Height Sliders, Sims Accents and more discovered in development for Project Rene.
Last week we reported about the first 2024 playtest leaks for The Sims: Project Rene hitting the internet. With the leaks predominantly covering the Mobile port of the game, many players were left wondering if “that’s it” for the game. Considering that the Project Rene playtest for mobile was focused heavily on completing XP tasks and earning in-game coins. Or at least that’s what the majority of the leaked screens were showing us.
Either way, it seems that The Sims Project Rene is taking a different approach of bringing unique features to The Sims. Things like Sims Voice Accents, Height Sliders and Downloading CC through The Gallery all sound wonderful to be honest.
And all of those features have been found directly in the new wave of leaked game files. Check it out!

The Sims: Project Rene Game File Leak Report
The latest leak report comes from Sarah Milani who shared some features that were found in The Sims: Project Rene’s internal game code. Here’s are the current discoveries, written in her words:
General Features Found
I may just wait another day, especially since i don’t want all this to get buried, but it has really made my expectations higher for Project Rene. They are working on realistic mobility aids (wheelchairs), CC downloading through gallery, very realistic fat distribution etc.
There’s also some REALLY cool concept art of the world in the files. a lot of this will be discussed more indepth by ant in a reddit post likely, including the individual datamined files. for now, here’s some concept art of sims in rene that apparently have a “storyline”.
Also, about microtransactions. it seems like they are handling it pretty *okay* for EA. “the hub” is a place you can optionally go to which is where all of that will be. i haven’t seen any references to ad popups that aren’t for the hub. Also there’s 10 DLCs planned (???)
Just to clear up some misconceptions, singleplayer is still part of this game. there’s a whole splash screen made for it. live mode also has a TON of traditional sims gameplay, a lot of which sims 4 doesn’t have to this day, but other sims games do in other ways.
Multiplayer is still a big thing part of this game however. there’s a call feature which is just what discord has, and you can invite friends into your neighborhood (save file). the playtest was for the hub, so im guessing thats the only mmo-ish part of this game.
Their names are Josie & Rachel by the way. they have some form of relation to a “Garage”, which also appears in other parts of the files. i first assumed this was for cars, but im not sure. the playtest sims also have a career attached to them: gardener, chef, student, poet.
Create A Sim Features
I mentioned this in a previous post, but this game does have height sliders and it also has accents for sims voices. Project Rene has something called a “Clothing Workshop”. this is create a style. it lets you piece together your own clothes and give them whatever material you like. You can also layer clothing in rene!
Instead of hundreds of dlcs adding new clothing, instead you are given a base for clothing. you can use a t-shirt, give it longer sleeves, a collar, turn it into a croptop, change the color and accessories on it, etc.
Here’s an exclusive screenshot of this located in the files, note that what you are seeing is early indev testing, the lighting isn’t baked and textures weren’t properly applied here. the outfit on the right was entirely made out of clothing parts and layering existing ones.
Sarah also shared with us an image of what appears to be Concept Art for The Sims: Project Rene’s new French world!
New Project Rene Features – Summarized
Just like the latest Project Rene playtest leak findings, this list will be everchanging and does not reflect final decisions regarding which feature will make the final product. The Sims Project Rene and its game aspects are still in development, but since these features have been found in the game’s file codes, it’s at least safe to say that EA is considering these.
The list of The Sims: Project Rene features mentioned above include:
Realistic Mobility Aids, such as Wheelchairs
Downloading Custom Content (CC) through The Gallery
Accents for Sims Voices
Realistic Fat Distribution of Sims Characters
10 DLCs for The Sims Project Rene found in The Sims Hub, although they could be placeholders
Single Player is Included, has a big splash screen in current Main Menu
“Ton of Traditional Gameplay”
Exclusive Features to Multiplayer, such as option to “Call” other Players
Ability to visit other Player’s Save File
Clothing Workshop in CAS: Allowing you to piece together and layer clothing however you want!
We have more to add to this list very soon – stay tuned!

Meet Will Dragoste and their letter introduction to The Sims 4 Life and Death!
There’s more to discover to the next Expansion Pack than the latest Teaser Trailer for The Sims 4 Life and Death. Select EA Creators were sent out a letter from The Sims Team over the past few days, containing Tarot Cards and a letter from a Sim called Will Dragoste. This Sim appears to be a new character introduced with this Expansion Pack, and from the look’s from the latest Teaser – they will be joined with a new World too.
The Sims 4 Life and Death: Lore Letter from Will
Sims creator LuniverSims shared photos of a special PR package they got from EA France. Containing three tarot cards and a letter from a new character introduced with The Sims 4 Life and Death.
Thanks to @CBXSims for providing a quick translation from French to English!
My Dearest Family,
I share this note and three tarot cards from my most treasured collection. These cards are carefully chosen, each one symbolizing a unique meaning that, in time, I hope will become clear.
My wish for you is simple: live a fulfilling life and keep our legacy alive. What many may deem as “the end,” I have now welcomed as a new beginning – a chance to write the chapters that I was unable to complete in this lifetime. When you feel the stirrings of change, let them guide you toward new horizons and deeper understandings. In those moments, I know you will be ready to…
Sims Creator @daniellebuilds has shared her cards that she received from EA. Including the letter which we transcribed and fixed from the original translation above!
There’s a heavy emphasis on keeping the story alive after your Sim passes away in the letter. Possibly suggesting at new features coming in the pack. The Sim in the center “La Force” card also seems to have an infinity symbol above them, possibly hinting at eternal life? I don’t know yet honestly, this pack is still sounding very confusing!
If you’re perhaps interested in the back cover of the Sims 4 Life and Death tarot cards, take a look. They’re just as beautiful and mysterious!

The Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Week 2 Unlocks (October 1st)
There are several new items included with this week’s Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event. The Week 2 has brought in 3 new items, and 3 Base Game rewards for your Sims to keep in their inventory.
Exclusive Event Rewards:
The Green Lady’s Lost Tome
Trade Goth Jeans
Starborn Freezer Bunny
Base Game Rewards:
Gardening Vol 2 Skill Book
Instant Hygiene Potion
Instant Fun Potion
The Green Lady’s Lost Tome
Once thought lost in the Von Haunt Estate fire of 1898, this treatise contains the secrets to making Ambrosia and appears to have been authored by Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot herself.
This new Book has special, dark smoke effect coming out of the book once your Sim picks up to read it. The purple gem on the book’s cover also glows when read!
According to the reveal of the Reaper’s Rewards Event, the new book also has additional gameplay features. “This Tome allows you to gain skills in Gardening, Cooking, and Fishing all at once!”
However, I hadn’t experienced any Skill upgrades reading this book. A glitch perhaps?
One of the players told us that the new Green Lady’s Lost Tome functions only upgrades from Level 4 to Level 8 of Cooking, Gourmet Cooking and Fishing. However, it does not improve the Gardening Skill as reported by EA officially.
I found out that it increases the Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, and Fishing skills from level 4 onwards until level 8. And yes, It increases the Gourmet Cooking skill, not Gardening.
This unisex pair of adult jeans come in seven different variants, including:
Starborn Freezer Bunny
A Freezer Boney from beyond our solar system. Its plastic frame shimmers with the vastness of a distant galaxy.
This Sims 4 Game event has been confirmed to be additionally fixed with today’s Sims 4 Patch drop. Should you encounter any issues, report them to EA AHQ!

To keep the players on their toes, they’ve also included an interesting Trailer Teaser for the ocassion, revealing a Sim underneath the Grim Reaper robe costume.
Considering that this is the first time we’re seeing an Active Sim wearing a Grim Reaper costume, is it safe to assume that Grim Reaper Active Career could be on the horizon with The Sims 4 Life and Death Expansion?

Fix for The Sims 4 Events is here in the latest Sims 4 Patch!

Installing the Latest Sims 4 Update
You can get the latest Sims 4 Update on the following official launchers and platforms:
You can download the latest Sims 4 Update by checking for a Patch through the EA App. Or Origin if you play on Mac. If you have Automatic Updates enabled the update will automatically download through your client program. In case your EA App is not working properly ensure you’ve cleared your app cache!
If you play The Sims 4 on Xbox Series X / S and Playstation 4 and 5 you can request a new update by checking for updates under The Sims 4 game in the Main Menu. If you’ve enabled automatic updates the Patch should download right away.
From the looks of the latest Sims 4 Patch size and bug fixes, it doesn’t seem like the update will have strong effect on CC and Mods. Players who have already updated their Sims 4 CC / Mods from the last Sims 4 Update should not worry about having to update again.

Bug Fixes & Updates
Happy At Home Event / Base Game
We changed how Event rewards are stored with our September 18 update. After this change, we learned that some Simmers are missing rewards they earned through the Happy At Home Event we ran earlier this year.
To make sure everyone gets the rewards they earned, we’re granting players across all platforms the Happy At Home Event rewards with today’s update.
All of the Happy At Home Event rewards will be added to the game permanently with this update for all players, with no action needed from you.
Build/Buy Mode:
Bullseye Dartboard
Casual Comfort Pillow
Compact Bar
Guerdon Goods Mini Fridge
Guerdon Goods Vending Machine
NanoCan 2.0
Create a Sim
Athleisure Wear
Night Sky Layered Necklace
Practice Makes Perfect Sim Trait
Serenity Hairstyle
We don’t expect this issue to impact the Reaper’s Rewards Event, as those rewards will be linked to your EA account rather than stored only on your device. We don’t plan on adding those rewards to the Base Game at a later date. The addition of the Happy At Home Event rewards with today’s update are a one-time make good to thank you for your patience as we continue to work on, and improve, Events in The Sims 4.
Reaper’s Rewards Event / Base Game

Make Dead Sims come Alive with this unique recipe!
The latest Reaper’s Rewards Live Event has brought many players to the importance of The Sims 4 Ambrosia recipe, and how powerful it actually is.
Losing a Sim in The Sims 4 can be quite hard, especially if you’re not ready to give up on their progress yet. This Sims 4 Ambrosia Guide will show you how a simple recipe can bring a Sim back from the dead – and extend their lifetime!
You’ll need a Sim who’s a master chef in both Gourmet and regular Cooking Skills, know its way around gardening and is ready to get their hands dirty fishing for Angelfish. Let’s begin!
Table of Contents
Introduction to Ambrosia in The Sims 4
What is Ambrosia? Described just like in real life Greek mythology as a “food of gods that bestows immortality” – the same case can be said for The Sims 4 Ambrosia. By eating this food recipe your Sim will be able to extend their age, and if they eat Ambrosia in the dead “Ghost” form, they’ll be brought back to life.
This Gourmet Cooking Level 10 Recipe has ingredients you won’t be able to get easily. Or order them online or from the menu. The game will encourage you to find the list of Ambrosia recipe ingredients yourself, including:
1 Angelfish
1 Potion of Youth
1 Death Flower
As the list of ingredients requires to you fish, graft, and spend satisfaction points, there’s additional recommendations of Skills we recommend you start working on:
The journey to crafting Sims 4 Ambrosia begins in a pond. Catching Angelfish won’t be too difficult, considering its rarity is marked as Uncommon.
There are several locations recommended to catch angelfish in The Sims 4 Base Game, including:
Willow Creek (Ponds and Lakes)
Oasis Springs (Everywhere but the Main Park)
Newcrest
Forgotten Grotto
If you have more The Sims 4 Packs installed, you’ll be able to catch Angelfish in these Sims 4 Worlds:
San Myshuno Main Park (City Living)
Brindleton Bay (Cats & Dogs)
Sulani (Island Living)
Fishing Pro Tip: use Frogs or Bass as bait when fishing for Angelfish!
Potion of Youth
Another rare ingredient required to make The Sims 4 Ambrosia recipe is the Potion of Youth. A potion exclusive to The Sims 4’s rewards store, for which you’ll need 1,500 Satisfaction Points to purchase it and have it ready in your Sim’s inventory.
Last step – getting the Death Flower!
The final ingredient required to make Ambrosia in The Sims 4 is the Death Flower. For which you have two ways of obtaining – one through Grafting in Base Game and the other method requiring Realm of Magic gamepack.
Grafting the Death Flower
As explained in our The Sims 4 Death Flower guide, there are several grafting combinations and steps you need to follow in order to graft a Death Flower, including:
Graft a Lily with a Snapdragon to produce an Orchid
Graft an Apple with a Cherry to produce a Pomegranate
Graft your Orchid with your Pomegranate to get the ultra rare Death Flower!
Death Flower can also be found very rarely by fishing or by opening up very rare seed packets.
Finding the Death Flower Seed
If you have The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack installed, a quick trip to Glimmerbrook’s Magic Realm will let you find more than you’re looking for. Besides the previously mentioned Angelfish, you’ll also find Death Flower seeds being offered at the Alchemy sale stand from time to time.
Prepare to have around 1,200 Simoelons in your inventory if you find the Death Flower seed listed!
Making the Ambrosia Recipe in The Sims 4
Now that you’ve collected all The Sims 4 Ambrosia ingredients, it’s time to start making this life altering recipe! Click on your Sim’s Fridge > Cook a Gourmet Meal… > Ambrosia.
Before your Sim consumes Ambrosia, it’s important to know for who this recipe is exactly for:
For reviving Ghost Sims back to Life
If you want to make a Sim Ghost come to life using The Sims 4 Ambrosia recipe, you’ll need to have an active Ghost Sim in your Household, along with the recipe on the lot. Then, select the Ambrosia food and select “Eat”.
After eating the Ambrosia entirely, your Sim will return to the living Sim state before they died. Permanently!
Ambrosia for extending Life
If your Sims are not ready to age up and move on to the next life phase, you can use The Sims 4 Ambrosia recipe to revert any aging progress they might’ve made in their current life phase back to Day 1.
Additional Cheats
If you want to expedite the process of making Ambrosia in The Sims 4 there are several cheats that’ll help you speed up the process. Make sure you have testingcheats true enabled before trying any of these!
The following cheat will give you 1,500 Satisfaction Points needed to buy the Potion of Youth from the Rewards Store:
sims.give_satisfaction_points 1,500
These Cheats will help you max out all the skills required and recommended for making Ambrosia in the game:
stats.set_skill_level Major_GourmetCooking 10
stats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening 10
stats.set_skill_level Major_Fishing 10
Plus, The Gallery is your ultimate cheating palace! You can find Ambrosia as a Recipe (and its ingredients) by searching up the Recipe name in The Gallery’s “Rooms” section.

A new Gameplay Test for Project Rene has leaked the internet.
A couple of weeks ago EA and Maxis clearly took their stance on making a difference between the upcoming Project Rene release and that it won’t replace the current Sims experience with a sequel. Or in this case, won’t bring The Sims 5 into motion anytime soon.
Instead, The Sims Project Rene is explained as a companion game that will support all platforms, including HD (PC, Mac, Consoles) and Mobile (iOS, Android, Tablets). The goal of Project Rene is to introduce new customizable tools and have other players join you in building the world around them. Whether it’s through new Sims, Builds or unique gameplay interactions.
It was advertised a couple of weeks ago that Project Rene will go in Playtest through The Sims Labs. Plus, it seems The Sims Hub is getting ready to launch in different iterations soon on Mobile stores!
Table of Contents
Project Rene – 2024 Leak
Now, the leak that we’re going to discuss below has been first reported by DzXAant22 on Reddit. We want to clarify that all of these images are reported by them, and do not fall under our ownership.
It’s fair to note that The Sims Project Rene is still in playtesting stage through various game aspects, and the graphics and features are expected to evolve and get improved during the development line. Hopefully.
The details that you’re about to see below are only from the Mobile port of The Sims Project Rene, and do not contain details or information about the HD release or what it could be different.
Project Rene – Official Google Store Description
Explore a Parisian neighborhood full of unique activities and stylish rewards!
Welcome to The Sims Labs: The Hub! Pick your Sim – each a unique character with their own story – and join friends & other players to explore a vibrant Parisian neighborhood together. Claim new outfits from the Thrift Shop by working at the local café or by completing quests. Make your wishes come true at the plaza fountain, discover hidden collectibles, meet the locals, and more.
The Sims Labs games are prototype experiences focused on testing small chunks of larger game concepts. The features in this app do not necessarily represent the direction or content of any upcoming Sims game.
Official Screenshots
All of the information above about Project Rene has been captured through The Sims Labs: The Hub Google Play listing.
The player who reported about Project Rene and The Sims Hub’s first listing has also shared some first impressions and screenshots. Featuring details about what was allowed in the playtest, how focused it was on Live Mode and first gameplay experiences and more.
Take a look at the first preview below:
First Experience
The gameplay from this playtest is focused solely on a VERY small portion of the whole game. The elements such as build mode and owning your own apartments from the first playtest is completely absent from this build.
In this build, there is no Create a Sim. It was confirmed from a developer that it is coming in a future playtest. You are able to pick from 4 preset Sims (Shown below in the screenshots section). There are also no preset names for these Sims. There was one Sim I managed to glitch into that DID have a preset name “Rory”. This character is not obtainable legitimately.
Once your Sim is picked, the game will immediately display some initial quests to get you started. These quests change daily. The main gameplay of this build has you working at a cafe with other players. Once you start working, NPC sims will start coming in and sitting down. Somebody has to take their order and it will display a bubble above their heads showing what item they want. Then, you or another player has to go and collect those items. They can choose from Coffee, Espresso, or Croissant. They cannot choose more than one item at this time (eg. Croissant + Coffee). This is the main way to earn money in this build, and it can get very repetitive and grindy after a while. Especially since the jobs don’t give you that much simoleons. The other way to make simoleons is just by levelling up. You can earn XP from wishing at the fountain, talking to sims, or completing quests, or working at the cafe. There were only 5 levels to obtain during this test, each one giving Simoleons or a new name badge.
You can spend those hard earned simoleons at the Clothing shop. You cannot customize your outfit, and are forced to choose between 5 preset outfits (Shown in better detail in the screenshots section). I am NOT sure at the moment if these outfits are different depending on which character you chose during the introduction, and there is no way to reset your Sim at the moment to choose a different character, so this is all I can show at the moment.
Another image from Project Rene has surfaced the web, this time in high quality. From the looks of Shadows and Lighting this could be an in-game screenshot from the PC prototype, although we can’t confirm anything definitely yet.
Since the Project Rene Sims Spin-Off is still in early development, it’s worth noting that these images definitely do not represent the final gameplay or what the bigger picture of this game could be.
There’s even a report on Twitter in regards to the playtest game files, claiming that there are references to Height Sliders, Base Game Pets and more.
the files of the new playtest also mention height slider, advanced cas, and base game pets. ill make a full scale datamine post soon.
There’s obviously a lot of areas where The Sims: Project Rene could improve upon by looking at these screens. However, it might be too early to critic something that’s still in its prototype development phase.
Still, I think that it’s fair to share that I really hope this doesn’t turn into another The Sims Mobile experience. Sure, the previews we’ve gotten here are exclusively from the Mobile playtest of Project Rene, but still there are some worrysome details if you look closer in the interface. That seem to be affected across all potential release platforms.
The whole quest system, XP points and “virtual currency” bring more speculation about The Sims approaching a Fortnite model of video games with this spin-off. We’ve already gotten a confirmation that The Sims Project Rene will be a free-to-play game. Looking at the images from this gameplay test it seems that they’re already integrating this freemium approach into core aspects of the game’s identity. And I don’t like it that much.
The Sims 4 is getting its full attention with the announcement of a new DLC Type called Creator Kits. Plus, the reveal of The Sims 4 Life and Death Expansion Pack is just around the corner!
There’s more releases for The Sims Franchise down the line along with Project Rene, including MySims for Nintendo Switch and The Sims: Project Stories. Which seems to be another Mobile release, focusing to “be a platform for creating and sharing stories in The Sims Universe”.
What are your thoughts on the latest wave of The Sims Project Rene screenshots and features? Would you like to participate in any of these gameplay features yourself or is it a skip for you?
Plus, Season 1 reward objects from The Sims 4 Live Event are coming for everyone!
The Sims Team has addressed some issues regarding certain bugs that players have encountered after the latest Sims 4 Patch. Including
On September 18th, EA released an update for the Base Game that removed certain player’s progress on the Happy At Home Live Event. Which was the first Season and in-game reward event introduced to the Base Game.
Unlike the current Reaper’s Rewards Event which has its mechanisms more fine-tuned to require players to play through feature experiences in Live Mode, the Happy At Home Event required players to only Login into the game for several consecutive days. All in favor of winning free items that are exclusive to the players and theirs to keep if completed.
The mechanisms behind the scenes of this first Live Event were weird, considering that players had to keep a backup file on PC / Mac since all the progress from the live event is storaged in a UserSettings.ini file. An Online Live Event with local storaging of process didn’t make much sense, and EA thankfully confirmed that Reaper’s Rewards Season 2 Live Event is all storaged directly from EA account information. No more need for those backups!
Small Sims 4 Patch for Next Week
Beginning September 30th, 2024 you should expect a new Sims 4 Patch to be released across PC, Mac and Xbox and Playstation platforms. This update is not only an emergency update to fix current Reaper’s Rewards Event bugs, but also an unlock of all the Season 1 Live Event objects. People who didn’t participate in the Happy At Home Event and / or came across issues while playing it will have all the CAS items, Build Objects and a new Trait waiting for them in Base Game.
Read the official statement about the upcoming Sims 4 Patch below:
We are working on releasing a small patch early next week that addresses player reports regarding the Reaper’s Rewards Event & missing items from the Happy-at-Home Event. We appreciate your patience & continued reporting to Answer HQ, with more details to follow next week.
The current event system now links all claimed rewards to your EA account to ensure players do not risk losing their progress or rewards in the future. To resolve the missing items from the Happy-at-Home event, we’ll be adding the event rewards to the base game across platforms.
There you have it! Players of The Sims 4 on all platforms should expect a new Sims 4 Patch to drop early next week, either Monday or Tuesday to see long awaited fixes for the Reaper’s Rewards Event. Plus, everyone’s getting their hands into the Happy at Home Login Event features!
It’s expected that major Mods and CC should not be causing conflict with the upcoming Sims 4 Patch, but make sure you keep your game backed up and running healthy!

The Sims 4 Gallery Spotlight: Storybook Nursery Rooms
If your Sims are expecting a bundle of joy soon, you’re going to need a room to put them in! Let’s take a look at some sweet nurseries built with the latest Kit release.
Tiny Ring Master
by CIMTHABESTB247
This nursery is circus themed with fun uses of bright red’s, muted blue’s and lots of toys for a little toddler to enjoy! This room has everything a new addition to the household would need, such as a changing table and a crib that are both from the Storybook Nursery Kit.
This dreamy nursery is a beautiful addition for your baby and leaves room to grow! The room features a little nook for a toddler to sleep and a large dollhouse that’s perfect for playtime. The soft blue’s and yellow throughout the room compliments each other perfectly.
Who says a nursery has to be pastels? A warm, forest vibe with dark greens and black makes the perfect nursery for the Sim who dares to be different. The aesthetic of this room is absolutely *chefs kiss* and even adds a built in bookcase and cozy chair for your Sim to snuggle up on and read to their child.
This twins nursery looks like something out of a fairytale! The vintage styling and soft colors brings a certain harmony to the chaos of having twin infants. The room is big enough for them to grow together and replace the cribs with toddler beds. I love the llama bedside lamp!
This charming, gothic styled nursery has everything a growing nooboo needs, including a stylish crib, a playmat for tummy time and a changing table. The matching patterns across the room creates symmetry and just looks beautiful! The pops of red also compliment the room well. This would be the perfect nursery for a little vampire infant.
Creative Sims always need a little nook to let out their inner artist, so let’s see what some talented decorators came up with using the latest Kit objects!
Arts And Plants Studio
by SarahLaCroix
This room combines the best aspects from the Artist Studio Kit as well as the Blooming Rooms Kit. This artist studio represents not only the Sims love for painting and creativity, but also for plant life and features large windows for your Sim to get inspiration from for their next artistic endeavour.
The loft vibes are very strong with this one, with large windows, exposed brick and cement flooring. It’s the perfect room for a struggling artist trying to make it big – or perhaps they already have and just want to stay humble!
Creating art can sometimes get messy and this room really nails it! If your Sim is the opposite of a perfectionist, they’ll feel right at home in this artist studio. The splattered paint on the floor is an art piece in itself.
Some of the best artists had their beginnings in a garage and this room is perfect for your up-and-coming artistic Sim! With plenty of space to store paint cans and other goodies, your Sim can paint or woodwork to their heart’s content in here and one day get to say that they, too, started off in a humble garage.
Having a space where the community can come together to dabble in the arts is important – and this Community Art Class is the perfect space. There’s a crafty nook for Sims of all ages, so bring the whole family and have an arts and crafts day!
Krafton’s life simulator shares a statement on AI features and how they work.
The announcement of InZOI, a new life simulation game developed by studio Krafton has been met with majorly positive reception. With a few critical questions regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the game’s AI features being used in the game. Raising concerns if any of the assets generated through the AI tools are ethical and copyright free.
In case you don’t know, InZOI’s in-game tools are charged with AI Features. For example, through the software you’ll be able to add (or generate) prints, as well as add images of objects to generate an in-game 3D Object Model. The game’s Build Mode lets you place these objects, which for now seem to only serve a decorative purpose.
Statement on InZOI AI Features
There are more AI Features along regular ones being added to InZOI eventually. The Krafton team shared a public statement regarding their features and how they work. Including a confirmation that new AI Features will be trained using only Krafton’s current engine models and information database.
Read the full statement below:
We have seen that there are some discussions regarding the Generative AI feature used in inZOI. We would like to inform you that inZOI is addressing AI features as follows.
All AI features within inZOI utilize proprietary models developed by KRAFTON and are trained using solely company-owned and copyright issue-free assets and data.
In addition, inZOI’s AI capabilities are built in to the client as on-device solutions and therefore do not make communications online with external servers. We deeply appreciate your valuable feedback, and we will make every effort to prevent any potential issues in the future.
Player Concerns
Although many future InZOI players have been reassured, some raised more valid questions on if a statement like this is even true. One player pointed out that the InZOI Character Demo already had an engine for AI Stable Diffusion. Although it hasn’t been activated in the live version of the game.
Another player has pointed that the game *does* in fact have Stable Diffusion as one of the main AI features activated in InZOI. Stating that players were able to generate AI patterns of copyrighted material.
In this case, Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. At least in Disney’s IP defense these look like total AI slum. Let’s hope that gets removed in time soon!
Is Krafton really using Stable Diffusion behind the scenes? We hope that these features are only a result of work in progress game development. And that prompt-based generation that rehashes content across the game’s server is not an option in the game’s full release.
AI Features in The Sims 4
InZOI won’t be the only life simulation video game embracing the AI Features trend. EA has announced last week that they’ll be upgrading The Sims 4, supercharging it with AI Features and capabilities through The Sims Hub.
The Sims Team is also opening the doors for innovative tools and sharing your user data for better model training of their product. From image searches for Gallery creations like Celebrity Sims and Houses to generating 3D objects and converting them to other games.
The AI Features from The Sims Hub will extend through the entire Sims Franchise. Not just The Sims 4.
Future of InZOI
The AI Features are just a small bite of the entire cake that InZOI is. This life simulation goes beyond quick AI tools and provides for tactile character creation and building options without having to resort to AI features. For the time being, and for the safety of the entire InZOI player community, we hope that these features like Stable Diffusion and cheap generative models will never make their appearance in the game.
InZOI is set to release on Windows PC first, with the current release window being set for 2024.

Thanks to the quick find by @SimViser, we have a first look at the new masculine CAS items coming with the pack. SimGuruNinja, who’s one of the developers working on The Sims 4 has shared the Teaser through his profile picture on Twitter. Quickly changing it back to current imagery of Grim Reapers.
It seems that The Sims 4 Life and Death will rock campy new fashion, although it’s really too early to judge by the single teaser we have now. We can confirm for now that the split-dyed hairstyle and top featured in the Sim profile pic are new!
The Sims 4 Life and Death Expansion Pack is getting its full reveal on October 3rd, 2024, with the full release set across platforms on October 31st, 2024. Learn more about the pack’s release!
What are your thoughts on the first Pack teaser? Join the discussion and stay tuned for more Sims 4 Life and Death updates!
A few days ago we reported about the official new game survey, asking players what they want to see next in future The Sims 4 Expansion Packs. The survey gained a lot of traction and even got featured on the game’s main menu for a few days.
The survey also included additional questions in regards to which main features of the game could be improved and added upon. Depending on the player’s vote, you could also help explain why you voted for a certain Sims 4 Pack idea in the survey.
Creator @BroBastii took a tough 15-hour road to create screenshots that could best visually describe the future Sims 4 Expansion Packs listed in the survey. Using game assets across the current DLC catalogue and occasionally Mods and CC to help bring these ideas to Sims 4 life.
Down below is the entire gallery of images for each individual Sims 4 Pack that’s been proposed in the survey. Including pack names, ideas and fun imagery that could all at this point be fictional until we know more about the survey’s results through upcoming product releases.
Let’s take a look at ideas and screens told by this Sims 4 player:
Ideas and screens by @BroBastii. Official Expansion Pack ideas by EA / Maxis.
The Sims 4 Ocean Life
Welcome to The Sims 4 Ocean Life! Basically what we all expected and wanted in Island Living…
Dive into a colorful ocean world filled with fun and adventure. Explore underwater landscapes, find hidden treasures, and meet diverse marine life. Build your dream property on the beach or open ocean, and create an aquarium with collected artifacts and aquatic life. Travel from unique ocean neighborhood location to discover each small town, meet the locals, and trade goods. Live on houseboats, fish from rowboats, or explore with submarines. With underwater and open water spaces, every dive and every sea-faring offers new discoveries.
The Sims 4 On The Road
The Sims 4 On The Road aka “Van Life” could finally give us the long awaited cars in a free Base Game update pre Pack!
Sims take life on the road with a customizable travel van, exploring picturesque destinations and engaging in meaningful experiences with locals from different worlds. Trade items, recipes, and stories from each location, then return to a world where Sims dream to retire to update your van and dive deeper into the mechanic career. Partake in whimsical misadventures with family or solo, and enjoy expanded elder activities during their golden years, enriching generational storytelling.
The Sims 4 Apocalypse
Are you ready to survive? The Sims 4 Apocalypse sounds super exciting and new. And maybe.. Zombies?
Traverse an uncharted, otherwordly extreme environment where civilization has collapsed and nature has reclaimed the remnants of a once-great city. Master adaptation skills to survive and thrive, from finding basic resources and creating makeshift shelters to creating homes for your team of Sims whom, with your unique skills combined, you will partner with to get through crumbling structures, overgrown streets, and hidden corners of a vast, post-apocalyptic landscape. The game blends exploration, survival, and strategy elements, introducing exotic pets, expanded fishing, and a survivalist career, and introduces a dynamic resource management based on availability.
The Sims 4 Prehistoric Marine Life
I got a little creative for this one, since it felt like a mix of Island Living, Jungle Adventure and the newly mentioned “Ocean Life”. So I thought.. “prehistoric and marine fossils”, “unique wildlife”? DINOSAURS! Or some other rare lifeform.
Journey with your Sims as they explore a newly discovered prehistoric landscape and join the exclusive Adventure Camp on the diverse coastal regions of Oceania Shores. Uncover rare prehistoric and marine fossils, new plant species, and document the unique wildlife and natural wonders of coastal and inland biomes. Customize and contribute to museums you curate that blend adventure and education, showcasing these incredible finds while inspiring visitors and creating activities for children that share the importance of conservation and adventure skills.
The Sims 4 Cyberpunk
Travel into the future in The Sims 4 Cyberpunk. This is my favorite! As a huge SciFi & Star Wars Fan, I really wish we had more futuristic worlds and features in this game. So get ready for your new cybernetic cosmetics and watch robots fight in this beautiful neon lit city!
Transport your Sims to a near-future vibrant cyberpunk world where they can explore a neon-lit gritty city advancing the latest Sims technology from enhance their bodies with cutting-edge cybernetics to homelife conveniences. As a human or robot Sim, dive into tech-focused hobbies and careers through underworld professions such as cybernetic cosmetics to robot fighting rings; discover relationships between humans bots, and everyone in between; and navigate the moral complexities of nature versus technology in this futuristic, whimsically dystopian world.
The Sims 4 Crime & Justice
More crime awaits you in The Sims 4 Crime & Justice! More crime & chaos for my game and a new big city world? HELL YES. That’s my type of Gameplay.
Choose your Sims’ path: become notorious criminals, revered law enforcers, or somewhere in between. Small-time crime like pickpocketing for grilled cheese can quickly escalate into high-stakes bank heists for rare jewels. From shady back alley deals to intense stakeouts, navigate the underbelly of a gritty city filled with gritty locations like pool halls and an unsavory cast of characters. Will your Sims rise to power as mafia bosses and con artists, uphold justice as crime-fighting heroes, or play both sides?
The Sims 4 Summercamp
The Sims 4 Summercamp feels more like a Gamepack and especially like Outdoor Retreat to me, but the possibilities of new hobbies and activities is always great. I chose Archery & surfing (but in the wild).
Embark on life-changing adventures where children discover new hobbies through recreation and exploration activities that shape their future interests. Create your own sleepaway camp with beaches, lakes, rivers, and pools, where kids can socialize, play, and learn new skills under the care of lifeguards, camp counselors, and babysitters. Dive into endless water activities, uncover camp myths, discover new creatures, make lasting friendships, and develop hobbies to share with the whole family.
The Sims 4 Retro Living
Oh the 80s. My favorite era in popculture. The looks, the aesthetic, just everything! The Sims 4 Retro Living (maybe?) is exactly what I need and want for a fresh save file. Malls? Arcades? So many possibilities!
Dive into a vibrant 80s/90s retro world with bustling mall venues and freelance careers. Hang out at the arcade, comic book store, gameboard café, and ramen shop. Enjoy classic activities like tabletop role-playing games, landline phones, and rollerblading. Be a babysitter, deliver newspapers, or be the beloved lifeguard at the community pool. Have a blast on the water slide and drink from the hose while reliving this vintage era through old-time objects, unique storylines, and unforgettable drama.
The Sims 4 Modern Monarchy
And for The Sims 4 Modern Monarchy… I couldn’t really think of much.
I guess you could have something like the celebrity system with perks, fans etc. But not sure what you would actually do in the game. Could be interesting tho!
Experience the grandeur and drama of modern monarchy as you build your Sims legacy in a culturally rich world. From managing high-rise estates and navigating political intrigue to customizing luxurious fashion and high-end living, this pack offers a unique blend of traditional and contemporary royal life. Forge alliances, engage in rivalries, and shape your destiny as you rise from commoner to beloved ruler or navigate the complexities of royal succession. Adopt exclusive pets, go shopping for luxury items and favors for your close-knit circle of trusted (and not-so-trusted) friends. Live the life of luxury, influence, and power, and create a legacy that will be remembered for generations.

Step by step walkthrough of all the game quests and rewards!
In case you haven’t noticed by the big advert popping up when launching The Sims 4, the Reaper’s Rewards Event is now active and available for play!
The second Season of The Sims 4 Live Events seems to be more polished and goes beyond just logging into your game and claiming rewards like in the previous Season. In the Second Season, you have to complete new quests that get unlocked each week through gameplay in Live Mode.
Completing each step in the Quest will earn you bits of new Event Points that you can use to spend at the Rewards Store. Each Week there’s new items to unlock as you progress through the event, and for this Week we have five reward items. 3 of which are unique for unlocking and attaining to your personal EA ID. Personally, I really hope the new Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event doesn’t lose your progress after a while like with the Happy at Home Login Event. Speaking of – The Sims Team did confirm that progress from the previous Event should be resolved in their upcoming Sims 4 bug fix updates. Stay tuned for more info on that!
This article will be updated regularly with new information at the start of each week on how to complete new week’s quests. Bookmark this article and stay up to date for 6 weeks of different in-game quests!
Table of Contents
Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event Quests
During each week, The Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event will present new quests that you can finish in Live Mode. Each quest requires you to do a set of different interactions (or perform new ones exclusive with the event). Completing each step in the quest will provide you with Event Points that you can use up on the Rewards Store.
Let’s see what each brings to this new live event:
Week 1 (September 24th – October 1st)
Pssttt…Hey, you…
Over the centuries, my memory has started to grow foggy. I’ve heard rumblings about a special dish called “Ambrosia” that could jeopardize my job.
Complete the Assistant to the Grim Reaper and A Call Away quests to help me understand it.
Assistant to the Grim Reaper
Ask 3 Sims about Ambrosia (35 Event Points) – Someone must know something about Ambrosia! Socialize with three Sims and select Ask about Ambrosia. Make sure your Sim has introduced themselves first!
Order a Starter Flower Seed Packet (25 Event Points) – Purchase a Starter seed packet from the Activities and Skills section in Build Mode, or use the Order interaction on a Computer.
Plant a Lily (25 Event Points) – Plant the Lily from the Starter flower seed packet. Hint: Plant it under a roof to ensure they are in season.
Plant a Snapdragon (25 Event Points) – Plant the Snapdragon from the Starter flower seed packet.
Research a plant (35 Event Points) – Getting the ingredients needed requires a green thumb. Reach level 2 in Gardening, select a plant, and Research it.
Research Ambrosia on your Phone, a Tablet, or a Computer (25 Event Points) – Research Ambrosia from the Home app on the Phone, or select the Research Ambrosia interaction on a Computer or Tablet.
A Call Away
Wait for the Ambrosia Society Newsletter (15 Event Points) – It’s coming! Wait for t he mail to get delivered or you can Expedite your mail from the Home app on your Phone.
I personally recommend that you Expedite the Mail Delivery if you don’t want to wait 24 Sim Hours for that next day delivery. It’s just 103 Simoleons!
Read the Ambrosia Society’s Newsletter (25 Event Points) – It’s here! Select your mailbox and Get Mail, then Select the Ambrosia Society’s Newsletter from your Sim’s inventory and read it.
Cook a recipe while level 3 or higher (35 Event Points) – You’ll need to know how to cook to make Ambrosia! Level up your cooking skill at the Fridge, Stove, or even a TV…then cook a recipe!
Buy The Grimophone (15 Event Points) – Claim The Grimophone reward from the Event and buy it from Build Mode in the Electronics category.
Summon the Grim Reaper (25 Event Points) – It’s time to meet the Grim Reaper. Select Summon the Grim Reaper from the Grimophone.
Meet or Socialize with the Grim Reaper (25 Event Points) – The Grim Reaper looks fairly friendly…Select the Grim Reaper and select an introduction or any social.
Ask the Spirits about Ambrosia (100 Event Points) – Select Ask the Spirits about Ambrosia on a Seance table.
This specific quest step in The Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event requires you to have The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack in order to finish it. “Coincidentally” it’s one of the highest-rated Quest step, so it seems that, in case you don’t have the 10 dollar Stuff Pack yet, EA is encuraging you to get it in order to complete the Quest experience.
Thankfully I do have the Stuff Pack, but I’m wondering how other Simmers might feel after being advertised with a free Event like this, only to discover that Simmers with extra DLC are in 100 Event point bigger advantage.
And that concludes the last, and second quest of this week!
Week 1 Event Rewards (September 24th)
Each The Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event week will unlock a set of different rewards that you can claim using Event Points. Some of the Event Points will even be encouraged to be spent through Event Quests, so hitting the max level bar should be done appropriately if you complete the quests each week.
Down below is an overview of all the rewards that we’ll be covering as they become available in the game. Starting with first week’s Sims 4 Event Rewards!
There are two sets of Rewards that you’ll be getting throughout the entire Reaper’s Rewards Event. The first set is gameplay items and powerups from the base game which we already have, while the second unlocks new gameplay and Build / CAS items. That are yours to keep forever after claiming each one throughout the event.
For the first week, here are the sets you get from Base Game powerups and objects:
Gardening Vol 1. Skill Book
Cooking Vol 1. Skill Book
Happy Potion
Energized Potion
All of these can be claimed in Live Mode directly to your Sim’s inventory.
And here are the exclusive Event Rewards for Week 1:
Original Freezer Boney
A supremely skeletal Freezer Boney. It would be much more terrifying to stumble upon one of these if they weren’t so darn cute.
The Grimophone
A supernatural sound system with a direct line to Grim himself, allowing his mortal acquintances to summon him day or night. It can also play your favorite tunes, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Scare Seeker Lot Challenge
There’s something in the air here that fills you with eldritch excitement, and attracts Sims looking for a ghoulishly good time.
Earrings of Imminent Demise
See the full gallery of new variants below!
Week 2
Finishing the Friends with Death Quest
Wait for the Ambrosia’s Society Newsletter (15 Event Points) – It’s coming! Wait for the mail to get delivered or you can Expedite your mail from the Home app on your Phone.
Read the Ambrosia Society’s Newsletter (25 Event Points) – It’s here! Select your mailbox and Get Mail, then Select the Ambrosia Society’s Newsletter from your Sim’s inventory and read it.
Cook a recipe while level 4 or higher (35 Event Points) – You’ll need to know how to cook to make Ambrosia! Level up your cooking skill at the Fridge, Stove, or even a TV…then cook a recipe!
Become Friends and Socialize with the Grim Reaper (35 Event Points) – The Grim Reaper could really use a friend. Use friendly interactions to improve your friendship with Grim.
To complete this quest step, simply keep chatting up the Grim Reaper until both of you officially become Friends.
The completion of the entire quest will reward you with additional Event Points that you can use at the Events UI menu.
Completing the Digging Holes Quest
Order a Starter Fruit Seed Packet (25 Event Points) – Continue growing your garden! Purchase a Starter Fruits seed packet from the Activities and Skills section in Build Mode, or use the Order interaction on a Computer.
Plant an Apple (25 Event Points) – Plant the Apple from the Starter Fruit Seed packet.
Plant a Cherry (25 Event Points) – Plant the Cherry fruit from the Starter Fruit Seed packet.
Fertilize 2 Plants (35 Event Points) – Fertilize your plants to increase their quality! Reach Gardening level 3, select a plant, and Fertilize it with a fish or fruit.
Fulfill an Aspiration Goal (35 Event Points) – Complete any Aspiration Goal. Open the Aspiration Panel to see your Sim’s goals or pick a new Aspiration!
Take a Cutting of a Plant (35 Event Points) – Reach Level 5 in Gardening and take a cutting of your Snapdragon or Lily. Your plant must grow to the mature stage for the Take Cutting interaction to be available.
Catch 3 Fish (35 Event Points) – Select a nearby fishing sign post to go Fishing. If the fish aren’t biting, try going to another fishing location!
This Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards step is pretty easy. Simply head to any fishing sign nearby and wait until you catch three fish!
Completing this quest will grant you additional Event Points that you can use at the Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards event menu.
Week 2 Rewards (October 1st)
There are several new items included with this week’s Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event. The Week 2 has brought in 3 new items, and 3 Base Game rewards for your Sims to keep in their inventory.

Trade Goth Jeans
Starborn Freezer Bunny
Base Game Rewards:
Gardening Vol 2 Skill Book

Trad Goth Jeans
This unisex pair of adult jeans come in seven different variants, including:
Starborn Freezer Bunny
A Freezer Boney from beyond our solar system. Its plastic frame shimmers with the vastness of a distant galaxy.

Our Review of The Artist Studio Kit
Just like all The Sims 4 Kits, the Artist Studio Kits is retailed at $4.99USD, or a price equivalent to your local currency. For those 5 dollars you get a set of both practical and decorative objects that are themed around messing up Sims artists’ studio rooms. Or just giving them more colors to get inspired from and paint their next masterpiece.
There isn’t really negative to note about the release of The Sims 4 Artist Studio Kit other than it gave me a really huge itch for an Artist Pack. That, as you can see yourself, is a bit too small for a DLC type like Kits to carry.
Other Kits that’ll go really well along with Sims 4 Artist Studio Kit is the Book Nook Kit, which would really embrace your Study Room in total and give it more inspiration.
