If you’ve been looking to get into The Sims 3 or just update your collection, there’s no better time than the Black Friday Sale that’s happening right now over on Steam!
The entire collection of The Sims 3 Games is now 75% off! That’s right, this means that you can get these following games for very low prices such as:
- The Sims 3 Base Game ($10)
- The Sims 3 Expansion Packs ($10)
- The Sims 3 Stuff Packs ($5)
- The Sims 3 + Select Expansion Pack Bundles ($15)
If you never had a Steam account before and prefer having your collection over on Origin – don’t worry. You can simply create a new Steam account, make a purchase of The Sims 3 Games that you want and have them transferred over by doing the following:
- Make sure you haven’t installed The Sims 3 using the Steam client program. If you did, uninstall all The Sims 3 content that’s been installed through Steam.
- Go to thesims3.com and sign up / register using the same credentials that you’re using to log into Origin.
- Go to My Page > My Account > Register a Game and enter the serial codes that you’ve gotten from the Steam purchase(s).
- That’s it! Your Sims 3 game(s) will start appearing on your Origin account.
The Steam Black Friday Sale is live right now and will end on December 3rd, 2019.

when I tried to buy a sims 3 expansion on Steam, it wouldn’t let me because I didnt’ have the base game. Has this happened to anyone else?
happening to me too…
Hi Kat, all expansions and stuff packs require the base game to play. It should state in the description or requirements. 🙂
Yeah except that didn’t work. I registered 70s,80s, 90s stuff on the sims 3.com and it didn’t show up in my origin collection and the sims launcher is not functioning when i try to sign in.
