It may have taken them more than 8 years but they have finally did it! Team from Aspyr has just published an official Mac version of The Sims 2 Life Stories!
If you’re looking to spend some quality, nostalgic time with this game, you can get it on the Mac App Store for $19,99.
If you were just thinking, “Gee, I sure wish there were some more Sims games on the Mac App Store,” then we have some very good news for you: The Sims 2 Life Stories is now available!
Formerly known as The Sims Life Stories back in the medieval days of brick and mortar stores and disk drives, The Sims 2 Life Stories has been fully updated to work on modern Mac hardware and OSes. In addition, there have been a few additional tweaks to the game, including support for HD resolutions like 4k and Retina, a new renderer for improved performance, gesture support, and various bug fixes and tweaks.
For those unfamiliar with Life Stories, it’s similar to any other typical game of The Sims, in that you’re free to guide your sim in however you see fit. It has a Classic open-ended mode, but it also features a Story mode (hence the title) that will have you navigating various sims through the game to reach specific goals. It’s a pretty great way to introduce yourself to the series if you’re new.
The Sims 2 Life Stories is exclusive to the Mac App Store and can be purchased for $19.99. If you have any questions about the game, be sure to check out our posted FAQto learn more. Also note that, while most modern Macs should be able to play the game without any trouble, the system requirements have been increased since the aforementioned disk days; you can visit the game’s product page to use GameAgent’s Mac Match feature before purchasing to ensure you’ve got the necessary hardware.
