SimGuruEmory has shared a VERY Small Preview of how a snowfall from The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack can influence Windenburg, a world from The Sims 4 Get Together Expansion Pack.
Take a look at this very small screenshot down below:
SimGuruGrant has just shared the news that Glass Roofs, as seen in The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack Trailer, will be available to all The Sims 4 players as a part of a free game update.
Hmm. Oh yeah. We did do that.
It’ll be a part of the free update for you guys. Cannot wait to see what builders make. https://t.co/QoQX5lXF5Z
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
Although we don’t know when this free update will arrive, we can only speculate and say that it’ll release a week or two before the release of The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack.
TheSims.com has just released a new “Which Season Are You?” quiz to help promote The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack. With this quiz they’ve also included 4 new screenshots that you can check out down below!
SimGurus are currently answering some questions on Twitter regarding The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack.
Although this isn’t a full SimGuru Q&A that we usually get right after a pack announcement, we do have some minor information shared by SimGurus on Twitter. SimGuruKate confirmed that we can expect more information on the road to the release of Seasons.
We’ll make sure to update this post with new tweets as (and if) they surface so make sure you check this post regularly for new information!
No Q&A planned right now. We like to keep some of the mystery live. But much will be revealed in time.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) May 24, 2018
A couple questions I can answer right now! @SimGuruGrant gave me great insight so send thanks his way.
1. There will be no new world because we wanted to focus entirely on making the existing worlds (and all their neighborhoods), as gorgeous as possible for all four seasons.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) May 24, 2018
2. Yes, the new kiddie pools can be used by toddlers. In fact this was the primary reason for creating this wonderful object!
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) May 24, 2018
Okay so I deeply analised the glass roof. And it appears to me that it is a new build mode feature, where you can somehow have actual roofing elements that are glass. In the screenshot you can see that the roof has a roof trim, which completely aligns with the wall! #TheSims4 pic.twitter.com/QzbYzMXG84
— Nick Sims (@NickSimsYT) May 24, 2018
Hrm… who else noticed this? #BuildersGonnaBuild https://t.co/n0GiUkYYZO

Hmm. Oh yeah. We did do that.
It'll be a part of the free update for you guys. Cannot wait to see what builders make. https://t.co/QoQX5lXF5Z

The Sims 4 has been so successful. The community is SO strong. We are thinking years out. We aren't going anywhere. https://t.co/BJVm5hou7u
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
We're super busy right now finalizing TS4 Seasons and preparing for EA Play. But, we will have streams in the near future. https://t.co/V37H0of1Rz
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
We tend to release the update shortly before the pack is available for purchase. https://t.co/KG5CNEay5n
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
YESHHHH!!!!!!!! I think this will outsell C&D lmao
— Natasha (@E4Epic) May 24, 2018
Not likely, but it should do well. It's consistently the #2 pack everyone asks for behind Cats and Dogs. https://t.co/bcFHPWowh8
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
Yes. Worlds will have appropriate weather. Otherwise…I'd have to go into witness protection. https://t.co/agHyMV1OQv

The rain is gorgeous in the jungle… https://t.co/Wy7kDkVyhY

The kiddie pool was designed FOR toddlers. https://t.co/z6SwGXyRXx

The moment at the end of the trailer has really caught many of your eyes.
This is not quite superpowers or magic, but something fun with lightning strikes. I don't want to say too much more or it would spoil the fun. @SimGuruGrant pic.twitter.com/vcQAHvyqtZ— Rebecca Doyle (@SimGuruRad) May 24, 2018
Since you're able to create your own holiday, it would really rain on people's parades if you couldn't make Halloween 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 24, 2018
Yep! One of them is particularly…chilling.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 24, 2018
Are you asking if lightning can kill Sims? It'd be a real buzzkill if it couldn't 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
Question, will the swing set also be usable by teenagers??? PLEASE SAY YES! SWINGS ARE MY FAVORITE THING AS AN ADULT!!!
— Dreama Dove (@DreamaDove) May 25, 2018
Sorry, no beaches as there's no new world, but there are plenty of other fun things to do in the summer 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
Previously existing saves will be prompted to pick a season once you first load them up. After that they'll go through the seasonal cycle just like saves made after Seasons.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
There are indeed some groovin' new radio stations 🎶🎵
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
I’m going to answer just a few of the questions I have seen about Seasons. If your question isn’t answered don’t worry, we still plan to release a Q&A next week!
Q. Will there be new foods/recipes?
A. Yes! And some will make you hungry in real life. 🤤— Kate🌷☀️🍂☃️ (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
Q. Will the Penguin be returning in this EP?
A. Not this time around. We couldn’t get them to leave the Antarctic.— Kate🌷☀️🍂☃️ (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
Q. Can the sprinklers be used to water gardens?
A. Yup! And guess what? The rain will also water your garden as well!— Kate🌷☀️🍂☃️ (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
Q. Will there be a new collection?
A. Not this time around.Want to know something sad? I personally have never completed any of the current collections. I get close but never finish. *Embarrassed*
— Kate🌷☀️🍂☃️ (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
Sorry. One of the trade offs we had to make. We'll try to create more soon!
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 25, 2018
Q. Will my Sims get to suffer allergies like us mere humans?
A. No. And we are incredibly jealous that they are allergy free.— Kate🌷☀️🍂☃️ (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
And our final question for today.
Q. Will there be new harvestables?
A. Yesiree— Kate🌷☀️🍂☃️ (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
I can't talk about snow right now, but you'll be able to change season length in options. When you start a new game or load up an existing non-Seasons save, you'll be able to pick a season to start in. I know this isn't satisfactory, but we'll be able to talk more in the future.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
Sorry, no soccer set. But there are other fun spring / summer activities this time around, as well as all the new gardening updates
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
This time around we're not using discrete temperatures (F vs. C squabbles), but it can get cold enough for blizzards and hot enough for heatwaves. As for individual neighborhood weathers, that's something for simmers to find out once they start playing 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
You can pick a starting season, but the seasons will follow the same cycle (spring-summer-fall-winter-spring). However, the handy Weather Controller object might let you change that…🔧
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
@SimGuruKate @SimGuruGrant @SimGuruHouts WHAT IS THIS??!?! pic.twitter.com/tar3uFxLq6

We didn't make Mermaids in Seasons. https://t.co/x2pTOzHVRp
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We did not implement horoscopes. https://t.co/M497w0BtDO

@SimGuruGrant so when are we getting a livestream? I want to see Season in action, I can't contain my excitement.
— EvieGames (@bewitchedbrew) May 25, 2018
Early/Mid June most likely. https://t.co/lNvRt70v43
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We haven't done the lounge chair yet. We know it's on your list of things to make. 🙂 https://t.co/lrbf6hPyhY
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
Guys. We aren't done. I'm literally working with the team RIGHT NOW for YEARS out. Stop. Saying. We're. Done. We. Aren't. ❤️
I mean, just think of the stuff we haven't made that we know you want! https://t.co/h0WTdeibSf
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
@SimGuruGrant Any new moodlets with Seasons? (wish list: clothes affecting moodlets for weather related things)
— Sam Haine (@Machine1k) May 25, 2018
Right now we use Moodlets as a fairly standard feedback mechanism (using game design terminology), so yes. https://t.co/HCer7N6dqs
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
So, winter is obviously great. But, I was really delighted how much the team invested in Summer this time. The kiddie pool is ADORABLE. https://t.co/wFcmD9zAsl
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We have not added additional functionality to elevators. In talking to some wheelchair bound simmers the other day, it struck me that, if we can do an update for Sims in wheelchairs, enhancing elevators there makes so much sense. https://t.co/FQyunPOmoZ
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
I love occult sims/ life states in TS4 too. I love play with then, and i would want to know if there's a new life state/occult sim in Seasons EP
— Daniel Romanini (@daniel_willyan) May 26, 2018
Sorta. https://t.co/Z8pv150eMg
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
@SimGuruGrant @SimGuruKate there's a new life state/occult sim in Seasons EP? Please, say yes, please, say yes!
— Daniel Romanini (@daniel_willyan) May 26, 2018
Not in the way you guys think, which is why I said sorta. https://t.co/iw5SZpAbfw
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We did not update Plant Sims. https://t.co/QA00WBX7gs
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We have not made picnic baskets yet. https://t.co/FRqr6UR33s
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
Does seasons include online dating?
— Harleyquinn (@HarleyQuinn737) May 26, 2018
No, but I've wanted this feature since City Living. https://t.co/AheoKFKAZ2

UPDATE: 5/24/2018 – PC 1.43.14.1020 / Mac 1.43.14.1220
Hello Simmers!
SimGuruGnome is away on a top secret assignment, so writing these notes has fallen to me. I beg your forgiveness in my subpar writing style, and hope you’ll bear with me.
General Issues
- Let’s start at the top…of your head! We made a snappy bowler hat that was previously only for female Sims now unisex. So, either gender can look silly.
- We did a lot of work to improve situations where a lot of Sims enter a crowded space caused Sims to stand on furniture. Sims will no longer stand atop picnic tables like film nerds recreating the famous scene from Dead Poets Society.
- The Tragic Clown will now always actually dress like the Tragic Clown. What was a tragedy of fashion is now just a tragedy of clownness.
- We’ve made MySims trophies less rare.
- We fixed a game freeze that occurred when trying to place stairs next to a room with half-walls.
- This one’s a little complicated, so stick with me. If your Sim had a baby with a Sim who didn’t live in the house, then you aged up the baby to a toddler while this Sim was visiting, they couldn’t leave. Well, now they can leave! Woohoo! Wait, Woohoo is what got us in trouble in the first place.
- If you set the table on the Round Selvadoradian Dining table or Dinner’s On! By Crockery Kitchen table, you can now clean the dishes. Don’t think you’re getting out of chores so easily.
- And other fixes and improvements.
Laundry Day
- We rinsed, washed, and scrubbed many of the Laundry Moodlets causing your Sims issues, including Sims will only play positive animations for positive Moodlets and they’ll play the animations less frequently.
City Living
- You can now sing karaoke duets with members of your group! This will make an epic night even more epic, but be sure to read the room and not sing a downer of a song.
Get To Work
- Pastries are once again available for purchase from the Corporate Fridge Raider Revenue Generating Cooler. We’re not monsters.
Finally, Jasmine is back with another boost! Give her a call on your phone to gain powerful Moodlets to help your Sims build their Culinary, Gardening, Photography, or Painting Skills. She can also help with some of your Sim’s Needs so they can get out doors for longer.
Enjoy!

More scientific Sims can become a botanist, where they’ll analyze plants, write scientific papers and gain notoriety to earn grants. Advance your Sim’s budding talents to unlock fresh skills, new outfits and handy objects.
If you’ve not seen the recent Sims 4 news then you won’t know that it’s highly likely that The Sims 4 Seasons will soon be announced, in the case it doesn’t it’s still one of the most popular packs for each iteration of the game so rest easy knowing it will come. Anyway I thought it would be fun to look at some of the main features that would be great to have added to this pack.
With the launch of City Living we got the addition of festivals that are hosted around the world of San Myshuno, the Love Festival, Spice Festival, Humour and Hijinks Festival, Geekcon Festival and of course the Flea Market. It seems like a missed opportunity if the seasonal festivals from The Sims 3 don’t make a return in the new world we will hopefully get. The Sims 2 Seasons was a fantastic addition to the game but when you compare it to The Sims 3 version it feels as bit lacklustre due to the fact there aren’t any festivals.

This is one of the most requested features at the moment, so far in The Sims 4 we’re unable to swim in any bodies of water that aren’t swimming pools, I believe that the seasons expansion pack would be the perfect opportunity to add this feature in, and I’m sure it would make a lot of people very happy. Although this was a feature that came with The Sims 3: Seasons it did not come with The Sims 2 version, it came with Bon Voyage, so it’s unclear if this will be a feature.
It seems pretty obvious by the teaser we got on Twitter that holidays will play a big part in the pack, it featured a pumpkin scarecrow, to me this obviously screams Halloween, or an event similar to halloween like the Spooky Day which featured in The Sims 3. I think it would be great to add these back in as they add a new dimension to gameplay.
New LifestateOkay I know we’ve technically already got PlantSims within the game, but they feel incredibly hallow and pointless at the moment, it would be great if they either made them a hell of a lot better (Similar to The Sims 2) or added a completely new life state in the game. I’m unsure of whether this will happen as it doesn’t seem like the development team seem keen to add in life states to expansion packs, with the exception of Get to Work none of the packs have had them added, but this could still happen.
Hopefully this new pack will add a world to the growing collection, it would be great to see something a bit different to what we’ve already got. So far every pack for The Sims 4 has added a new world so I’m hoping that this continues, with The Sims 3 the development team decided not to add a world due to the huge task it took to create weather in the game. Let’s hope this isn’t the case again.

This is just a small feature I’d love to see return, as a throwback to The Sims 1 it would be great to add a half pipe for sims to show off their tricks, seeing as it did come with The Sims 3: Seasons it seems quite likely to be added, but then again we’ve seen features cut in The Sims 4 packs so who knows.
Of course it’s all speculation until the pack is announced but it will be great if it is true. In any case these are the features we’d like to see added to the game, if you have any others you’d like to see then please leave it in the comment section.
