Height Sliders, Sims Accents and more discovered in development for Project Rene.
Last week we reported about the first 2024 playtest leaks for The Sims: Project Rene hitting the internet. With the leaks predominantly covering the Mobile port of the game, many players were left wondering if “that’s it” for the game. Considering that the Project Rene playtest for mobile was focused heavily on completing XP tasks and earning in-game coins. Or at least that’s what the majority of the leaked screens were showing us.
Either way, it seems that The Sims Project Rene is taking a different approach of bringing unique features to The Sims. Things like Sims Voice Accents, Height Sliders and Downloading CC through The Gallery all sound wonderful to be honest.
And all of those features have been found directly in the new wave of leaked game files. Check it out!

The Sims: Project Rene Game File Leak Report
The latest leak report comes from Sarah Milani who shared some features that were found in The Sims: Project Rene’s internal game code. Here’s are the current discoveries, written in her words:
General Features Found
I may just wait another day, especially since i don’t want all this to get buried, but it has really made my expectations higher for Project Rene. They are working on realistic mobility aids (wheelchairs), CC downloading through gallery, very realistic fat distribution etc.
There’s also some REALLY cool concept art of the world in the files. a lot of this will be discussed more indepth by ant in a reddit post likely, including the individual datamined files. for now, here’s some concept art of sims in rene that apparently have a “storyline”.
Also, about microtransactions. it seems like they are handling it pretty *okay* for EA. “the hub” is a place you can optionally go to which is where all of that will be. i haven’t seen any references to ad popups that aren’t for the hub. Also there’s 10 DLCs planned (???)
Just to clear up some misconceptions, singleplayer is still part of this game. there’s a whole splash screen made for it. live mode also has a TON of traditional sims gameplay, a lot of which sims 4 doesn’t have to this day, but other sims games do in other ways.
Multiplayer is still a big thing part of this game however. there’s a call feature which is just what discord has, and you can invite friends into your neighborhood (save file). the playtest was for the hub, so im guessing thats the only mmo-ish part of this game.
Their names are Josie & Rachel by the way. they have some form of relation to a “Garage”, which also appears in other parts of the files. i first assumed this was for cars, but im not sure. the playtest sims also have a career attached to them: gardener, chef, student, poet.
Create A Sim Features
I mentioned this in a previous post, but this game does have height sliders and it also has accents for sims voices. Project Rene has something called a “Clothing Workshop”. this is create a style. it lets you piece together your own clothes and give them whatever material you like. You can also layer clothing in rene!
Instead of hundreds of dlcs adding new clothing, instead you are given a base for clothing. you can use a t-shirt, give it longer sleeves, a collar, turn it into a croptop, change the color and accessories on it, etc.
Here’s an exclusive screenshot of this located in the files, note that what you are seeing is early indev testing, the lighting isn’t baked and textures weren’t properly applied here. the outfit on the right was entirely made out of clothing parts and layering existing ones.
Sarah also shared with us an image of what appears to be Concept Art for The Sims: Project Rene’s new French world!

Just like the latest Project Rene playtest leak findings, this list will be everchanging and does not reflect final decisions regarding which feature will make the final product.
