During The Sims 4 Terrain Tool Livestream The Sims Team has confirmed a lot of things, including the ability to place down foundations for each room individually. The team has replaced the foundation slider and instead added the ability to “drag” the foundation along with the room up and down.
The upcoming update for The Sims 4 will also give you the ability to drag rooms up and down – including the basements!
The upcoming update allows for so many different builds that will make each and every look very different from what we had before. For example check out the lot that the team created below!

This week we announced The Sims™ 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack* And, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover. There’s more than one way to get famous, as you’ll find out, but here we’re going to explore what can happen when your Sim is on their way there. So, where does a star begin to rise? It all starts in Del Sol Valley – Mirage Park to be exact. This is where talented up-and-comers reside, honing their craft, going on countless auditions, and streaming their way to the top of their respective industries. No matter which path to Fame your Sim chooses, it will have twists, turns, and even some detours, but it will all be worth it when – one day – they can finally come home to a gold-plated toilet.
Each Sim who lives in Del Sol Valley has a Public Image, which is a combination of Reputation and Celebrity Level. As their Celebrity Level rises, they’ll earn Fame Points, unlock perks, and gain benefits like slipping past the velvet rope at the hottest spot in town. There are many ways to earn points and get perks. Your Sim can perform music or jokes at open mic night, donate to their favorite charity, get an A-lister to hang out with them (fingers crossed!), or even be the child of famous parents.
Anyway, back to the perks. Has your Sim ever wanted to be a fashion trailblazer? Well, they’ll see it right before their eyes when other Sims begin dressing like them. Or, how about a fan favorite? When your Sim drops everything to strike a pose on Starlight Boulevard, passersby just might faint. But don’t worry about picking those fans up. Bouncers can deal with them. When your Sim unlocks the squad perk, they’ll lead a pack of other faaaabulous Sims they just can’t live without. Sims can’t possibly be celebrities without rolling up with an entourage.
Fair warning: fame comes with a price, and we’re not talking Simoleons. Fans and Stans can act, um, a little strange around your Sim. And don’t even get us started on the paparazzi. Can’t a celebrity live in peace?! Unless they choose to don a disguise, not really.
Now that your Sim is a proper celebrity, and they’re literally shining from head to toe, it’ll be the perfect time to move to The Pinnacles. They can look down upon the little people, thank them, and fall fast asleep in their pod. Yes, their pod.
TheSims.com has just announced that the long-awaited Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 – Seasons, will be making its way to Xbox One and PS4 consoles on November 13th!

The Sims Team is doing a fully dedicated livestream for one of the biggest features coming with The Sims 4’s upcoming update – Terrain Manipulation!

Why We Love It: We love Ciara’s take on a supernatural story! She’s taken the time to build sets for her scenes, like a school, which give her pictures a more realistic touch. We’re also digging the premise of a Sim moving somewhere far away and having to adjust to a new lifestyle and make new friends. With Mia’s powers, that might prove to be more difficult than anticipated. It sounds like an exciting read! Keep those updates coming, Ciara, and great job!

Why We Love It: The Sims is a life simulation so naturally, weddings and babies are as big a deal in the game as they are in real life. We love that Madison went all out for her Sims on their special day. Her use of creative angles, custom poses and attention to detail while decorating all come together to create the picture-perfect wedding that these Sims will certainly remember for a lifetime.

Why We Love It: It is truly the end of an era. Those of you who’ve been following the story of Arnav the Mediocre Butler either in our Facebook group or here in our Weekly Column will be familiar with poor, hopeless Arnav whose skill as a butler left much to be desired but who had a heart of gold. We would have loved to continue reading The Adventures of the Mediocre Butler forever but all things must come to an end, so we’ll just wave goodbye and wipe a tear from our eye. Simmers, we’d like to announce that Sims Camp is happening for a very special group of Game Changers, Influencers, and community members. So, what’s Sims Camp? Well, it’s a time for content creators across the globe to connect, have fun, and celebrate The Sims! This year’s event will be held in London and features a host of events, experiences, and opportunities to make our community stronger.
And, why are we sharing this with you? Because you’ll be able to experience it through the eyes of your favorite creators! Plus, we hope you’ll follow along on The Sims’ social channels for up-to-the-minute updates. In no particular order, here’s who will be there to capture and create content just for you:

Anywho, Baby Ariel has been confirmed to perform this Thursday on NBC’s TODAY Show where she’ll get to sing one of her songs in Simlish and possibly even showcase some new Get Famous Footage.
Well, apparently, that’s not all. After finally managing to read TheSims.com’s announcement blog for Get Famous I stumbled upon a quote that had me s h o o k:

YUP – This pop music savior is going to be featured in The Sims 4 Get Famous’ brand new world called Del Sol Valley as an NPC that performs music in public areas around the neighborhoods.

The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack doesn’t just focus on the new careers which are Actor and Influencer. Many were left wondering what does this pack contribute to the musical side and does it add anything new to already existing careers.
SimGuruKate went on Twitter to confirm the fact that The Sims 4 Get Famous is going to influence every single career we have in The Sims 4 – including the ones we’ve got through packs. This means that if you want to become a famous musician you can through the Entertainer > Musician branch career that already exists with The Sims 4 Base Game.
For this pack we focused on allowing Sims to get famous from careers currently available across multiple packs. We have also taken a brand new approach on an active acting career, allowing you to be more involved in your Sims’ success (or failure) as an actor.
SimGurus have already started answering important questions on Twitter about The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack as well as started revealing some interesting information about the pack.

Some more tea for you all! Children can be some degree of famous, yes. Also we have a fun little Drama Club that kids and teens will be able to join. However, no professional child actors (working with their stage parents would have been nightmares).
I am seeing some questions based on today’s blog about Fame and wanted to quickly clarify. Sims outside of Del Sol Valley will be able to get famous. However there will be premade Sims living in Del Sol Valley who are already famous as well as some famous Sims as walkbys.
“They said you can gain celebrity status by performing at open mic night or by performing music, but what about dance off, busking, karaoke, djing, selling art, etc.?” Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
For a player who also owns Jungle Adventure… giving archaeology lectures, identifying artifacts, and writing archaeology books can help a Sim become a famous archaeologist, yes.
The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack’s announcement trailer has left many wondering about one particular frame. The photo that you can see down below shows a limo standing in front of a house which got many thinking (including myself) if this means that vechiles will be making a comeback with this Expansion Pack.
