The teen in the third picture is FOR SURE shorter than her mom!
No, she’s not. It looks like it! But the mom has her arm wrapped around her daughter’s shoulder, so the teen is crouching a bit. She also has her head at a slant, while the mother’s head is held higher. But if you compare the points that aren’t affected by the arm over the shoulder — breast height, waist height, hip height — you’ll see that they’re level. It’s just a trick of the eye, unfortunately! >_<
