The leaks just keep on giving!
With the accidental reveal that The Sims 4 Get Famous is the name of the next Expansion Pack we loaded up Origin.com, loaded a random Expansion Pack store and changed the pack name to get-famous.
The website loaded up but quickly got stopped by a 404 page. However, upon further inspection I noticed that the browser was still able to fully load up the new images.

TheSims.com has accidentally leaked today’s big reveal with some very important information (and render!)
They’ve revealed that the next Expansion Pack is called The Sims 4 Get Famous and that it’s coming out on November 16th.
People have already started comparing the next Expansion Pack with Road To Fame Mod Pack
We still have approximately 20 hours to go until The Sims Team fully announced The Sims 4’s sixth Expansion Pack and the community has already turned on their speculation mode.
The teaser that The Sims Team has posted shows a Sim posing for the paparazzis behind her. They also included some emojis with their tweet suggesting that the pack is all about that celebrity, fame life.

However, it seems that not everyone is a fan of what’s about to come for The Sims 4. While some players got deeply disappointed that the next pack isn’t University (and we have no idea where did they find a single clue that it’s gonna be the next EP) – some started comparing the yet-to-be-fully-announced Expansion Pack to Road To Fame 3rd party Mod Pack developed by Sacrifical.
This Mod Pack allows you to become a celebrity by performing various interactions and events, earn money through numerous opportunities and get stalked by crazy fans and paparazzis. It gets regular updates and is definitely one of the biggest mods in the community.
The upcoming Expansion Pack’s short .gif teaser shows a glimpse of what the pack is all about, however nothing is fully known until the full announcement tomorrow.
Still, that didn’t stop the community from comparing the upcoming pack to the Mod Pack, with comments such as:
Sacrifical wanted to clear the air with a few tweets on his profile, saying that he himself got inspiration for his Mod from The Sims 1 Superstar and The Urbz: Sims in The City games. He also wanted to clarify that this could only give more opportunities for his Mod Pack to grow:

The Sims 4 is getting its Sixth Expansion Pack this November
Trustworthy Nordic Gaming Retail Website called Pan Vision has just listed The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 6 on their website, with a release date set for November 6th, 2018.
In case you don’t know this website also has listed The Sims 4 Seasons prematurely – just hours before its official full announcement!
The website hasn’t mentioned any specific details about this Expansion Pack other than the release date, but considering that The Sims Team has already released a teaser for a Celebrity Themed Pack we can assume that the 6th Expansion Pack is all about celebrities.
Although this isn’t a fully confirmed release date the story checks out considering that SimGuruModSquad has confirmed that The Sims 4 will be getting a brand new update with some code-changing novelties.

Community Spotlight: IllogicalSimmer
A Simmer who has caught my eye in the community lately is none other than IllogicalSimmer. You may or may not remember that IllogicalSimmer actually featured in one of our recent Gallery Spotlights for Affordable and Luxury Homes for his build Timber Eco.
Now I’ve followed IllogicalSimmer on Twitter for a little while now and he is always sharing amazing content from a variety of custom content, builds and Sims. You can find more of his creations on his Tumblr page by clicking here.
That’s not all though! IllogicalSimmer also has a Youtube channel where he shares a variety of different content including renovations, speed builds, series and more! Why not take a look at the recent Caravan Home speedbuild.

MODDERS BEWARE: The Sims 4 is getting a Python Upgrade
SimGuruModSquad has published a forum post on The Sims Official Forums saying that The Sims 4’s upcoming update is going to change and upgrade the current version of Python – a programming language and software which is used to help develop the game itself.
The upgrade will change the .pyo extension which is going to be replaced by .pyc. This change is going to affect ALL script mods meaning that since November they’ll completely stop functioning.
SimGuruModSquad wanted to make sure that all modders are ready and aware of this change so they can prepare and upgrade their script mods in time.
Hi everyone,
I want to give you a heads up that in an upcoming release, we will be upgrading the version of Python used by the game. We currently use Python 3.3.5 and will be moving to Python 3.7.0. Once this change is released, all compiled script mods will completely stop working. Note that in this new version of Python, the .pyo extension is replaced by .pyc, see https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0488/
We know this will have impact on your script mod authoring pipelines so wanted to provide notice in advance so you can be ready for the change when it arrives. To assist, I’ve attached the Python scripts from the currently released version of the game (v1.46.18) recompiled under Python 3.7.0.
If all goes as planned, this change should arrive in November.
Note that there will not be any fundamental changes to tuning data, other than the typical types of changes we make to tuning for patches.

A New Pack for The Sims 4 to be announced this Month (Speculation)
All the pieces have come together now: Voiceover Artists hyping up the upcoming CNN Special, the Free Content Update being revealed yesterday and the mysterious hype for a Special Announcement happening next week – it all makes sense.
Now, before I dive in, note that everything mentioned below is pure speculation and doesn’t include the official statement that a new pack announcement is happening this month. However, there’s more than enough evidence that we’ve gotten that prove the fact that a whole new pack for The Sims 4 is on our way and will be announced this month.
Voiceover Artists and the CNN Special
Scott Whyte and Krizia Bajos, one of the voice actors working on The Sims 4 have released multiple clips on their Instagram where they’re giving completely new voiceovers that haven’t been heard in The Sims 4 before. You can hear all the new Simlish content that they’ve posted in the clip below:
Now, they’ve also mentioned the fact that there’s going to be a CNN Special that’s all about Simlish voice acting. Scott Whyte has confirmed to us that this is all going to be a part of CNN’s Great Big Story show. Although he didn’t confirm the exact date the episode about Simlish voice acting airs he did say that it’s airing this October.

The Free Content Update Reveal
Yesterday The Sims Team has shown major content that’s been supposed to arrive in October but got delayed due to the content needing more polishing. What we’ve seen yesterday are the Terrain Tools and a Stylist Influencer Career which frankly doesn’t seem to require that much voice acting (or any at all).
Scott has been referring that what he’s showing is for a “New Game Patch” but it seems he’s actually referring to a new Sims 4 Pack. With the CNN Special airing in October it could very likely be that the special has been scheduled to air after the next Sims 4 Pack announcement. Considering that CNN’s camera crew were capturing not only the voice actors but the screen showing the new animations it could very likely be that, due to the pack being under embargo, CNN is waiting for The Sims Team’s approval to air the show after the pack announcement and promote the upcoming pack along the way.
There’s another very interesting thing and that’s the fact that voiceovers for The Sims 4 Packs usually happen 2-3 months before the pack’s announcement. You can see the example of Krizia Bajos giving voiceovers on her Instagram Story Highlight (The Life of a Sim) for what seems to be The Sims 4 Seasons during March and April.
Another example is The Sims 4 Vampires Soundtrack being recorded 3 months before the game’s release.
Special Announcement Next Week
During yesterday’s stream SimGuruKate has suggested that we should book a time on our calendar for a special announcement that’s happening next week across The Sims’ social channels. If there’s anything that The Sims Team has done wide across all social channels (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc.) it’s a new pack announcement.
New Paid Content Coming This Year
The last statement that proves that a new pack is being announced this month is SimGuruKate’s tweet which mentioned the fact that there’s going to be new paid content coming out this calendar year. If we look closer at all the previous times between the pack’s announcement and the pack’s actual release, there’s usually a period of 1 to 2 months for The Sims 4 Expansion Packs and a period of 2 to 4 weeks for The Sims 4 Game Packs.

The Sims Mobile: Major Live Event Coming This Month
Brandon Gill, a Creative Director for The Sims Mobile has teased during the Maxis Monthly Livestream that there’s going to be a new Major Event coming up later this month in The Sims Mobile. He didn’t say what this major event is all about but he did phrase a few times that October is the spookiest month and that we can expect the spookiest of events.
