The Sims 4 – Twitch Live Broadcast (04/11/14)
Update: The Sims DE confirmed that this Live Broadcast will be all about the Pools update!
The Sims Team is hosting a special Live Broadcast on Twitch this Tuesday! They didn’t confirm what the broadcast will be about, but we’re pretty sure it’s about Pools making a return in The Sims 4!
As always, we’ll stream the broadcast here on Sims Community as well!

The Sims 4 Tutorial: Preparing your Game for a New Update
Patches for The Sims 4 release for about every month and not everyone manage to update their game successfully. This Tutorial is here to help you prevent issues when patching the game.
The first step you must take to prepare your game for a new patch is to disable automatic game updates. You can do so by opening Origin > Application Settings and deselecting the ”Automatically keep my games up to date”option under the Updates panel.
Now it’s time to do some cleaning in your The Sims 4 Save Game files. Usually cache files from previous versions of The Sims 4 interfere with the new version, causing it to either glitch, crash or prevent from loading your old saved games.

Removing Mods and Custom Content from the Mods folder is highly recommended! After you finish updating your game, you can put back all your Custom Content, but it’s recommended that you check is your Mod compatible with your new version of the game before restoring it into your Mods folder.
Now that you’ve followed all these steps you’re free to Update your game by right-clicking on The Sims 4 in Origin and selecting ”Update” or ”Check for Update”.
If your game crashes at startup and/or is unable to start, right click on The Sims 4 Box Art and select ”Repair Game”. If that doesn’t do the trick, post about your issue on EA’s Answer HQ Page and someone from EA or an experienced gamer will help you out.

The Sims 4 – Create A Style options are being ”looked into”
In an Ask a SimGuru forum thread on The Sims Official Forums, SimGuruHolms answered various types of questions, including one asking will we ever get more options to change colors or patterns in The Sims 4.
Note: just because this feature is being looked into doesn’t mean we’ll actually get this feature. Time will only tell…
chealsycat:As for the color wheel I’d like to say that no matter how many variants of things we have, there’ll always be something we want to have in absolutely different color. And as it was said by someone before, I may want to change the colors of a pillow and a blanket separately.
I don’t speak about CAP – I know there were some problems with it. I just want to change the patterns we have in game with the color wheel. It’s been 11 years since The Sims Makin’ Magic hit the shelves and this The Sims 1 addition is still one of the best Halloween games to play! It comes with a Magic Town where you can learn new spells and become the most powerful wizard! It’s also full of Spooky features such as Bonehilda (skeleton maid), spooky rollercoasters, dragons, mummies and so much more!
Although this game is not available for purchase in retail stores or on Origin, you can still find it on Amazon and on eBay! (requires The Sims 1 Base Game)
2. The Sims 3 Supernatural & Seasons:
This combination matches perfectly for you to throw an ultimate Halloween event in The Sims 3! With 4 new types of creatures from Supernatural Expansion Pack and 4 new Seasons and Party Types from Seasons Expansion Pack, you can create the most awesome Costume Party with real life Werewolves, Zombies, Fairies and Vampires! The Sims 4’s latest Update lets your Sim experience the life of a Ghost, allowing you to prank other Sims in an unique way, haunt different objects and cause different types of chaos!
Ghost Scare interaction lets you scare other Sims. Some Sims will take it seriously while others will just have a good laugh.
As a Ghost, you can also Pass Through other Sims!
Let’s not forget that almost every object allows your Ghost Sim to possess it. More Sims possessing more Objects creates a spookier scene! Don’t do it in front of other Sims unless you want to spook them out.
There’s so much more to explore as a Ghost in The Sims 4! The cause of their death will unlock unique interactions. Also, each Emotion affect Ghosts as well, making them change their Color depending on it.

The Sims 4: November Update ”Coming Soon”
Update #2: SimGuruSarah confirmed that the Pool Update won’t be releasing this Saturday and Sunday (01/11 – 02/11).
We haven’t announced the exact date for Pools yet, but I will confirm it won’t be released on a Saturday or Sunday.
Update: Some of the SimGurus changed their Twitter Profile Pictures to the iconic ”Gnome Hero” yet again. The last time they updated their Profile Picture to this was 1 day before Ghosts update released on 1st of October.
The Sims Polska posted a photo on Facebook with a caption saying (roughly translated):
