Same here… I still have the disc on my shelf and wouldn’t want to have to repurchase it considering how they love to throw the Sims 4 packs for free when many of us bought it on the release date.

Why would anyone be expecting anything new with a re release of a game that’s decades old? At most maybe improved graphics but even then that’s not often a thing with re released material. Plus it’s sounding like it’s free or at a much lower cost that it sold for players back in the day. Seems like a good deal all things considered. Sims 2 for me was probably the best though it did have its share of … quirks too.

I mean probably not because they’re just rereleases. In my opinion I don’t see the need to add anything new to the game since it’s an older game from the golden era. I just hope that they at least upgraded the graphics to match gaming PCs of this era.

So excited for pc players. Wondering if it will be available also on Steam? My eldest son when he was a kid loved TheSims. My favourite is Sims2 so it’s fantastic news!

Do we know what version of windows it’s compatible with yet? I have windows 11 and can’t play sims 3 because it only works on windows 10 and before.

I didn’t want to believe it at first. Because this is just too good to be true with EA. But with all this evidence piling up, I can say I’m home. This year might just be the best year in gaming for me in well over a decade. I can finally play The Sims 1 with all expansions and on a modern PC. This will revive the modding scene for both TS1 and TS2 as well.
