A new official Survey has been published for The Sims Labs looking for improvements to The Sims 4 Townies!
The Sims Team has published a new official survey last night, doing a deeper research on select The Sims 4 Townies and which one players like the most. Chosen favorite townies then get passed onto a round of describing which type of new content and stories you’d like to see for your set townies.

Including Princess Cordelia too! Her lore is expected to grow with the upcoming release of The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Expansion.

Such a weird selection. Literal infants and trailer-exclusive sims made it to this list, but no Penny Pizzaz, Venessa Jeong, Nalani Mahi’ai,… Also the list is weirdly biased towards High School Years and Growing Together, as if someone is going to vote for the Michaelsons.
i think adding lore and mysteries to the sims 4 would bring some of the mystique of the old games back, BUT.
sadly the sims 4 has the tendency of introducing mysteries, but also hand us all the cards to solve them; which makes the discussion surrounding those mysteries short-lived and boring.
why do people still talk about the bella goth disappearance? why do you have people theorizing about every single deceased sim in various sims 3 towns? because they left these spaces for us to fill with our imagination, and not have a “hidden” series of activities we can do that tell us everything that happens. we need to be left to wonder more.
I’d be up for another story based pack like Strangerville. But it would have to have actual replay value. Once you’ve solved the Strangerville mystery there’s nothing else to do.
i don’t think it’ll be for Sims 4, they’re probably researching it for Project X
Tbh I don’t care about most of the Sims 4 townies, outside of the returnees from other packs and a few newcomers. They all lack interesting hooks, drama or lore to get me invested. For most of them, what you see is what you get, except when they also have townie gossip that gives you some extremely basic, uninteresting element of their backstory.
Like who really remembers Noah Kane, the lunchlady’s son who has a crush on Sidney Price? Celeste is one of the first openly trans sims, but what else can you say about her? Because her gossip is stuff like, “I like raising my kids,” and “San Sequoia is nice :)” and “I’m good friends with my neighbor, though the devs forgot to include that relationship in the game.”

The only reason why I chose Bella, Judith and Clement is because I did the 100 baby challenge and they were my victims bc it’s fun, my sim Geoffrey idiot, he is the GOAT when it comes to kids, he is standing at 98 currently sadly in my game Bella and Judith are dead now, but their children still live on lol, also what about Octavia from get famous? I think she’d goated because of her having kids with Geoffrey shiii my sim Geoffrey has more lore to him than any sim in history, shout out my boi Geoffrey ✊

I use neighborhood stories on so those who have moved into the world’s I’ve used a lot, others not so much but if they had would be equally as likable.
The fact that Mayor Whiskers is an option.
