In today’s The Sims 4 Get Together announcement during EA Gamescom Press Conference, Rachel Franklin (@SimGuruRachel) mentioned how far The Sims 4 evolved and expanded in the last year. She then mentioned that that’s only the beginning, and that we should be expecting new ways to play in The Sims 4 every month. I assume that includes Stuff Packs, Game Packs, Expansion Packs and free updates.
…That’s just a few of the new things we’ve introduced in the past year, and we’re gonna keep on growing The Sims 4 and giving you more ways to play with life every month!
More exciting EPs, SPs and EPs per month.. That means I have to save more! xD
I am glad for new content every month. Hopefully there will be some amazing free patches.
This gets me so angry. It seems like they are finding more and more ways to take our money. These game packs and stuff packs are so ridiculous. These things could be put together in an expansion pack. Take for example the spa day pack. That could’ve been put into a Bon Voyage/World Adventures pack.
Anyways, I’ll still get the packs and I’m hoping that they will add more feature in game updates.
EA can’t take your money unless you are willingly spending your money on whatever they are offering. You can buy all packs, some packs or no packs at all.
Game packs and Stuff packs are more affordable. Also, if we had only EPs, we’d have content twice a year?
I think having monthly offers are nice, personally.
I hope that they are planning on a Pets expansion soon! I know it would take a lot of work to make it, but I would love to see horses and cats make a return! But also other animals too, perhaps farm animals?
I am ok with the smaller, cheaper packs, personally, since they actually add at least a little game play and the animations are so in depth. I had an idea for how they could actually please fans and corporate, though I’m loosing faith that they’ll ever do anything like this. The thought is a Sims 4: Family Life expansion pack. Before release, a free update would patch in toddlers with very basic functionality, similar to what they had in Sims 2 base game. This would please fans (like myself) who have been dying for this life stage and believe it should be free content. Then the expansion would please EA by strongly encouraging family play fans as well as non-family play fans to buy it by including:
a) lots of toddler content: clothes, hairstyles, play pens, rocking horses, toys that toddlers and children can play with together that increases multi-toddler/children interactivity, more feeding options for toddlers with high chairs (you could even do some other expansion tie ins like sims with high wellness skill could make their own baby food), changing tables, kidde pools, sprinklers to play in (which can also be used for kids and to water plants), little tricycles, etc.
b) more activities for children: ballet/hip hop dance lessons, merry go rounds, peer interactions (play tag, cops and robbers, hide and seek, play doctor), more toys, trampolines, slides, swings, pool slides, diving boards, bicycles, skateboards, etc.
c) more part-time jobs for teens and an education career for adults
e) PETS! and all that comes with that including interactions between children and pets and toddlers and pets and a veterinarian career
f) new trait: natural nurturer and skill: nurturing (applies to children & pets) Parents could become stressed or angry with children at first (unless they had certain traits) and as they had more positive interactions with them their nurturing skill would increase allowing more interactions to open up, skills to be taught to toddlers and children faster, and more positive emotions to come from those interactions.
i love how there is a lot of new stuff only problem is im always broke n hubby buys his new games before i get a chance to….
I’m not made of money, sims 4
Would Love To See The Toddlers Make A Comeback I Really Miss Being Able To Teach My Toddler To Walk And Talk And Potty Train Them And Even Reading To Them And I Do Think That This Should Be A Free Update To The Sims 4 ….As All Of Us Know Money Don’t Grow On Trees Be Kind To Those Who Are On A Fixed Income Once In Awhile….
