Just like the last when some major info about The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat Game Pack was leaked with the December Patch, this time some info about The Sims 4’s first Stuff Pack leaked with the May Patch.
We got a tip from @ti4goc about the hidden string found in the game files so we wanted to check it out ourselves using S4PE. This is what it says:
NEXT WEEK! Throw a luxurious party and add a touch of style to your Sims’ lives with The Sims 4 Luxury Party Stuff.
Found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > cachestr > spotlight.package
The Luxury Party Stuff pack is mentioned to be release next week, although we don’t certainly know for which week did they mean as this Gallery Slider hasn’t been published in-game yet.

Hmm. Interesting, I was kind of hoping for a game pack, but I guess more objects is welcomed.
So, one of the following:
1. Maybe the game have 3 types of DLC -expansions, game packs and staff packs. I found it quite unlikely. Everything we’ve seen before suggested there will be no paid staff packs (to name a few – free updates with content; support for modding which produces a lot of objects for free; 2 types of) DLC already).
2. Since the announce is in game files and not official, it could be just a mess of terms. Actually it could be a game pack – with additional party options, etc.
3. Finally, it could be a piece of free content. The list contains info on both paid and free updates, so there’s no way to tell for sure.
can this be a free pack? cause i hope lol
I don’t get the confusion and false hope. It’s a stuff pack. Like sims 2, and 3. Of course it won’t be free. Stuff packs have less than game packs, game packs have less than expansions. The sims 4 cash cards confirmed way back that stuff packs were still a thing.
Dlc wise, sims 4 isn’t that different from 3. They pretty much got rid of the sims 3 store and replaced it with game packs.
From the latest news “Maxis will continue to deliver great new content for The Sims 4, including another expansion pack, multiple game packs and additional game updates for the growing Sims 4 player community.”
Again, no mention for stuff packs.
I just hope they don’t put it out like Outdoor Retreat ,no disc download only , Not everyone can get it online!
They would make more money if they made it available to everyone,I wanted it.
