The Sims Team has released a brand new blog talking about their brand redesign, the latest update and more coming down the line for The Sims 4’s fifth anniversary!
Hello, Simmers!
The Sims 4 has evolved and grown so much over the past few years, and is healthier than ever. We’re very committed to this passionate community and to welcoming new players. So, we’re excited to announce that The Sims 4 is getting a facelift with new cover art, Sims and outfits, and a brand-new Plumbob. We want to approach our fifth anniversary with a fresh paint job and we cannot wait to show you what’s coming next. In-game updates will come first to PC and Mac, followed by console next month. Check out some of the artwork you’ll see appearing in stores and online.
As you can see, the familiar blues and greens appear in different shapes and patterns across the packs. We’ll use these elements in many ways to bring a bright, bold statement to our Sims trailers, images, and the redesigned icons.
You will see the influence of this style in an updated main menu, where you can now view trailers and link directly to our official social channels. Plus, you’ll get a chance to create and play with the fresh cast of characters through Create A Sim and The Gallery.
We’re delighted to bring you this new look for The Sims 4 and want to thank you for being an important part of The Sims!

I got the update but it didnt fix any bugs.
I’m not surprised. At all. They haven’t fixed sh*t in any of the past 4-5 patches despite claiming so.
I don’t think it was meant to fix issues this time. I believe it’s more of a visual set of changes.
It’s true …PS4 sims4 bugs still exist. My Sims still take several long sim hours standing around after giving them a command.

The new colour design is terrible, all those neon colours looks awful
I think it looks great and I absolutely love the bold colors! And I think all these people above me can either stop playing sims or stfu
I really like it, and am glad people with little money for expansions and people with little money to buy a pc or Mac and the computer versions of the game also get to play the game better.
I do have to ask, when will the pride update come to Ps4?
DLC Suggestion: Hello Beloved sim devs , and fellow simmers!.
As I play sims ever since child hood , I noticed on the sims 4 however that there’s not many romance options for adults sims in game. The teen sims have more attractive romance behaviors then their older , more experienced counterparts. I was wondering if you can come out with a Romance DLC that expands upon the love between two sims , allowing for the adults to have more , sexier romance behaviors along with a relationship specialist job[s] , along with maybe a new romance island for lovers or even serial romantic sims in this ever growing universe!. Such things like threesomes , better sexier adult make out sessions , more flirtatious gestures for adults , like the “oops I dropped something ” gesture. Along with the DLC I was thinking new furniture as well that enduces flirtatious moodlets , as well as a bed that can encompass three sims at a time. Maybe a woohoo shower for those more “emersive players”. I know I’m asking for a lot , but I really think it would make the game funner to play. Like the couch can have a unique make out session . of course I’d like to add clothing and hair styles plus make up to this DLC , sexier clothing , oh and finally more default walk stylesand if course cheats . I hope all can agree to this suggestion , and I hope you guys consider it. Thanks for reading my lengthy suggestion.
