SimGurus have already started answering important questions on Twitter about The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack as well as started revealing some interesting information about the pack.
Down below you can see all the tweets shared by the gurus. We’ll make sure to update the post as new tweets surface!
I’m super excited for this expansion. It’s been a big fan request for a while now! Dave and Lak (prod/design leads) did a really great job driving the team to make something special. And, if this isn’t the pack you wanted? We have years of more content/stories planned.

Also, this is somewhat why we didn’t do the quarterly teasers. We had two expansions planned, they’re hard to tease. So, sorry for changing things up, but hopefully it makes more sense now. (And, things will probably change again next year!)

This pack does NOT add cars. https://t.co/tJHhCwc5l9

You are not receiving cars this year. Please no semantic arguments here. https://t.co/WrgRtcr428

There is no way this expansion would fit in a game pack. https://t.co/jCWZtOohiP

We did a lot of work researching the pros and cons of past celebrity implementations. I think the team did a great job for TS4. https://t.co/8jMNGeNCfm

Every expansion we’ve released for TS4 is paired with multiple videos, Twitch streams, and blogs, so… https://t.co/vv2LkZqShK

We haven’t made them yet. https://t.co/nT8DxFNIMy

For this pack we focused on allowing Sims to get famous from careers currently available across multiple packs. We have also taken a brand new approach on an active acting career, allowing you to be more involved in your Sims’ success (or failure) as an actor.

Want to be a famous chef? Now you can! Famous painter? Yup, you can do that too.

Some more tea for you all! Children can be some degree of famous, yes. Also we have a fun little Drama Club that kids and teens will be able to join. However, no professional child actors (working with their stage parents would have been nightmares).

Kids & up.

I am seeing some questions based on today’s blog about Fame and wanted to quickly clarify. Sims outside of Del Sol Valley will be able to get famous. However there will be premade Sims living in Del Sol Valley who are already famous as well as some famous Sims as walkbys.

Nah, this is us trying to present it as a full story with all the features combined. https://t.co/mtIvvMTTAp

“They said you can gain celebrity status by performing at open mic night or by performing music, but what about dance off, busking, karaoke, djing, selling art, etc.?” Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

For a player who also owns Jungle Adventure… giving archaeology lectures, identifying artifacts, and writing archaeology books can help a Sim become a famous archaeologist, yes.
— Graham Nardone (@SimGuruGraham) October 11, 2018
Many of them, not all of them. Some just don't do anything that logically made sense in contributing towards a Sim's fame.

Considering that cars was shipped free in the past, I think the gurus would’ve gotten a lot of heat for making them a paid item instead of released as an update (then certain ones as paid content in the future or for previously purchased packs). With the above tweet it appears cars will eventually come to the car and probably function similar to TS2 since we don’t have to rely on transportation in the game to change lots.
