The full Build Mode Overview of The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack!
The Sims 4 Werewolves comes with 75 new Build/Buy objects and 4 new styled rooms. The overall theme of the pack’s Build/Buy catalogue is grungy industrial. Most of the items are old and damaged, showing signs of extreme neglect and general wear and tear. Players who enjoy creating or playing in apocalyptic, abandoned, or rags to riches builds will get a lot of enjoyment out of the Werewolves game pack catalogue.
Some particularly notable new items include a new baby bassinet and toddler bed, a loft bed that can have another bed slotted under it to create a bunk bed, new child and toddler toys, a small functional telescope, a rabbithole door that can be placed on any lot as a means of quick travel through Moonwood Mill’s underground tunnel system, a new garden gnome and mailbox, a new garden planter, new beat-up versions of the weights machine and punching bag, a designated collection shelf for the Moonwood Relic pieces that can be found around Moonwood Mill, an electric guitar, and a large RV shell that can be used either as a makeshift shelter or have the bar that comes with this pack slotted into it.
For build items, there are new metal board roof patterns with holes in them, and one has some panels missing to create a skylight effect. There is also a new industrial factory spandrel along with industrial factory fencing, stairs, stair rails, and brick wall coverings.
The styled rooms are an abandoned study, a bedroom for a rebel werewolf, a living space, and a garden. Each styled room has three colour styles available.

Is that bright orange notification always bothering you?
Most of us have gotten that orange Last Exception pop-up from MC Command Center saying that we have a Last Exception. Or maybe Better Exceptions ran a scan and told you that something was broken. Here’s what to do when you get one of those messages.
Stop! Do not save the game. If possible, minimize your game until you know what is wrong. Saving your game could corrupt your file depending on the severity of the error. If you must save, choose Save As instead of Save. This will create a new copy of the file and keep the old version in tact.
If you do not know how to read last exceptions, then you will need to ask for assistance doing so. You can visit the Deaderpool Discord Server or Sims After Dark Discord Server for general help or visit TwistedMexi’s Discord Server for Better Exceptions Reports. If you know what mod is causing the problem, it is best to visit that individual creator’s Discord Server or you can contact them through their other forms of contact (Patreon, Tumblr, Twitter)
Where do I find Last Exceptions files? There are several types of Last Exception Files. The most common type of Last Exception files are the game’s Last Exception file, MC_lastexception.html file, and/or the BE-ExceptionsReport file. Below is where they are located in game. (File path is the same for both PC and Mac)
The Sims 4’s Last Exception File is located in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4MC Command Center’s Last Exception (MC_lastexception.html) is located with your MC Command Center filesBetter Exceptions’ Report (BE-ExceptionReport.html) is located in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
Don’t Use Discord?
Try opening either the MC_LastException or the BE-ExceptionReport and read the main line to see if any mod is named. If there is, then try removing that mod to see if you continue to get the LE. This does not guarantee it is that mod, but it is a good place to start.
Still getting Last Exception notifications? Remove all your mods, delete your cache, and If you’re still getting notifications, it’s a game error. If you weren’t getting the error without mods, try doing a 50/50.
There’s a lot that’s been shared in the article, so we’ve got the short summary of what’s coming here.
If you’re wondering about the upcoming update for The Sims 4 and its coverage and release – don’t worry. We should be expecting one of the biggest updates for The Sims 4 Base Game sometime this month! We’ll also make sure to keep you posted every step of the way on these huge new features – stay tuned!
Ability to Choose Sexual Attraction and Preference in Create A Sim
implementation of sexual and romantic orientation mechanics. Historically, all Sims have essentially been pansexual and panromantic, able to start physical and romantic relationships with any other age-appropriate Sims regardless of gender.
Finally, the base game update releasing alongside the pack will allow Simmers to determine who their Sim is attracted to, separating it into different categories for romantic and sexual attraction
Wants and Fears
Each follows a different teen trope and impacts the new Wants and Fears system (which is coming as part of the coinciding base game update). A spiritual successor to the abandoned Whims system, Wants and Fears are moment-to-moment goals that are more personal to the particular Sim. For instance, a Goal Oriented Sim may fear failing an upcoming exam or not achieving their dreams.
The Sims 4 High School Years – NEW Features Coming
Mayhem and Achieving
Additionally, Sims may join clubs, develop crushes and rivalries, skip class, and much more, with rebellious options having appropriate consequences if they are caught. For instance, a Sim could sneak out of the house and pull a prank on the school, but if they are caught, they could get detention or even be expelled. Failing to graduate comes with its own consequences, from not being able to get certain jobs or not being able to go to university (for those with the Discover University expansion). However, as with most things in The Sims, this is not permanent, and there are other ways for adult Sims to get their diploma after the fact.
Sims Being Properly Asked Out
High School Years is also adding a thematically appropriate new way for Sims to develop relationships. For the first time, Sims may be asked out by NPCs — or dumped by them. This allows them to start new relationships or end them, adding to the realism and drama of high school life.
4 Teen Specific Aspirations
High School Years has plenty of options to change how teens go about their daily lives. There are four new teen-specific aspirations: Live Fast, Drama Llama, Admired Icon, and Goal Oriented. Each follows a different teen trope and impacts the new Wants and Fears system (which is coming as part of the coinciding base game update).
What do you think of the upcoming features? Let us know in the Conversation below!
Let’s Go School CC Shopping! Don’t let your sims start high school without the right clothes.

Clothing: Clothing shopping for Back to School can make or break a sim’s look. There are some teen-themed clothing sets that will give your sims many options for their preferred styles. Some sets that we like include SxL Presents: Teen Style Stuff by Synth x Luumia, Simlish Food Shirts by cookiemonsterrsims, Senior Year Collection by jellymoo, and Falling Leaves Set by cloudcat. If you want a school uniform for your feminine frame sim, there is this School Uniform Skirt & Blazer by cloudcat,

Jeans: Every generation has a style of jeans they prefer. MadameRia created this Dani Denim set of 12 female frame jeans in 3 different leg styles, with a high-waisted and regular-waisted variety. There is a ripped and non-ripped version for each leg type, too. You can download them here on MadameRia’s Patreon. She also has a Peter Pants set available for male frames with fewer options.
The Corgi and Numi Backpacks by MadlenThe Avery Backpack by clumsyalien. This is part of the Road to Nowhere CC Pack.
Backpacks: Although EA doesn’t have an official way for sims to wear backpacks, many cc creators have used rarely used categories to fit in backpacks. Some backpacks that we like include the clumsyalien Avery backpack from the Road to Nowhere CC Pack. Also, we like these cute backpacks from Madlen. There is this Corgi Backpack, Hania Backpack, and Numi Backpack.

There are a few different ways to become a werewolf in The Sims 4 Werewolves. Most of them involve being bitten by a werewolf.
CAS
You can create your own werewolf in CAS. Customize everything about them, right down to their fur colour and pattern. This is a good way to jump right into werewolf gameplay.
Be Attacked by a Werewolf
If you want to play out becoming a werewolf in-game but still want to become one quickly, you can provoke a werewolf into biting you. Antagonizing Greg is the quickest way to do this. Find his trailer in the tall grass by the lake in Moonwood Mill and examine the warning signs to make him appear. Click on him and select Provoke. He’ll beat your Sim up and infect them with Werebies.
Ask Politely
If your Sim has become good friends with a werewolf, they can ask them for the Cursed Bite. Only werewolves with the Curse Bearer ability can give your Sim the Cursed Bite.
Tunnels
You might be attacked and infected with Werebies while exploring the tunnels in Moonwood Mill but this is entirely random.
I Changed My Mind!
If you have a change of heart and don’t want to become a werewolf, you can exercise to sweat out the Werebies bug with mixed results or ask the bartender for a more reliable remedy.
If you are already a werewolf, you’ll need to do the following:
Unlock Lunar Epiphany ability
Scavenge the Diary of Greggorius Lunvik and read it
Harvest 10 Wolfsbane and 3 Moonpetals. Moonpetals can only be harvested at night during a full moon on the top of the cliff.
Make the Wolf-B-Gone drink at a bar and consume it
The latest High School Teaser has shown more than we expected!
The Sims Team has posted another teaser leading up to the big Livestream for The Sims 4 and High School Years Expansion Pack tomorrow!
In the teaser there have been some very hard hints dropped left and right about an upcoming feature. Many believe it’s called Wants & Fears which we had in the early days of The Sims 2:
For The Sims 2 this feature was a huge gameplay mechanic that encouraged (and discouraged) players from certain activities in The Sims. The Sims 4 had a similar feature in the game since the release of Base Game called “Whims”, but those have been optionally disabled through a Game Option in the Gamplay Settings. Possibly because The Sims Team didn’t add anything complex or new on top of it.
@anyaof7890 on Twitter posted an image from one of the SimGurus a few weeks ago. Where they accidentally showed a new revamped User Interface look of the Whims:
Coincidence? We think not.
The teaser for The Sims 4 High School talks about Wants and Fears like an actual feature in The Sims 4, with visual representation of what they look like in the form of thought bubbles. Fears have an angry, erratic bubble while Wants are more calm, more circular shape.
Don’t get into your head. It’s time to face your Fear of People Judging You. And Rejection. And Disappointing Your Parents. Failing School. Swimming. The dark?!?!

The Werewolves CAS catalogue is HUGE! Check out all 149 new CAS pieces!
The Sims 4 Werewolves comes with 79 CAS assets for adults, 11 CAS assets for children, and 3 CAS assets for toddlers for a total of 93 new CAS assets for humans in total.
In addition to the 93 new CAS assets for humans, werewolves have 56 new presets and accessories available to them to make a total of 149 new CAS assets across both humans and werewolves. This makes Werewolves one of the largest CAS catalogues out of any game pack released to date.
The Werewolves CAS selection is comprised mostly of worn, frayed, and tattered clothing with a pretty fair balance between a grungy aesthetic and a more polished aesthetic to suit the style of both werewolf packs that come with this game pack.
There is a small selection of feminine-specific CAS pieces and no male-specific CAS pieces; rather, the vast majority of the CAS catalogue is unisex. Almost everything can be worn by both frames by default but players can of course customize the clothing preference tags to have either frame wear anything in the catalogue.

Werewolf CAS
Below are previews of all the werewolf-specific presets available; however, the colours and patterns of all the fur can be customized with a colour wheel, stamps, various brush sizes and shapes, and different stencil patterns the same way cats and dogs can be customized. Werewolves can also wear any of the clothes in the human CAS categories, except for some specific items, like hats, shoes, and some accessories.
Like the human CAS category, we will be showing off all the presets in our three favourite swatches wherever applicable.
The Sims announced yesterday on their social media channels that their Instagram will be taken over this week by the teen Sims attending Copperdale High. Molly, Sidney, Ash, & Kevin will be our official tour guides of their school, giving us an inside look at what we can expect when we get our hands on The Sims 4: High School Years later this month!
They kicked things off yesterday with Molly, the daughter of the principal in a new video posted to Instagram. Molly shares with us some of the things we’ll be able to do in The Sims 4 High School Years, like customize our own lockers (and prank other students’ lockers), take classes and exams, and survive all the drama that happens at lunch hour!
We also see Molly’s mom, the principal, wearing a blazer with a school crest on it so we’re really hoping we can use these as uniforms for private schools, too! Fingers crossed!
There’s another video preview inside of the High School that you can check out below:
The Sims 4 Werewolves game pack comes with two different wolf packs for your werewolf Sims to join. Particularly ambitious players can even seek to overthrow their pack’s leader and become the new alpha wolf of their pack, giving them more control over the pack’s members.
Most of us are probably going to explore a little bit of everything in the game with different Sims who have different stories, but what if your real self lived in Moonwood Mill? What if you were a werewolf looking for a place of belonging in Moonwood Mill? If the real you could somehow enter the game as a werewolf, where would you align yourself?
Would you seek to build positive relationships between humans and werewolves and join the Moonwood Collective to be a good werewolf ambassador? Would you embrace your animalistic instincts and run wild with the Wildfangs? Would you take Greg’s example and go it alone as a lone wolf? Or maybe you’d like to break outside of the game’s set rules and found your own pack with its own name and values.
We want to know how our readers would forge their werewolf identity in Moonwood Mill!
The World Map for The Sims 4 High School has leaked!
We got ourselves a first preview at the Copperdale World Map!
Copperdale, a brand new World coming with The Sims 4 High School Expansion Pack has been shown in the reveal of the Pack. Throughout which it has been confirmed that we’ll be getting three Neighborhoods, along with new Lots and places to visit!
Wondering what’s included in the World of Copperdale? Check out the preview below!
Copperdale brings 12 Lots. A School District Neighborhood with Two Lots and an editable High School. A Mining Residental area with 4 lots in total, as well as a playful Neighborhood with a ferris wheel that brings 5 new Lots to the World!
The image has been posted by a mysterious user on Twitter who excitingly shared the preview. The original source of the leak remains unknown.
Light up your Sims in Create A Sim with these lighting presets!
Have you ever found yourself thinking that the lighting in Create a Sim could be just that tiny bit better without needing to use a photo editor? Well, we may have the answer you’ve been looking for!
SimplyAnjuta has created several easy to use presets that you can add straight into your game!
Originally created for Halloween, SimplyAnjuta created a collection of four new presets that will give your screenshots that spooky Halloween look.
Citylight – an angled light with a touch of red and blue glow
Citylight: Torchlight – as above but with a torchlike effect
Neutral Light – an angled neutral light
Neutral Light: Torchlight – as above but with a torchlike effect
Additionally, SimplyAnjuta has created two more lighting presets for Create A Sim.
Golden Light
The Golden Light Create a Sim lighting preset is a beautiful addition to bring your screenshots to life.
This simple yet effective lighting preset gives your screenshots that extra bit of brightness and warmth that they were missing. It also is a great preset if you are looking at capturing your pets too!
The Spotlight and Daylight lighting presets are variants of the two presets that have been mentioned above.
Spotlight, while similar to the Golden Light preset, offers a smoother and more subtle glow.
However, the Daylight variant is SimplyAnjuta’s Torchlight preset, however it has been edited to make it look as though the light is coming from the sun instead.
Each of these presets are a wonderful addition for capturing your Sims in Create a Sim and allow you to get those beautiful one of a kind screenshots that we all know and love!
While SimplyAnjuta has created a number of Create A Sim lighting presets, they have also created two in-game lighting presets that you can find here.
What are you waiting for? Why not add one of these lighting presets, jump into Create a Sim and capture those screenshots!
Meet the Humans (and Hairy Werewolves) of Moonwood Mill!
The Sims 4 Werewolves comes with one premade family already living in Moonwood Mill, but there are five more households connected to Moonwood Mill that do not live in a home in the world. Most of the town’s residents are, unsurprisingly, werewolves.
So without any further delay, let’s meet the residents of Moonwood Mill!
The Volkov Household
Jacob Volkov – Human FormJacob Volkov – Wolf FormKristopher Volkov – Human FormKristopher Volkov – Wolf FormLily Zhu – Human FormLily Zhu – Wolf Form
Household Description
Kristopher Volkov has been around longer than most can remember. He founded and leads the Moonwood Collective, and is eager to take in any werewolf feeling displaced or lost.
Lily joined the household long ago, a lonely wanderer who had lost her closest friends to the vampires. After her came Rory, then Jacob. Though Rory’s relationship with her adoptive father has soured, Jacob and Kristopher’s connection has flourished. Both bear the same calm yet intense soul, and everyone in Moonwood Mill knows Kristopher intends for Jacob to be the heir to his pack.

Household Notes
The Volkov household is the only household that actually lives in a home in Moonwood Mill. All other Sims that come with the pack are homeless townies but the other werewolves in town have rabbithole pack hangouts where it’s assumed they live at.
Depending on other packs the player owns, the Volkov family may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, Kristopher comes with Parenting skill, the Wellness like, and a Great Reputation if Parenthood, Spa Day, and Get Famous are installed, respectively. Lily has the Vampire Lore skill if Vampires is installed. Jacob comes with high Character Values if Parenthood is installed.
Although not mentioned in the household description, Lily reveals through conversation in-game that Caleb and Lilith Vatore from the Vampires game pack are her cousins. They were close friends as children but grew apart when Caleb and Lilith became vampires.
Rory and Jacob are Kristopher’s children by adoption.
Although Rory no longer lives with her father and brother, she still has a bedroom in the home that appears to have remained untouched since she left; however, the room has a lot of wall and floor damage from werewolf claw marks. This might indicate that Rory lost her temper and trashed her room before she left and that her father hasn’t tidied up because he still misses her.
The Oaklow Household
Rory Oaklow – Human FormRory Oaklow – Wolf Form
Household Description
Most of Moonwood Mill knows Rory as the leader of the Wildfangs, but she first arrived as a confused young werewolf under the care of Kristopher Volkov. He tried to counsel control and to nurture her like one of his garden flowers, but the two grew apart as Rory grew up. His ideals and values stifled her inner wolf until Rory chose to listen to the beast inside her and moved out to form her own pack. Nowadays, Rory may seem like she has it all figured out, but deep down, she’s still discovering how to be the leader she always wished Kristopher could have been.
Rory Oaklow
Age: Young Adult Occult: Werewolf (Apex) Career: Freelancer (Undecided Trade) Aspiration: Renaissance Sim Walk Style: Swagger Voice: Melodic Traits: Self Assured | Ambitious | Hot-Headed | Quick Learner (Bonus) Skills: Charisma 3 | Dancing 3 | Fitness 9 | Handiness 3 | Knitting 2 | Violin 4 Relationships: Kristopher Volkov – Father | Jacob Volkov – Brother | Lou Howell – Friend | Greg – Despised Sentiments: Jacob Volkov – Deeply Connected Likes: METAL MUSIC, Fitness, Knitting, Violin, Blue Dislikes: Queen Anne Décor Pack Affiliations: Wildfangs (Alpha) Werewolf Abilities: Scavenger, Natural Healing, Pack Howl, Curse Bearer, Primal Instincts, Alpha Wolf, Immortal Wolf Dormant Abilities Unlocked: Werewolf Empathy, Lunar Epiphany, Transformation Mastery Werewolf Temperaments: Hates Being Wet, Prideful, Restless Animal, Big Bad Wolf
Household Notes
Rory doesn’t live in a home in the world but it’s assumed she “lives” at the trailer in town that serves as the Wildfangs’ hangout.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Rory may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, Rory likes Metal music and Knitting, both of which are part of the Nifty Knitting Stuff pack. She also comes with a Good Reputation if Get Famous is installed.
The Sims Team stated that they did not have time to implement the newly-introduced pronoun update in the Werewolves game pack so Rory uses she/her pronouns in the game, but many players are in agreement that Rory was originally intended to be non-binary and use they/them pronouns. For this reason, either she/her or they/them pronouns are considered suitable for Rory by the fanbase.
Although her relationship with her father is strained, Rory still seems to maintain a close relationship with her younger brother. For players wishing to play out a reconciliation arc with these Sims, Jacob may be able to serve as the bridge between Rory and Kristopher.
The Wilder Household
Wolfgang Wilder – Human FormWolfgang Wilder – Wolf Form
Household Description
Wolfgang has lived in Moonwood Mill for decades, where he’s been documenting the history of werewolves and trying to give them a brighter future. A famous author who specializes in werewolf “fiction,” his books have introduced the idea of the “friendly neighborhood werewolf” into popular culture. Because he uses a pen name, nobody realizes he himself is actually the very thing he champions.

Wolfgang doesn’t live in a home in the world but it’s assumed he “lives” in the hollowed tree outside town that serves as the Moonwood Collective hangout. He can be made playable through marriage or move-in but he will lose his NPC role as a librarian and become unemployed.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Wolfgang may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, he dislikes Metal music and Bowling, which are part of the Nifty Knitting and Bowling Night Stuff packs, respectively. He has skill in Vampire Lore, which comes with the Vampires game pack, and he starts out with a Good Reputation if Get Famous is installed.
Wolfgang is a member of the Moonwood Collective pack, but is also a friend to the Wildfangs’ pack even though he is not personally close with any of the Wildfangs’ members.
The Howell Household
Lou Howell – Human FormLou Howell – Wolf Form
Household Description
Shortly after Lou’s arrival in Moonwood Mill, he tried to impress his date Celene by taunting the town’s notoriously feral werewolf, Greg. His poor decision led to painful consequences for both him and Celene, but while she sought a remedy, Lou figured he could just ride this one out…which didn’t turn out as anticipated. Will this master of mischief learn to love his new inner wolf or will he try and find a way out of the mess he’s found himself in?
Lou doesn’t live in a home in the world but it’s assumed he “lives” in the trailer in town that serves as the Wildfangs’ hangout.
Lou’s household bio reveals that he was turned into a werewolf recently while on a date with Celene however, he and Celene are just Acquaintances with no romance bar. He does have the Smitten sentiment with her, though, which indicates he and Celene were not very serious and that date was most likely their first one.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Lou may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, he likes S-Pop Music and has the Singing skill, both which come with the City Living expansion pack.
Although he has the Art Lover trait, Lou dislikes Painting which is an odd choice. He does, however, like many different genres of music and he can sing so his Art Lover trait may pertain more to musical art rather than visual art.
The López Household
Household Description
Ever since she was a little girl, Celene has been fascinated by romanticized tales of lycanthropy. However, she got more than she bargained for while on a midnight date in the woods. Thankfully, she discovered an antidote which prevented her transformation. She’s more cautious now, but her position as the local barkeep gives her a front row view to the wondrous world of werewolves without the risk of injury.
Celene López
Age: Young Adult Career: Bartender (NPC Role) Aspiration: Neighbourhood Confidante Walk Style: Default Voice: Sweet Traits: Geek | Neat | Outgoing | Gregarious (Bonus) | Werewolf Ally (Reward) Skills: Charisma 3 | Cooking 4 | Herbalism 2 | Mixology 7 Relationships: Greg – Despised Sentiments: Greg – Festering Grudge Likes: Strange Tunes, Mixology, Blue Dislikes: Mischief Pack Affiliations: Friend of the Moonwood Collective, Friend of the Wildfangs
Household Notes
Celene doesn’t live in a home in the world but there is a communal living space underneath the bar where she works that has bunk beds so one might imagine that’s where she sleeps. She can be made playable through marriage or move-in but she will lose her NPC role as a bartender and become unemployed.
Celene is the only human “living” in Moonwood Mill and appears to be on good terms with all of her werewolf neighbours, except for Greg, who bit her while she was exploring the woods on a date with Lou. She was able to find a cure for herself before she became a werewolf and will now help the player cure themselves of Lycanthropy if they ask her about it at the bar.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Celene may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, she has the Herbalism skill which comes with the Outdoor Retreat game pack and she likes Strange Tunes music, which comes with the StrangerVille game pack.
Even though Lou has the Smitten sentiment with Celene, she has no romantic sentiments towards him, no romance bar, and no indication that their date ever went further into a committed relationship, so it seems as if Lou’s affections for Celene are one-sided.
Greg doesn’t live in a home in the world but there is a secluded trailer on the edge of town where he is supposed to reside. He only spawns when Sims examine the warning signs posted outside his trailer and will almost always attack any nearby Sims on sight.
Greg is a “secret” townie in the game, meaning he can only be spawned under particular circumstances and he will not be available to edit in the Manage Households menu. The only way to edit Greg is to make him playable via cheats or mods and manually add him to your household.
Greg is considered a “lone wolf” and hates all the other werewolves in town. Players aspiring to become a master lone wolf themselves will have to eventually win in a brawl against Greg.
Through researching the local lore in the game, players will discover that Greg’s full name is Greggorius Lunvik and he was one of the original Mooncasters (Spellcasters who had wolf familiars and derived their powers from them, eventually taking on their wolf’s characteristics and becoming the first werewolves). His wolf familiar was named Brutus.
Greg is a widower who was once married to a woman named Avalina Lunvik. His wedding ring is the only item of clothing he still wears while in his wolf form.
