The Sims 4’s latest Update brought tons of new features! Now when you open up your game for the first time after updating The Sims 4, all your Mods / Custom Content that you may have installed in your Mods folder will automatically disable!

TS4_x64 2015-12-04 19-40-19-30

To re-enable all your Mods and Custom Content, select the Settings option in the Menu and select Settings. Under the ”Other” section you’ll find the ”Enable Custom Content and Mods” option. Check it and restart your game in order for it to take effect!

So….I got the mods disabled notice….I did what was said by turning it back on and restarting. Every time I started the game back up I got the same notice each time. Is there a way you guys can stop updating every week so that is no longer affected? Its frustating that I tore apart my entire system (taking the kids out of the folder moving them to another , putting them back into the folder and taking out the ones that don’t work) and I still get nothing. I know with the new expansion coming out is becoming a “big” deal but I will not be able to enjoy the game without my specific mods that make my game pop out. What can you suggest that my mods can get turned back on? This is so irritating.

I’m pretty mad about this. I enabled my CC again and my sims were STILL missing there custom content. I had to go back in and redo there clothes and makeup :/ and I couldnt re add custom skin of course.

I really hate this update. I have above 6GB of CC and suddenly my game WON’T START UP. I’m really mad at this bullshit crap of ‘disable’ blahblah thing. Just remove it already.

I’m currently in the process of reinstalling my entire game. I enabled my mods again, shut the game down, and I got a pop-up saying something was missing and I had to reinstall. If reinstalling doesn’t work, I’m gonna be really aggravated.
