I’ll say this: that wrecked plane isn’t just background art.

Nearly any time we don’t include world objects in the build catalog, it’s because they’re built to different requirements than on-lot stuff. We try to give you as many of them as possible and I think we’re slowly getting better at it. Definitely something we aim for! 🙂

I don’t want to spoil any of the mystery/story of StrangerVille, but I want to put your concerns to rest: the infected Sims will not spread to other worlds; it’s an event that’s contained within StrangerVille.

Sometimes weird, sometimes what you know and love. We have so much planned and in the works. https://t.co/1WFODGCXbq

Lots of people have been asking, so here you go:
StrangerVille is not a vacation world. Your Sims can live there and immerse themselves in the strangeness.
Also, there are ways to opt-out of the strange stuff going on in case you want it to be more of a “normal” place to live.

More will be revealed soon. 🙂

I don’t think we do pre-orders on Game Packs. It’ll be available for digital download on Feb 26th.
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 20, 2019
No. We want you to engage with the mystery/story at your own pace.
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 20, 2019
In fact, I highly recommend moving in to get the full experience. Don’t go crazy with what you imagine this might be, but there are some cool details that you’ll get if you actually live there.

Finally, I’ve seen a few folks ask about a gameplay trailer and a livestream. There will be a gameplay trailer that drops on launch day (the 26th). We will not be doing a normal deep dive livestream but will be doing a short intro to the pack on Monday the 25th at 11 AM PT.

There won’t be a deep dive livestream.

A couple questions I’ve been seeing about StrangerVille and want to clarify.
– The world is fully residential, it is not a destination/vacation world
– The world has 11 lots which you can buid on and one secret lot
– The Military Career is a fully playable career like Gardening— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
Only with the pack.
— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
Not a secret world, a secret lot.
— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
Our blogs always have a bit more limited information which is why we usually do streams to share a lot of this. But since the timeline is shorter on this announce to launch, and it’s a story driven pack we want to be careful about spoilers!
— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
StrangerVille has 11 editable lots spread over 2 neighborhoods. Also 1 special lot/neighborhood that is not editable (we’re doing some fun story-specific stuff there).
Vampires has 5 lots, so we’re pretty excited to do a bigger world in a game pack like this. https://t.co/njfZEnyYpa

When you start a new game, the story is very minimal until you decide to start digging into it. If you want to completely remove all story elements from your world, you’ll have to play through the story first. We don’t want to force the story/weirdness on you.
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 21, 2019
Laptops come with the pack.
— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
There are some great new families in this pack, but perhaps we can look at bringing them back in the Gallery!
— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
The Build/Buy items in this pack are quite awesome, I assure you.
— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
Yes.
— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
A couple of other things I want to clarify regarding StrangerVille…
– Laptops come with the pack
– Cars are NOT being added in the pack or the patch— ҜΔŦ€ ØŁΜŞŦ€ΔĐ (@SimGuruKate) February 21, 2019
There are secrets IN the lot, but yeah, it’s on the world map and is more about being a special experience than about being a hidden area.
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 21, 2019
If you never engage with the story, it has a very small presence in the world and I don’t think it’ll bother people. If you move into StrangerVille and just want to live a normal life, you can do that without us trying to force you into the story or remind you that it’s there.
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 21, 2019
When we were making this pack, we were definitely aware that not everyone would want a super weird, creeped-out world. It’s very important to us that you are able to play the game the way you want to and I hope we’ve done a good job of that here. I think you’ll be pleased. 🙂
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 21, 2019
Yes
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 21, 2019
The story is contained fully within StrangerVille. Finding out how to start the story is part of the fun, so I won’t spoil it (don’t worry, it’s not hard).
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 21, 2019
I misspoke. It’s not a secret lot, but rather a special lot with LOTS of secrets hidden there! https://t.co/dwoGKWCuvc
