The Sims 4 Discover University comes with one new Knowledge aspiration: Academic. The Academic aspiration is focused on getting a higher education at university and will encourage your Sims to get good grades in university and do various university-related activities.
The aspiration is a good way for players to familiarize themselves with some of the new gameplay features of Discover University, but Sims do not need to have this aspiration to attend university or to explore any of the new features of Discover University.
Completing the Academic aspiration will grant your Sim the Higher Education trait.

I’m actually not a huge fan of the fact that this aspiration expects you to raise the skill before enrolling but I guess I kind of understand, lol, but
Thank you all for all of the great articles!

You don’t need to build the skill before enrolling. 🙂 You can enroll, then build the skill.

Having skills enables you to try for Distinguished degree or apply for skilled based scholarships. It’s not a requirement. There’s several ways to play as a student so sometimes not having skills can make things more challenging academically and financially.
What I found you can do if you dont get a lot of scholarships and you are poor, is take two classes first term and then use that time to get skills for new scholarships
How the heck do you enroll in college as a teen?? I couldn’t figure it out, I had to age up my sim before I could enroll

You can’t have Sims in University as teens. They have to be young adults or older. I imagine there will be a mod changing this eventually, but for now it’s only young adult through elder.

Hi does anyone else get game glitch in bugs and crashes on the console mainly xbox and ps4 players. Or am I the only one who gets them? Also why do sims seems drawn only to laptops or computers on the console? They stand around doing nothing or gravitate towards pics it sucks on console.
Has anyone else found that after contributing knowledge it isn’t registered by the aspiration? My Sim has done it 4 times know and it still remains unchecked… any clue what I’m doing wrong?

this happened to me (I tried to use the ui cheats mod to fix it that way but I think it unchecked itself when I switched lots?), but when I finished the other tasks the aspiration still registered as completed, so I’m not sure what’s up with it!

Yeah it seems like this aspiration is bugged. I had green checks throughout the entire aspirtion then I get to avid academic and it stops checking them off and all the previous task no longer have a green check mark. Tutor a student nothing, I have a max skill in research and debate and it doesnt count. I dont use mods so its obviously a glitch with the pack.
