The Sims 4 Seasons: What Holidays Are You Planning To Create?

7.5k Views

With yesterday’s Holidays gameplay trailer reveal we asked on our Twitter and Facebook page what holidays you are planning on creating in The Sims 4 Seasons. We’ve had a look through them and chose some of our favourite ones from the responses.

When we took to our Facebook page and asked the same question we had some more responses to a National Tea/Coffee appreciation day, Pool Parties and a Skate Party amongst many others. From what we already know there are going to be countless possibilities to make each holiday unique and stand out from others.

Also let us know if you have any more ideas for your own unique holidays for your Sims join in the conversation on Twitter, Facebook or in the comments below.

I want a day to remember and grieve your lost loved ones, a family appreciation day, a Spring Cleaning day, etc. I also noticed in the holidays trailer that decorating is one of the traditions we can incorporate into our custom holidays; a winter decorating holiday would be a lot of fun, I think, where the family comes together and decorates for the Winterfest.

I may change my mind when I get the actual game (because I don’t know what event activities are available), but here’s my list:

>Reading Day (spend the day reading outdoors or indoors by the fire, depending on the season)
>Love Your Kitty Day (or maybe just Love Your Pet Day–cuddle and play with your pets, or even the neighborhood strays)
>Death Day (invite a bunch of ghosts, and the Grim Reaper, if you know him)
>Play Games Day (just play a bunch of games, preferable group games)
>Enjoy the Outdoors Day (do anything fun that can be enjoyed outdoors)
>Play Hooky Day (take off work or school, just to have fun)
>Create Day (paint, sculpt, cook, write…do anything creative)
>Family Day (spend the day with family…play games, talk…just enjoy each other)
>House Warming Party (a little more traditional…for those who either just bought a house, upgraded or decorated it…gift giving would be a good party event)
>Memorial Service/Funeral (I don’t know if this is already in the game (because I rarely use the parties system) but it would be a good way to remember loved ones who have recently passed away)

and many others in a similar vein…these could all work in any season. I’m sure I’ll have an entirely different list, once I get the game, and play with it a little bit. I can hardly wait.
