, her son Beau, and the young baby Broke that The Sims Team will need to give an official name.

As “interesting” as this lore reveal has been, I think it’s brought some much-needed complexity and moral depth. Even if it isn’t a part of every playthrough, it’s still there, and hopefully, The Sims Team may build on these themes and give us something more in the backdrop of our gameplay.

How did you feel about the reintroduction of Skip Broke? Have you been enjoying the addition of iconic Sims, or have The Sims Team been missing the mark? Please, let us know in the comments down below, and keep an eye on Sims Community for all your The Sims 4 news!

The Feed Yourself challenge is all about cooking, baking, and self-sufficiency. It’s time to say “on your marks, get set, BAKE!”

fed myself 1

To start the Feed Yourself challenge, select ‘ Start ‘Feed Yourself’ Challenge’ on either the refrigerator or the microwave. Once begun, your tasks are as follows:

If I’m going to learn to feed myself, I should probably cook with soemone older than me first. To learn.

This first task will require an Adult Sim to use the ‘Cook Together’ interaction with a Child Sim who is pursuing the challenge 3 times. This can be initiated by choosing ‘Cook Together With…’ on the refrigerator, stove, or counter. You must have at least two counter spaces free.

I’m going to make my own food 3 times all by myself! That’ll prove I can do it.

This second task is much simpler and can be completed through natural gameplay. Your Child Sim will need to have a quick meal or drink, either via the refrigerator or the microwave, at least 3 times.

fed complete

The reward for this Formative Moments Challenge is the ‘Fed Myself as a Kid’ reward trait. This will grant your Sims the ability to progress faster in the Culinary career, as well as the Barista and Fast Food part-time careers.

Learn From The Past Challenge (Life & Death)

Unlike the previous challenges, this Formative Moments challenge will require The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack, and will see your Sim becoming friends with a ghost in order to learn about the past. To start this challenge, head to a graveyard lot such as Eternal Hollow in Ravenwood, and select a gravestone to begin the challenge.

ghostformmome

Let’s take a look at what it takes to learn from the past:

Ghosts know a lot about the past. I bet if I made friends with one, I’d learn a lot about it too!

As previously mentioned, this challenge will require a ghost to complete. For the first task, your Sim will need to befriend a ghost. There are a number of ways to meet a ghost, such as creating a ghost in Create-A-Sim and moving them into your active household, visiting Mourningvale in Ravenwood, or killing a member of your active household (I would not recommend the latter)

I want to have a really special connection with a ghost!

The second task will require your Sim to earn a positive sentiment with a ghost. These can be gained by interacting with them a lot or by witnessing special moments with them. You can check out our sentiments guide for more!

pastmem

The reward trait for this Formative Moments challenge is the ‘Learned from the Past’ trait. The Sim who receives this trait will succeed when interacting with other Sims as they grow older, as they are now more worldly-wise!

Unlocking Formative Moments Reward Traits

Any Sim aged teen or older can purchase Formative Moments reward traits from the Rewards Store in exchange for satisfaction points. To access the rewards store, go to the Aspirations tab in the bottom right and select ‘Rewards Store’. You can use the filter in the top left to sort by Formative Moments Traits.

The Sims 4 Forever Friends Event Week 4: Guide and Rewards

The Final Week of The Sims 4 Forever Friends Marks The End – Check Out Our Guide For Week 4!

Week 4 marks the end of The Sims 4 Forever Friends Event, and the last chance to complete the quests and claim your rewards. Don’t worry if you haven’t completed last week’s quests, as we have you covered in our Week 3 Guide. Players have until November 4th (subject to extension) to complete all quests and claim all the rewards before they are gone for good. Let’s take a look at how to complete week 4 of the Forever Friends event!

‘Gone But Never Forgotten’ Quest Steps

ENDING PLAY

The penultimate quest of The Sims 4 Forever Friends Event is titled ‘Gone But Never Forgotten’. Let’s see what it takes to complete Week 4 of the event and gain some goodies!

task 1 ff 1

Our first task of the final week is to pick up our stuffed animal. Time for another adventure out of the house!

task 2 1

Well, that answers the question of where exactly it is we’re heading. Let’s take our Forever Friend to Sylvan Glade. You can travel there via the Sylvan Tree in Foundry Cove. If you need reminding of how to unlock the passage to Sylvan Glade, check out our Week 2 Guide for more!

task 3 place

Next up, it’s time to set our fluffy friend down. You can either place them directly on the small lot with the pond, or click on the Stuffed Animal in your Sims’ inventory and select ‘Place in World’

task 4 int

The last play session ended, and although it took a lot of energy, SIMNAME just doesn’t feel tired. They could go on for more, but there are a few things left to do.

It’s time for our final play session with our friend. Select the Stuffed Animal and select ‘Play’.

task 5 tell

Every word shared feels like stitching another memory into their friendship.

Before we go, let’s tell one last story. Select ‘Tell Story’ with the Event icon next to it.

task 6 photo taking

Let’s capture one last happy memory together. Select ‘ Take an Imaginative Photo’ when choosing the Stuffed Animal.

task 7 hugging

The hug lasted a lifetime, but not long enough.

A flash as if to say goodbye could only be seen by SIMNAME. They felt a touch of sadness but also happy to have enjoyed their adventures together.

The memories will certainly live on forever.

Time to say goodbye. Give them one last hug by selecting ‘ Hug Pixel the Friendly Bear’!

task 8 home

We can’t prolong the inevitable; it’s time to go home. Either choose the home icon on your Sims’ picture in the bottom left, choose ‘Go Home’ on the Sylvan tree, or travel via the map (M on PC and Mac)

And that’s it for the final quest. You can go ahead and redeem your Event Points in the Event tab, or continue on to the next quest.

‘Always With Me, Always With You’ Quest Steps

start screen

Stepping back into the rhythm of daily life, the absence of the Stuffed Animal companion can be felt.

Yet, with each memory, comfort and strength can be found in the bond that will forever remain in their heart.

And here it is, our final quest, titled ‘Always with Me, Always with You’. Let’s take a look at our final few steps!

task 1 telling

SIMNAME heard a suggestion that sounded great. The photos taken can be kept near a Bed, or on a Shelf nearby so that every time SIMNAME walks by, they can see them.

It’s time to share our adventures with someone else. Choose any other Sim and select ‘Tell about Adventures’. Let’s see how we can act on that suggestion.

task 2 frame

Using the photo frame we unlocked in Week 2, we can select it to ‘Manage Photo Inventory’. From here, you can drag across any photos your Sim has taken. As the previous weeks have provided ample opportunity to take a few snaps, it makes sense to add those. You can adjust the speed at which the photo changes.

Task 3 toybox

SIMNAME played and had a good time. No stuffed animal nearby this time, and it did feel different. But they were ok with it. It’s as though it was meant to be this way.

Remembering the times we shared with our Stuffed Animals, it’s time to do the same things, but this time alone. Choose any toy box and play with a toy.

optional build 2

Players with The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack will have the opportunity to nab a few extra points by buying and constructing a treehouse from the Build/Buy Catalogue.

optional play pirate

With the treehouse fully constructed, let’s play pretend! You can select from five options for your Child to roleplay.

task 4 tv 1

SIMNAME watched TV without their Stuffed Animal friend nearby. They didn’t notice until the show was done but felt ok with it. They felt…more independent.

Back to the task at hand! We now need to watch the TV without our Stuffed ANimal nearby. It doesn’t matter which TV station you select; any will apply.

task 5 school

School time! Another day in class, another grade next year.

SIMNAME has a place to meet more real-life friends, while never forgetting the friend they left at home.

Our final task is to head off to school. You may have to wait for the next school day to come; however, don’t worry, as the task will stay around until then.

Screenshot 2025 10 14 18 38 29

And that’s our final quest done! Time to head over to the reward store and redeem your hard-earned Event Points for the final few rewards!

Week 4 Rewards

Take a look below at the final few rewards for completing The Sims 4 Forever Friends Event!

Small Rewards

This week, we get a small bonus (or rather large bonus) of 1500 Satisfaction points that can be redeemed in the Rewards Store under the Aspirations tab.

We also get two potions! The ‘Want Refresher’ potion gives our Sims a new set of wants, and the ‘Re-Traiting’ Potion will change your Sims’ traits.

Brindleton Bay & “San Myshuno” Magnets

Screenshot 2025 10 14 18 36 02

We received the final two magnets for the Magnet Board. The Yamachan magnet has been erronously named “San Myshuno Magnet” despite Yamachan being from Mt Komorebi in The Sims 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pack.

Latest Fashion Jumpsuit

Screenshot 2025 10 14 18 27 59

The latest fashion jumpsuit added to the game is fittingly called ‘The Latest Fashion Jumpsuit’. This is available for both masculine and feminine frames, and comes in a variety of colours and styles, including some neutral swatches.

The Pixel Friends Pyjamas

Screenshot 2025 10 14 18 29 20

The Pevent has finally provided us with something for children! The pyjamas come in 8 swatches that match the Stuffed Animals that have accompanied us over the past 4 weeks.

Active Imagination Trait

Screenshot 2025 10 14 18 34 44

Kids who have this trait will gain creativity skills faster; however, too much work can make them overwhelmed! Once a child with the Active Imagination trait ages up, they will have to replace it with a different trait.
