Turning the Grim Reaper into a Vampire

Believe it or not, you can have a vampire Grim Reaper in The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack. However, you’ll need to know a few tricks and cheats in order to turn him into a vampire…

First off, you’ll need to kill a Sim on your lot in order to make the Grim Reaper appear. After he pops up on your lot, enter the testingcheats true cheat and then shift + click on the Grim Reaper > Add to Family.

Still, you’ll notice that you won’t have normal control over the Grim Reaper. This can be easily fixed by sending the Grim Reaper to another lot and coming back.

Now that you have complete control over the Grim Reaper you can turn him into a Vampire. However, traditional ways of becoming a Vampire won’t do the trick as the Grim Reaper doesn’t have any plasma…

Turning the Grim Reaper into a Vampire

There is a cheat that automatically turns any Sim into a Vampire, including the Grim Reaper. While the Grim Reaper is selected, enter the stats.set_stat commodity_BecomingVampire 2160 cheat.

Grim Reaper will get its dark form automatically, and therefore you’ll get a Sim with random CAS assets that doesn’t look like a Grim Reaper at all.

Click a wardrobe on your lot and select Change Sim option. From there you can find an option on the bottom left corner that lets you copy any CAS items and parts from the normal to the dark form, making your Grim Reaper look exactly the same in both forms.

Aaaand there you have it – you now have a controllable Grim Reaper with vampire gameplay.

The Sims Through the Years: 24th June

4

Hello and welcome to a brand new series we will be hosting here on Sims Community. You’ve obviously heard of throwback Thursday, well we love a good heap of nostalgia so we thought it would be fantastic to remind you of the many releases we’ve had over the years.

As today is the 24th June we will be going back several years to 2008 when The Sims 2: Ikea Home Stuff was released, although just a stuff pack this was a brilliant addition to the already large library of games, adding plenty of new and stylish furniture to the game, something it definitely needed.

Although it has been a massive nine years since its release the pack still holds up incredibly well, the furniture is some of the best in the complete game and well worth it. The pack actually included real furniture that IKEA really sold at the time.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the Life

With the release of Fitness Stuff, our Sims’ workouts and athletic style just got a major upgrade and what better way to experience everything this exciting new pack has to offer than through the eyes of the Sims themselves? I spent some time delving into the pack with a few Sims and documented their experiences, so let’s take an in-depth look at a day in the life of the Baxter family.

Helpful Hint! You can get a closer look at any of the images in this article by clicking on them to view the full size version.

Meet Nichole, her wife Natalia, and their teenage son, Reese. Nichole is sporting the new dreadlocks hairstyle that came with Fitness Stuff while Natalia is keeping things casual with the new side ponytail. Reese is showing off the sleek sideswept ombre hairstyle that came with this pack. His beanie covers some of it right now but you’ll see the full hairstyle in just a little bit when the Baxters hit the gym. With the exception of Reese’s beanie and earring, everything you’ll see the Baxters wearing in this segment is from the new Fitness Stuff pack so keep an eye out for their trendy everyday and athletic wear.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeI’ve just placed the Baxters in their new home in Newcrest and Reese already looks bored. Oh the trials and tribulations of teenage angst! We should fix that. How? A trip to the gym, of course!

The Baxters decide to head across town to the brand new FIT-X 24 Hour Gym for a good workout. Nichole and Natalia are hoping their moody son can get out some of his teenage frustrations through physical activity.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the Life

Natalia is an all-out fitness freak. She has the Bodybuilder aspiration and she’s always looking for a thrilling challenge to get her adrenaline pumping. She heads straight for the brand new rock wall. Health is important to Nichole, too, but she prefers a more relaxed, mindful approach to fitness. The yoga classes being offered at FIT-X are tempting for her, but she decides to try something new. She heads upstairs to check out some of the fitness videos on the gym’s TV.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeReese needs a little extra motivation to start working up a sweat so he pops in his brand new earbuds and throws on his favourite Alternative tunes. The Electronica soundtrack playing on the gym’s speakers are just so not his taste.

Ah, he looks happier already! Nothing calms the hormonal teenage soul like the soothing sounds of electric guitars and guttural screaming. It looks like he’s finally ready to get into a nice long workout so he heads over to the newly designed treadmills to go for a run.

Just a quick tip! Earbuds can be purchased through the computer in a variety of colours, including metallic variants like gold. Once a Sim has the earbuds in his inventory, you can click on him and select the new music option to pick the genre you’d like him to listen to.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeLet’s check on Nichole and see how she’s getting on with her Plumboomba routine.

It looks like she’s getting the hang of it! Look at her strutting her stuff across the floor like a pro. You keep rocking those sweet dance moves, Nichole! You’ll be fit and toned in no time at all with that kind of cardio activity.

Nichole finishes her Plumboomba routine but she’s feeling prettyThe Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the Life energized from all that dancing and isn’t ready to hit the showers just yet. She decides to push the limits by exploring the new aerobics video while her wife and son are still in the zone downstairs. She has some trouble with this one at first. The instructors are just moving so fast. How do they jump up so easily after doing crunches?! They must be aliens. Soon, however, Nichole hits her stride and begins to leap to new heights. Literally! Look how high she can jump! She looks like a majestic swan taking flight.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeCome to think of it, we haven’t checked in on Natalia since we left her on the rock wall, have we? Maybe we should go see how she’s doing. I hear the rock wall can be dangerous. Let’s make sure Natalia’s still okay.

Turns out, we didn’t need to worry about Natalia after all. It looks like she can handle this gentle setting on the rock wall without too much difficulty.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeThere are more intense workout options available on the rock wall, including the endurance challenge, the vertical climb, and even an extreme setting that gets too hot for comfort as jets of fire shoot out of the wall at random that your Sim must quickly avoid. If she’s too slow, these fire jets can kill her! Talk about an extreme challenge! Since this was Natalia’s first time on the rock wall, she was only able to choose between the gentle and vertical climbs, but the more she uses the rock wall, more advanced (and dangerous) workout options will open up to her as she improves this hidden five-level skill.

Woops! Looks like Natalia lost her footing and stumbled, but she was quick to recover and pull herself back up. You go, girl! Take each obstacle in stride!

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeWhat’s Reese getting up to, anyway? I hope he’s staying out of trouble while his parents aren’t looking.

Oh there’s Reese! He’s still on the treadmill where we left him, sporting his trendy athletic wear that came with the Fitness Stuff pack. Those earbuds are really helping him focus on his workout. Nothing could possibly get in the way of Reese’s dedication to health and fitness now!

Well, nothing except pretty girls, anyway, it seems. The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the Life

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeWith their workouts completed, it’s time for the Baxters to shower off that layer of sweat and relax with a nice cold beverage. You’ve seen lots of Fitness Stuff objects around the gym while hanging out with the Baxters today, from wall coverings to windows to mirrors to the newly designed treadmill and weights. Right now, the Baxters are getting comfortable in some of the new Fitness Stuff seating in the gym’s front lobby. A few other Fitness Stuff items in the background here are the windows, the coffee table and the rug.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: A Day in the LifeNatalia and Nichole sip on their drinks and tell each other all about how their workouts went. Next time, they’ll have to switch and see how Nichole handles the rock wall. Natalia wants to try out some of those Plumboomba moves, too. They ask Reese how his run on the treadmill went.

… Reese? Um, Reese?! Hello?!

Reese is totally tuning out his parents. He’s still wearing his earbuds and is rocking out in a world all his own.

Oh, Reese!

The Sims 4 Eco Living: Vote for Gameplay Features!

75

Via TheSims.com!

Hello Simmers! We’ve reached the most important moment in the development of this collaborative Stuff Pack project yet. Today you’ll be participating in a vote to determine what new gameplay features could be included within this Stuff Pack.

The Sims 4 Eco Living: Vote for Gameplay Features!

If you’re new to this project and find yourself wondering what this is all about, I’ll direct you to the welcome post in SimGuruGraham’s Corner on the official forums. There you’ll find information on what this project is, how far into development we are, and the votes that fellow Sims players have already participated in. After you catch up, be sure to come right back here to cast your vote!

In the time since the last vote, where you helped select 29 objects and 17 pieces of clothing for this pack, we’ve been buzzing here in the studio about what potential features we could include. With the Stuff Pack team gathered together in a room with a trusty white board, we brainstormed all the potential gameplay features that came to mind that could work with our theme. In a brainstorm, there are no bad suggestions – just a torrent of ideas for us to sift through.

The Sims 4 Eco Living: Vote for Gameplay Features!

As you can see, a whole bunch of initial possibilities came to mind. There’s a lot to consider here! Some are tried and true favorites from past Sims titles, while others would be brand new to the series. Unfortunately, these ideas can’t all move forward to the next step in our development process, where we write something that we call “design blurbs”. A design blurb is just a short design that’s only a few sentences in length. They exist to give the most basic idea of what we hope to accomplish. It isn’t until later, when we write the full design, where all the little details are added that make each feature truly special. Design blurbs also allow members of various development disciplines to provide a rough estimate of how long they think it will take them to implement their work for a feature. This is vital information that we use to determine what we can add during our development schedule, before work even begins. In the survey today, you’ll be reading design blurbs to determine which group of features you want to cast your vote for.

Before we can write these design blurbs, our designers and producers collaborate to pluck out the ideas we think have the most promise to deliver a great Stuff Pack. Our philosophy for Stuff Packs is to provide features that complement both the overall theme, and each other. We also take into account if our development schedule allows enough time to deliver upon the promise of a proposed feature. Then we consider if what we’re proposing fills a unique niche that’s currently lacking in The Sims 4. It’s also important for us to select features in Stuff Packs that can stand on their own – we recognize that there are many small quality of life additions that players request, but they’re generally a better fit as a supporting feature in a larger pack. Finally, we try and steer clear of features that we suspect a Game Pack or Expansion Pack may want to tackle in the future.

With that perspective in mind, it was fairly easy to eliminate some features from the brainstorm right off the bat, by knowing that they simply can’t be done within a Stuff Pack. From what remained, we pushed our favorites forward, using a mixture of designer intuition and player feedback to determine what could be compelling additions. Some clear themes stood out to us, and you’ll see those represented here in today’s vote.

Voting ends on June 26, 2017 at 10AM PT.

OFF THE GRID
An optional gameplay system for Sims who want to disconnect from the utilities grid, and instead choose to live off the land. Some gameplay feature ideas include:

– Off the Grid Lot Trait – When this lot trait is selected, the lot no longer receives electricity or water utilities. Bills are significantly reduced or eliminated altogether.
– Well Pump / Water Well – An object that provides a means of acquiring water. Sim would be required to occasionally pump water. An attached reservoir would display how much water is remaining to supply the lot before the well must be pumped again. If the reservoir is empty, objects requiring water become temporarily unusable if the Off the Grid lot trait is active. Reduces weekly bills, and has the potential to break or have upgrades.
– Solar Panels – An object that provides a means of acquiring power. Sim would be required to occasionally calibrate and clean the solar panel to ensure it can still supply enough power to the lot. If panels are not maintained, then objects requiring power become temporarily unusable if the Off the Grid lot trait is active. Reduces weekly bills, and has potential upgrades. (May look like a traditional solar panel or may appear to be a tree made of solar panels. Will be a ground placeable object only.)
– Wind Turbine – An object that provides a means of acquiring power. Sim would be required to occasionally calibrate and clean the wind turbine to ensure it can still supply enough power to the lot. If the wind turbine is not maintained, then objects requiring power become temporarily unusable if the Off the Grid lot trait is active. Reduces weekly bills, and has potential upgrades. (May look like a residential wind turbine on a pole or may appear to be a tree made of small wind turbines as leaves. Will be a ground placeable object only.)

LAUNDRY
An optional gameplay system that’s only used by the active household when laundry objects are placed on the Sim’s home lot. Moodlets and modifiers to the decay rate of certain needs serve as some of the benefits and pushback of this system. Some gameplay feature ideas include:

– Washing Machine – Sims can use the washing machine to clean dirty clothes that are collected from a hamper, or from piles of clothes on the ground. Object could break, be upgraded, and potentially have a fun interaction or a funny failure.
– Dryer – Sims can take clothes that have just been cleaned in the Washing Machine or the Wash Tub and have them dried. Object could break, as well as being upgraded.
Hamper – When a Sim in the active household changes their outfit on their home lot, laundry is added to the hamper as long as it exists anywhere on the lot. Over time, the hamper gradually fills up. If there is no hamper, or the hamper is full, then a clothes pile appears on the ground.
– Clothes Line – Sims who prefer to be eco conscious can choose to use a clothesline as an alternative to the dryer. Using a clothes line does not require power and offers savings on the weekly bill, but clothes take longer to dry.
– Wash Tub – Sims who prefer to be eco conscious can choose to use a wash tub as an alternative to a washing machine. Using a wash tub does not require power or water, and offers savings on the weekly bill, but the Sim must remain at the object to wash their clothes by hand. can choose to use a wash tub as an alternative to a washing machine. Using a wash tub does not require power or water, and offers savings on the weekly bill, but the Sim must remain at the object to wash their clothes by hand.

FOOD PRESERVES
A collection of features that add new things to do with your harvestable fruits and vegetables, allowing your Sims to produce and store food for personal use or profit. Some gameplay feature ideas include:

– Canning & Preserving – A new counter-top Electric Canning Pot that allows Sims to take harvestables and preserve them for long term storage, or to make fresh jams. When a harvestable is preserved, the contents of the canning jar will no longer spoil. At any point, the Sim can retrieve the harvestables as fresh as the day they were canned. When fruit is turned into a jam, new recipes are available to make Toast and Jam, Bagel and Jam, or Scones with Jam.
– Nectar Making – A new Nectar Maker object, paired with the new Nectar Making Skill. Use of this object allows Sims to use grapes and other harvestables to create nectar, which can then be aged in Nectar Aging Racks to increase the value of the bottled nectar. New varieties of grapes would be available for planting and harvesting for Sims with the Gardening Skill.
– Superfood Harvestable Plant – A new harvestable plant. (Exact type of plant not yet determined.) Superfood would add new recipes, or have the option of being added to some existing recipes to make them healthier.

CARBON CONSCIOUS
A collection of features that allows Sims to reduce their carbon emissions in a variety of ways. Some gameplay feature ideas include:

– Freegan Trait – Sims with the freegan trait have interactions to rummage in large or small trash cans, and potentially elsewhere, to scrounge ingredients. Will include some new ingredients to discover. (Apple core, banana peel, etc.) New ingredients will be used to prepare some new recipes that Freegan Sims will love. Freegan Sims can eat spoiled food without getting sick. Freegan Sims always want to use the Composter object, and will receive special moodlets when doing so.
– Composter – An object that Sims can use to dispose trash, dead plants, spoiled food/harvestables, and to scrape the remains of meals into. As the composter is filled, the contents are converted into fertilizer. Fertilizer is then used on harvestables in accordance with the Gardening Skill.
– Recycling – Recycle Bins can be placed from Build Mode that function differently than trash cans. Sims with certain traits will prefer to use a recycle bin when available, and will receive special moodlets for doing so. Sims will have an option to rummage through existing trash cans to sort their contents for recycling. Sims will have an option to take the recycling they’ve collected to a recycle center – Sim will walk off the lot and disappear, and return a short while later with extra simoleons.

When this vote closes on Monday, we’ll know a whole lot more about what this pack will be, but we still won’t have the full picture. It’s important to note that as we write the full designs for the winning features, that things have the potential to change, and they invariably will. We’re confident we can deliver a fun experience no matter what the result in this feature vote, but the majority of work still lies ahead of us. After the votes are tallied we’ll start writing those full designs, which will comprehensively detail the entire experience that these features will offer. A full design means that each discipline on the Stuff Pack team can provide more accurate estimates of how much time they’ll need to work to implement these features. If estimates change, we have to go back and re-evaluate the features that have been approved. When full development of this pack ramps up in August, we’ll finally know if we need to make any cuts, or if we have room for any further additions. I’m certainly hoping for the latter – there are some great ideas from the brainstorm that are small in scope that we’d love to sneak in. As development progresses, we’ll be sharing with you every step of the way. You’ll not only hear about any changes we make, but the thought process that guided our decisions. Check back regularly in SimGuruGraham’s Corner on our forums to see all of the latest news about this project.

To close, I’ll leave you with dates for the remaining votes for this project. Circle your calendars and come back to make your voice heard!

The Sims 4 Vampires: How to Play a Good Vampire on a Budget

If you play with vampires a lot, you’ll know how difficult it is to play a good vampire who doesn’t drink plasma from Sims. It’s much harder than playing an evil vampire who has no qualms about compelling whatever unlucky Sim happens to be nearby for a deep drink. This is because plasma alternatives like plasma fruit and plasma packs aren’t as satisfying as plasma directly from a Sim. This is by design. It’s not a bug or a poorly thought out mechanic. Naturally, a vampire who doesn’t want to drink plasma from humans would have a harder time surviving; they’d constantly be fighting their thirst. They’d always be on the verge of flying into a frenzy and attacking a Sim when their thirst becomes unbearable.

The Sims 4 Vampires: How to Play a Good Vampire on a Budget

Normally, there are three main ways to satisfy a good vampire’s thirst:

  • Ordering Plasma Packs through the computer.
  • Making your own Plasma Packs out of fish or frogs.
  • Growing and harvesting plasma fruit.

All of these have their fair share of problems.

  • Plasma Packs cost §50 a piece when ordered through the computer. This might not be a big deal to the vampire who just wants to carry a couple plasma packs on them as backup, but to the good vampire who relies on plasma packs as her main food source? That gets very expensive very quickly, especially since it takes about three or four plasma packs to fully satisfy a vampire’s thirst. That’s assuming she doesn’t have the Sloppy Drinker or Insatiable Thirst weaknesses. If your vampire has either of these, then she’ll need even more.
  • For the good vampire on a budget, he can go fishing or frog hunting and use the fish and frogs he catches to make his own plasma packs, but unless your vampire is really passionate about fishing or collecting frogs, this is a massive waste of his time. Who wants to spend an eternity fishing just to stave off thirst for one more day? That’s no fun. Vampires should be having the time of their undead lives! They should be doing cool vampire things like sparring, studying Vampire Lore, learning to play the Pipe Organ and using their super cool vampire powers.
  • Sure, your vampire can grow a small orchard of plasma fruit in the yard and even hire a gardener to do most of the work for her in caring for her precious life-giving trees, but plasma fruit is the least effective thirst quencher. Your vampire would have to eat 20 of these strange glowing fruits or more just to mostly satisfy her thirst. That’s a lot of plasma fruit she needs to be growing and harvesting constantly to keep up with demand.

The Sims 4 Vampires: How to Play a Good Vampire on a Budget

Clearly, good vampires need a better solution. One that doesn’t involve the Watcher typing a strange code into a magic box to intervene on behalf of their undead charges, one that doesn’t take up most of a vampire’s afterlife and one that won’t leave a vampire broke.

Here is the cheap, easy, 100% legit (no cheats) alternative to stock up a good vampire with all the plasma packs s/he’ll ever need:

  • Buy the plain fish bowl that came with the unpatched base game for §60.
  • Click on the fish bowl and select Purchase Fish.
  • The cheapest fish you can buy is the Guppy for §15. Select the Guppy.
  • Click on the fish bowl again and select Move Fish to Inventory.
  • Repeat until you have the desired amount of fish.
  • Click the fish and select Create Plasma Pack.
  • Repeat until you have the desired number of Plasma Packs.

If you buy 99 guppies at §15 a piece to make into plasma packs, that comes out to §1,485 for 99 plasma packs. To put that in perspective, if you were to buy the same number of plasma packs through the computer for §50 a piece, that works out to §4,950. That’s a whopping §3,465 difference! You’re saving over three thousand simoleans every time you stock up your good vampire on plasma packs using this method and saving your vampire a bunch of time fishing and frog catching.

I hope that helps your good vampires stay good without breaking their bank accounts or wasting all that time they’d rather spend doing more fun things than fishing and frog-catching.

Have any tips of your own for playing vampires? Share them in the comments! I’d love to hear from you!

Here’s what the community thinks about Fitness Stuff

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff could be one of the most controversial Sims 4 Stuff Packs to date, mostly because the main object that comes with it (the climbing wall) is not really that useful…

Although I tried to point out that there are plenty of other new items in Create A Sim and Build Mode, people are still not pleased that The Sims Team picked the climbing wall as the main aspect of this Pack. I have to agree, The Sims Team could’ve gone with something more fitness-y rather than a huge object that we’ll probably use 1-2 times and forget about it later…

I asked some of our followers on Twitter and  members on Sims Community Social about their thoughts on this Stuff Pack. Here’s what they have to say:

Of course, there were some people who still liked the pack:

We opened up a poll on Sims Community Social, asking people to vote whether or not they’ll get the pack. Here’s what they said:

Here’s what the community thinks about Fitness Stuff

People are just not loving this Stuff Pack thanks to its main gameplay object. Hopefully they learn something from this and choose gameplay features in future Stuff Packs more carefully…

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: Other Uses for the Climbing Wall

There are three great new game play items included with the Sims 4 Fitness Stuff Pack just released. These are Workout Videos for the television, Earbuds for music playback and the primary object, the Rock Climbing Wall. My focus for this article is the last item. At first glance its use may seem limited to the gym.  However, thanks to a quirky inclusion of fire and unique design there are several other uses that sprang to my mind. In fact, since seeing the first pictures, this object is what I have been most excited about in this pack. The last suggestion in this list is my favorite.

The first use outside of the gym is rather obvious. You can place it in the quintessential Clue/Cluedo Mansion Challenge as a triple sided means of killing your Sims. There’s the usual death through exertion. Electrical breakdowns provide the chance of electrocution for the novice attempting repair. In addition, you also have the novel chance of catching fire and burning to death during normal use.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: Other Uses for the Climbing Wall

The next couple of uses are rather minor but interesting. It takes dead space behind the wall to create but you can position it to make a modern paneled office cubicle look. It has an almost a futuristic feel. This could work in a high tech looking home as well.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: Other Uses for the Climbing Wall

If you pair it with a fountain pool and jets it creates a neat new water effect. (first picture) The reverse side of the object can be used for nook seating. (second picture) This works well for modern corporate style lobbies.

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: Other Uses for the Climbing Wall

The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: Other Uses for the Climbing Wall

However, this last use is the first thing that sprang to my mind. I’m using it as an addition to the Murkland Challenge created by Brennachan on the Sims Forums.  You can find the challenge rules and details here: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/910413/post-apocalyptic-murkland-the-starter-challenge/p1

I have created my own faction within the challenge. I call them the Burners Faction. They are gym rats that survived the cataclysm. Then, they took over the ruins of the Burners and Builders’ Gym in Oasis. Hence the origin of their name. (There is also a family name in the Challenge that is Burner.) The Faction uses the climbing walls as a partial barrier at the front of their compound. They also use them as a test for joining the faction. New members must climb the wall in an unbroken session to max their climbing skill. First avoiding death by exertion. Second avoiding it by electrocution. If it breaks down it’s their duty to repair it to continue the test. Lastly, they have to survive the final climb with the unit on fire.  If you can survive this one long session then you are ready to be a BURNER!  The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff: Other Uses for the Climbing Wall

I hope you enjoyed these ideas. If you come up with any others please feel free to share them below. You can share any comments and questions you have as well. Thanks for reading.

I used the Brennachan Build “What’s Left of the Gym” (modified for my play) in the picture above. The original build is found here: https://www.thesims.com/en_GB/gallery/747C651EE5B411E689A37CC7D57F72DD?category=lots&searchtype=hashtag&sortby=downloads&time=all&searchquery=murkland&max=50&maxis=false

The Burner’s Faction Compound figures currently in my Twitch series.  My sim Reg is raising his son during a trip around the world in their Airship RM Cascadian. They visit the compound for a week when the Burners are still preppers waiting for the end of the world. Origin Raises The Sims 4 Base Game + Pack Prices in UK

32

UPDATE: We received an official response from EA regarding the recent price changes of The Sims 4 games in the UK:

Periodically, we update prices on our games due to currency fluctuations and regional market changes.  With the significant decline of the British Pound Sterling against other currencies including the U.S. Dollar and The Euro, as well as other market factors, we are increasing our UK wholesale pricing for EA console and PC titles this year, which will in turn increase our UK Recommended Retail prices.  UK Recommended Retail prices for new releases this year will increase by £5 for Standard Editions and £10 for Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions, and some existing EA console and PC titles will increase by a range of £2 to £5 beginning in July.

For some odd reason the prices of expansion packs and selected game packs on Origin have gone up in the United Kingdom.  The standard edition of The Sims 4 is now listed as £49.99 and bundles are now listed as £44.99 on Origin.

Expansion Packs like City Living, Get Together and Get To Work are now priced at £34.99 (originally £29.99)

Also the following Game Packs Vampires, Dine Out, Spa Day and Outdoor Retreat are now priced at £17.99 (originally £14.99). The new Parenthood Game Pack is still priced at £14.99.

The good news is Stuff Packs seem to have remained unchanged in price and are still £7.99.

SimGuruGraham has shared a new concept art piece of an object that’ll be featured in The Sims 4 Eco Living.

I thought you’d enjoy seeing how this object guide is shaping up for us internally. I think you’ll see some of the painted wood colors shown in my image carry on throughout other objects in this pack that use similar wooden materials.
