The Sims 4 Seasons: Gameplay Trailer Overview

In case you haven’t seen it, The Sims team have released a Gameplay Trailer for The Sims 4 Seasons! Here’s a breakdown of everything covered in the trailer PLUS things we have noticed in the background.

Spring:

• Love Day encourages you to spend it with the one you love
• Roller Skating rotates in
• Easter Themed Event – Egg Hunting and Easter Bunny

Summer:

• Kiddie Pool needs Adult Supervision when being used by a Toddler
• Sims will feel the effect of the Suns heat

Autumn:

• Sims can rake leaves
• Play in Leaf Piles
• Harvestfest, cook a big dinner, call your family to the meal with a bell
• Halloween party, New Costumes
• Leaf Pile WooHoo

Winter:

• Decoration Boxes, Usable Object
• Toddlers and Up can Build Snowmen
• Snow Angels
• Snowball Fights
• You can slip on Ice
• Sims can Try to Guess what’s inside their Gifts
• New Outdoor Winterfest Tree
• Sims can Freeze and go Blue in the cold
• During Winterfest, you can give Gifts. By the looks of it, you can gift Simoleons, Prank Presents
• Father Winter will bring presents, even for adult Sims.
• Ice Skating and Figure Skating Outfit

Calendar

• Seasons are a week long
• The calendar shows the weather for that week
• Each Holidays Icon is represented on the calendar

Holidays

• You have 5 Objectives to complete during a Holiday
• Taking part in this Objectives will earn your Sim Satisfaction Points to spend in the Reward Store
• When making your own Holiday you can choose 5 ‘Traditions’ to do. You can also choose the decoration theme and if your Sims get a day off work/school.
• Some Traditions include Air Grievances, Bar-B-Que, Cleaning, Countdown to Midnight, Decorate, Give Flowers, Give Gifts, Invite Guests, Streaking, Water Fun!
• Like with Clubs, you can choose the Holidays Icon.

Other

• New Reward Traits (Cold Acclimation, Head Acclimation, Waterproof, Storm Chaser, Iceproof, Heatproof)
• Gardening Skill effects bouquet making
• Umbrellas can blow inside out
• Beekeeping activity
• Like Festivals areas will rotate out with the seasons (Spring: Roller Skating and Egg Hunt, Summer: Pool, Water Ballon Fights and Sprinklers, Winter: Ice Skating and Snowmen)

Build & Buy

• 4 post single bed
• Notice Board, looks interactable (Similar to the signs that can be found in City Living)
• Cup Cake Food Stand (That isn’t the one from City Living)
• Hot Chocolate Food Stand
• Lemonade Stand
• Apple Cider Stand
• Weather Controller
