2 New tv channels: Political and cultural

Grungy Objects: Objects with dirt and grunge textured on

Video Game Machine: We have 4 games:

The Spice Hound trait (From Mastering Spicy Food) Spice Hounds never find any food too Spicy, and feel Happy for hours after eating a Spicy Meal.

The Sims Blog: Get Thrifty with the Flea Market in The Sims 4 City Living

Via TheSims.com!

Festivals are one of our favorite new attractions in The Sims 4 City Living* Expansion Pack ( coming this November), because they send our diverse city of Sims to the streets to mix, mingle, learn new things, and make new friends!

ts4_778_ep03_fot3_lifts_09

The Flea Market is the perfect place to find a deal, especially when living in the expensive San Myshuno on a budget! The Flea Market may never have the same things for sale twice, so come early and come often to take advantage of these deals!

ts4_778_ep03_fot3_lifts_11

You can always toss in a good haggle to try and scratch a few more Simoleons off the price to really leave the Flea Market a winner. Or, trade and swap collectibles, such as the new snow globes with other collectible enthusiasts to find the one missing from your collection. Feeling crafty? Setup your own craft stall to sell paintings, fresh produced you’ve harvested, or whatever you wish to sell.

Not sure when it’s happening? Look for the signs located in the neighborhoods or the bulletin board in your apartment’s common area. See you at the Flea Market!

The Sims 4 City Living to come with Luxury Party’s Premium Object

You may have noticed in yesterday’s new City Living Blog & Trailer about Festivals that there’s a drink fountain from The Sims 4 Luxury Party Stuff Pack included in two of the festivals: Romance Festival and Humor & Hijinks Festival.

Just a few days ago, SimGuruGraham explained on Twitter that we won’t need to have The Sims 4 Luxury Party Stuff Pack installed in order to have this drink fountain in the game. However, he did confirm that we won’t be able to place them in build mode or overall use them outside festivals:

Still, I’m pretty sure that modders will be able to unlock this object just a few days after the launch of The Sims 4 City Living!

He also commented on the possibility of updating the Luxury Party drinking fountains with the City Living preset colors:

The Sims FreePlay: October 2016 Update Features Overview

0

There’s much more to The Sims FreePlay’s new October 2016 Update than you might think! Beside the return of the Halloween Event, there are a few new features, improvements and quests that yet have to happen…

The SimTown Market

Although not unlocked yet, the Movie Studio profession lot will soon offer a chance to win the Director’s Boom Camera! Although I’m not sure how will this event function, one thing is certain – you’ll need to have both Performers and Directors in your Neighborhood with all the Workstations unlocked and upgraded!

Watch Ads for Prizes Feature

A new opportunity to earn free simoleons, SimCash, Social Points and objects is here! If a Sim shown down below appears on any of your Home lots, that means you’ve been given an opportunity to get a certain item for free in exchange for watching a video advertisement!

freeplay_2016-10-18-16-12-36

To start watching an advertisement, press the play button or the watch button. As soon as you’re done watching an ad your prize will be revealed. Sometimes its an object that you can find in your inventory and sometimes its Simoleons, SimCash or Social Points!

You can watch an advertisement again and be given the same opportunity if there’s a button that says More. For example, I got to play 2 advertisements and the offer was over. Just a few minutes after, the Watch Ads for Prizes opportunity was shown again!

New Free CAS Clothing

There’s a new selection of free clothing in Create A Sim! Simply open up your wardrobe and check out what’s new!

Improved Quests Interface

The Quests Interface has got a minor face lift!

The Sims 4 Go to School Mod Pack Back in Development!

29

The enhanced version of The Sims 4 Go to School Mod Pack is back in development, with a variety of upgrades. Most* (*see below for details) of the features mentioned in the previous announcement will be included, but with improvements for a better experience.

gts-1

  • Normal classes have been reorganised into three goal categories: Question Goals, Activity Goals and Social Goals, with a main goal of attending class for two hours. Question and Activity goals are both available when the day starts, but Social goals will only appear after performing the “Call to Meal” interaction on food. After completing three Activity goals, the fourth goal will always be to Call to Meal or eat food. This helps create a more organised school day, in which the player starts by listening to a lecture and ask question, proceeds to perform activities, and then goes for a lunch break.
    • If something prevents the Caterer from cooking a meal (for example, the appliances end up breaking), the Sim can complete the fourth goal by eating from the snack machine. This won’t unlock Social goals, but it will allow the player to still reach gold rank in the case of emergency by continuing to complete Activity goals.
    • The first day of school still acts like a tutorial stage, same as always.
  • Physical Education has been renamed to Health and Fitness, to avoid the misconception that it functions like an actual PE class.
  • There is a new set of computer interactions under a “Study Skill Online” pie menu. These interactions are available not only for Activity goals at school, but can optionally be used by home and even by adult Sims. Child Sims who study adult skills (and haven’t unlocked said skills) will build the closest equivalent Child skill.
  • Aside from the above changes, the experience is overall smoother and better resembles the experience you get from official content.

Unfortunately, there are some features that may not be included right away:

  • I’m struggling to decide how to implement field trips. I’ve made so many improvements to the regular school day, that triggering a field trip actually feels like a downgrade. I have plans to make other career mods in the future, so I’m thinking of holding off field trips until there are lot types that are adapted for them, that way they’ll feel more immersive. The guest speaker events are still intact, however.
  • The Education career will likely be a normal, non-active career the first time around. It can take a long time to make an active career, especially as I have big plans for future active careers, so I think it will be better to start on a fresh mind. The NPCs that show up when attending (or visiting) school will still be drawn the career, whether it’s active or not.
  • As there’s now a prom mod, it’s no longer necessary to create a prom event from Go to School. There’s nothing massive I had planned that the mod doesn’t contain.

The new version of Go to School is still in development, so feel free to leave your suggestions.

I haven’t decided on an exact release date yet, but although the mod could be playable by the end of the month, I feel it would be best to wait until some time after City Living is released, when there’s less hype for official content. It also means you’ll have something to look forward to for when the initial City Living hype is gone.
