Sims 4 Base Game Infant Cheats

Infant Personalities
Infants have their own Personality traits, which they can have only one of. Whenever you wish to change out their trait, you'll have to remove the old one with this cheat:
traits.remove_trait [trait]
And then you can use this cheat to add a new one:
traits.equip_trait [trait]
Here are all the infant traits alongside their codename you'll need to replace the [trait] part with:
| Infant Trait | Cheat |
|---|---|
| Cautious | trait_Infant_Cautious |
| Sensitive | trait_Infant_Sensitive |
| Calm | trait_Infant_Calm |
| Intense | trait_Infant_Intense |
| Wiggly | trait_Infant_Wiggly |
| Sunny | trait_Infant_Sunny |
Reward Traits
After an infant grows up, they'll earn a reward trait based on how well they were taken care of. This will affect how well they'll build relationships with other Sims. These traits (and cheats to add them) go as follows:
| Reward Trait | Cheat |
|---|---|
| Top-Notch Infant | traits.equip_trait trait_Reward_Infant_TopNotch |
| Happy Infant | traits.equip_trait trait_Reward_Infant_Happy |
| Unhappy Infant | traits.equip_trait trait_Reward_Infant_Unhappy |
Is your Sim still an infant though? They can earn one of these traits once they grow up depending how well parents take care of them. However, to take control of which trait they earn, you can modify this stat with this cheat:
stats.set_stat commodity_Infant_Attachment [number]
Here are the number ranges and which trait they'll give upon age up:
| Trait | Range |
|---|---|
| Top Notch Infant | 66 - 100 |
| Happy Infant | 34 - 65 |
| No Trait | -65 - 33 |
| Unhappy Infant | -100 - -66 |
The Sims 4 Growing Together Cheats
Faster Infant Milestones!
With Growing Together comes more infant gameplay and with it more The Sims 4 Infant Cheats!
Infants have their own milestone, with each one making them less helpless and more mobile. There are three categories of milestones: Fine Motor, Gross Motor, and Social.
There are cheats that help to attain those milestones faster. However, there are two things to remember:
- The milestones here are given from first to last. The order is important as an infant who has yet to learn to grab cannot learn to clap yet, even when cheats are used. You must go in order. Check out the Milestones in Sim Info Panel to see what they already have and what's next.
- Once the cheat is used, the milestone isn't unlocked immediately. You'll have to wait some time first.

The Sims 4 Growing Together Cheats: Quirks
Infants and toddlers randomly get 3 quirks assigned to them, which all start out hidden. Fortunately, with cheats, you can customize them to your own liking.
The simple method is given after entering testingcheats on, available even in unmodded games! Simply shift-click on your infant/toddler, go to Pack Cheats.../Expansion Packs.../EP13 - Growing Together... and there's an option to modify Infant/Toddler Quirks! You can add and remove quirks. Not only you can add more than 3 quirks, but also added quirks begin undiscovered.
Alternatively, you can add a discovered quirk with cheats. These will appear in the traits panel. The quirk cheat codes go as follows:

Change Child Confidence Level
Children have a new thing to keep in mind: Childhood Confidence. You'll see an indicator trait in their traits panel which tells you their current Confidence Level. Changing out this trait will do nothing, so if you want to change it with cheats, you'll have to use this cheat:
stats.set_stat commodity_Child_Confidence [number]
Here's what number ranges correspond to each Confidence level:
| Level | Number Range |
|---|---|
| High Confidence | 25 - 100 |
| Neutral Confidence | -24 - 24 |
| Low Confidence | -100 - -25 |
Low and High Confidence will result in a Self-Esteem trait once a child ages up into a teen. These can be added with traits.equip_trait and removed with traits.remove_trait cheats.
| Trait | Codename |
|---|---|
| High Self-Esteem | trait_reward_Child_Confidence_HighSelfEsteem |
| Low Self-Esteem | trait_reward_Child_Confidence_LowSelfEsteem |
Self Discovery
Self Discovery is a new system which rewards young adult or older Sims with a new trait (or trait replacements) based on their activities.
More (or Less) Moments!
Sims can have up to 3 Self Discovery moments in their lifetime. Only those you've accepted count towards it. However, there are methods to change the count.
If you want to reset the Self Discovery counter, you must first use this cheat:
stats.set_stat statistic_SelfDiscovery_Max 0
And afterwards, just in case, remove a hidden trait with this cheat:
traits.remove_trait trait_Hidden_SelfDiscoveryMax
Alternatively, if you wish to turn off Self Discovery for that Sim in particular, you can instead use this cheat:
traits.equip_trait trait_Hidden_SelfDiscoveryMax
Trigger a Self Discovery
Want to trigger a Self Discovery moment? Well, you can use one of these cheats to trigger one. There is a chance that a trait won't be suggested, so you may have to enter the cheat multiple times.
Before we get to the cheats, you'll have to know how these work. While you can read about these here, the short of it is the following:
- No trait in the same category.
- No more than one trait from the opposite category.
- This one trait will be replaced once a moment occurs.
- No other trait conflicts.

Midlife Crises
Any adult Sim can have a Midlife Crisis during their adulthood. These can be caused by certain events or happen randomly when your Sim is in a bad mood. With this simple cheat, you can try to cause it to happen sooner:
stats.set_stat commodity_MidlifeCrisis_PreMidlife 0
Your Sim may then experience one if they are Angry, Sad, Tense, Uncomfortable, or Embarrassed (with the first three increasing the chance). If it does not happen, reenter the cheat when your Sim is in one of those emotions.
Your Sim should then be in the Early stage. If you wish to speed that up, there is also a cheat for that!
stats.set_stat commodity_MidlifeCrisis_Leadup 0
This will put your Sim into the Crisis stage, complete with a temporary aspiration for 7 days. If you want to resolve this, there is also a cheat for it! However, this time you'll have to look into the Aspiration Panel to see what your Sim is desiring first and then use one of these cheats:
| Desire | Cheat |
|---|---|
| Desire for Adventure | stats.set_stat commodity_MidlifeCrisis_Active_DesireforAdventure 0 |
| Desire to Create | stats.set_stat commodity_MidlifeCrisis_Active_DesiretoCreate 0 |
| Desire for Relationship | stats.set_stat commodity_MidlifeCrisis_Active_DesireforRelationship 0 |
| Desire for Success | stats.set_stat commodity_MidlifeCrisis_Active_DesireforSuccess 0 |
Alternatively, you can use cheats to complete aspirations. To use these cheats, make sure to use aspirations.complete_aspiration before each midlife crisis.
Additionally, All Cheats by Twisted Mexi is REQUIRED to use these cheats.
| Description | Cheat |
|---|---|
| Desire for Success | midlifeCrisis_Active_DesireforSuccess |
| Desire to Create | midlifeCrisis_Active_DesiretoCreate |
| Desire for Adventure | midlifeCrisis_Active_DesireforAdventure |
| Desire for Relationship | midlifeCrisis_Active_DesireforRelationship |
Finally, if you don't want your Sim to experience a Midlife Crisis, you can use this cheat to equip a hidden trait to prevent it:
traits.equip_trait trait_Hidden_MidlifeCrisis_HadACrisis
This is given to Sims who have had a crisis so they don't experience it again during their lifetime.
Put Your Sim In Lay-Off Risk
Being laid off from the job is a new feature in The Sims 4 Growing Together. If enabled, there's a really rare chance that your Sim will be put in a lay-off period, during which they may get laid off.
If you wish to put your Sim in lay-off period (without notifications of it), you can use this cheat:
traits.equip_trait trait_JobLoss_InLayoffPeriod
Now your Sim has a chance to be laid off after their next shift. The chance is increased when taking it easy while working. But no worries, after being laid off, your Sim may be offered a new job and perhaps even a free pizza. They can't return to their old job for a while though.
(Note. If lay-offs are turned off in Pack Settings, your Sim will always keep their job after the next shift.)
The Sims 4 Growing Together Cheats: Family Dynamics
Before the Family Dynamic Name, add relationship.add_bit, then Sim ID #1 and Sim ID #2. For example:
relationship.add_bit 1093830071664902160 1093830071664902161 familyTrope_Jokesters
To get a Sim's ID, you can use this cheat: get_sim_id_by_name (First Name) (Last Name)
Of course, you might not want to retype the Sim IDs. So TwistedMexi has a mod that will allow you to copy and paste the Sim ID. Also, you can get Better Cheat Console here.
