The Sims Team is doing a fully dedicated livestream for one of the biggest features coming with The Sims 4’s upcoming update – Terrain Manipulation!
This livestream is going to last for approximately an hour and will be hosted by SimGuruRomeo, SimGuruGhost and SimGuruKate. It starts today at 11AM PT / 8PM CET / 7PM BT.
We know that time zones are very tricky and as this livestream is important we’ve added a countdown down below that counts exactly to the moment when The Sims Team goes live with Terrain Manipulation showcase.
We’re also going to report on every important detail that’s shown, mentioned and/or teased during the stream so stay tuned on our website!

Why We Love It: We love Ciara’s take on a supernatural story! She’s taken the time to build sets for her scenes, like a school, which give her pictures a more realistic touch. We’re also digging the premise of a Sim moving somewhere far away and having to adjust to a new lifestyle and make new friends. With Mia’s powers, that might prove to be more difficult than anticipated. It sounds like an exciting read! Keep those updates coming, Ciara, and great job!

Why We Love It: The Sims is a life simulation so naturally, weddings and babies are as big a deal in the game as they are in real life. We love that Madison went all out for her Sims on their special day. Her use of creative angles, custom poses and attention to detail while decorating all come together to create the picture-perfect wedding that these Sims will certainly remember for a lifetime.

Why We Love It: It is truly the end of an era. Those of you who’ve been following the story of Arnav the Mediocre Butler either in our Facebook group or here in our Weekly Column will be familiar with poor, hopeless Arnav whose skill as a butler left much to be desired but who had a heart of gold. We would have loved to continue reading The Adventures of the Mediocre Butler forever but all things must come to an end, so we’ll just wave goodbye and wipe a tear from our eye. Thank you for all the memories, Arnav. We won’t forget you.

Why We Love It: Lisa is well-known in our Facebook group for her stunning screenshots and she’s back at it again, wowing us all with her incredible entries for a Halloween screenshot challenge happening on Tumblr throughout the month of October. Our jaws hit the floor whenever Lisa shares some of her work with us, so if you’re as dazzled by Lisa’s camera and editing skills as we are, check out her simblr to get amazing content like this regularly.

The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack Reveal Trailer covered so many different frames and angles and tried to fit all that in a 1-minute trailer which is completely understandable why you might’ve missed a few details that were shown in it.
We broke down some of the more interesting details such as world props, objects, interactions and more that you may have missed:

The Sims Team has officially announced the Sims Camp 2018 event that’s happening this October in London!

Simmers, we’d like to announce that Sims Camp is happening for a very special group of Game Changers, Influencers, and community members. So, what’s Sims Camp? Well, it’s a time for content creators across the globe to connect, have fun, and celebrate The Sims! This year’s event will be held in London and features a host of events, experiences, and opportunities to make our community stronger.
And, why are we sharing this with you? Because you’ll be able to experience it through the eyes of your favorite creators! Plus, we hope you’ll follow along on The Sims’ social channels for up-to-the-minute updates. In no particular order, here’s who will be there to capture and create content just for you:

Following the same pattern of Cats & Dogs and Seasons – The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack is also getting a special bundle with The Sims 4 Base Game.
The Sims 4 Base Game + Get Famous Bundle lets you get introduced to The Sims 4 along with Get Famous while paying 20$ less as this Bundle is 60$ and purchasing these 2 games seperately would cost you 80$.
The bundle is set to release on the same day as The Sims 4 Get Famous which is November 16th.
You’ve probably heard of Baby Ariel – a 17 year old American singer and social media influencer who’s best known for her role in saving the pop music industry with her Musical.ly presence and hit singles such as “Aww” and “Gucci On My Body”.
If you’re not familiar with this pop sensation then you better learn all about her from videos such as “Perf”…

Anywho, Baby Ariel has been confirmed to perform this Thursday on NBC’s TODAY Show where she’ll get to sing one of her songs in Simlish and possibly even showcase some new Get Famous Footage.
Well, apparently, that’s not all. After finally managing to read TheSims.com’s announcement blog for Get Famous I stumbled upon a quote that had me s h o o k:

YUP – This pop music savior is going to be featured in The Sims 4 Get Famous’ brand new world called Del Sol Valley as an NPC that performs music in public areas around the neighborhoods.
Honestly though what did we do to deserve such a talented presence in our Sims 4 universe??
The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack doesn’t just focus on the new careers which are Actor and Influencer. Many were left wondering what does this pack contribute to the musical side and does it add anything new to already existing careers.
SimGuruKate went on Twitter to confirm the fact that The Sims 4 Get Famous is going to influence every single career we have in The Sims 4 – including the ones we’ve got through packs. This means that if you want to become a famous musician you can through the Entertainer > Musician branch career that already exists with The Sims 4 Base Game.
For this pack we focused on allowing Sims to get famous from careers currently available across multiple packs. We have also taken a brand new approach on an active acting career, allowing you to be more involved in your Sims’ success (or failure) as an actor.
SimGurus have already started answering important questions on Twitter about The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack as well as started revealing some interesting information about the pack.

Some more tea for you all! Children can be some degree of famous, yes. Also we have a fun little Drama Club that kids and teens will be able to join. However, no professional child actors (working with their stage parents would have been nightmares).
I am seeing some questions based on today’s blog about Fame and wanted to quickly clarify. Sims outside of Del Sol Valley will be able to get famous. However there will be premade Sims living in Del Sol Valley who are already famous as well as some famous Sims as walkbys.
“They said you can gain celebrity status by performing at open mic night or by performing music, but what about dance off, busking, karaoke, djing, selling art, etc.?” Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
For a player who also owns Jungle Adventure… giving archaeology lectures, identifying artifacts, and writing archaeology books can help a Sim become a famous archaeologist, yes.
The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack’s announcement trailer has left many wondering about one particular frame. The photo that you can see down below shows a limo standing in front of a house which got many thinking (including myself) if this means that vechiles will be making a comeback with this Expansion Pack.
SimGuruGrant was quick to confirm that cars won’t be introduced with this expansion pack.

Lifestyles of the Rich and Not Yet Famous
One of the most exciting parts of this expansion pack is the new world! Say “hello” to Del Sol Valley, which is home to A-listers, up-and-comers, and everyone in between. The residential area is split into two parts: Mirage Park in the flatlands with modestly-priced homes, and The Pinnacles, high in the hills and fit for the rich and famous. Plus, your Sims can explore the park, nightclub, and other awesome venues. But if you think any and every Sim can get into these places, think again. Sims might not be on the list for some destinations. But there’s always a chance they can convince a bouncer to let them in. If not, cheer up. The more famous they become, the easier it will be to slide into the most exclusive parties.
And . . . Acting!
Watch out Starlight Boulevard, because your Sim was born for the red carpet. The shiny, sparkling acting career has arrived, and a rags-to-riches story is bound to happen. First, your Sim will join the active acting career. From there, it can be a whirlwind of fun and fame, as long as your Sim keeps up with all the demands. Practicing acting, staying up on social media, and joining a talent agency are all part of the journey to stardom. And, the bigger your bank account gets, the more awesomeness you can unlock, like flaunting your wealth with a money “phone.” I mean, your Sim earned it, right?
The best part is you can join your Sim on their acting journey. Follow your Sims to acting gigs on the Plumbob Pictures studio lot where they’ll be transformed in the hair and makeup chair, rub elbows with the director, and act in an award-winning performance. Will your Sim risk going big during a scene, or play it safe to get the job done? More on that soon, Simmers!

I am super excited to announce that Sims Community has been invited by Electronic Arts to attend a very special event called Sims Camp happening this October in London!
Next week I’m going to have an exclusive hands-on experience with The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack as well as a hands-on experience with The Sims Mobile’s next major event which is planned for release this month.
Sims Camp will last for 2 days – on October 16th and October 17th. During this period I’ll be collecting new footage for the upcoming Sims content, bring all the information I possibly can and who knows – there may even be a few special livestreams on our YouTube channel directly from London 😉
After the event ends we’ll have a few days of embargo time so that everyone who attends the Sims Camp event will have enough time to prepare their footage and content.
