The Sims Team has released a brand new Update for The Sims 4 on Mac!
To download the latest version of The Sims 4, simply open your Origin program and if the game doesn’t update automatically, right-click on The Sims 4 and select ”Update”.
In case you have Mods or Custom Content, the game will automatically disable them for you after first launching The Sims 4 after the update. To re-enable all your Mods and Custom Content, select the Settings option in the Menu and select Settings. Under the”Other” section you’ll find the ”Enable Custom Content and Mods” option. Check it and restart your game in order for it to take effect!

We have a small but important update to address some critical issues for macOS players. Thank you for your reports and assistance in tracking down, and drawing awareness to these important issues.
- Players can once again launch The Sims 4 in their language preference when their choice is different from the Origin language options.
- Downloaded Packs are now correctly moved to their new location. Origin will no longer insist on reinstalling the packs. This means players won’t end up with two copies.
- A few stability improvements were made.
Additional Information:
If one of the workarounds from AnswersHQ was applied to get the game going last week, players don’t have to undo it. No additional action is necessary.

Since last pack it’s basically unbearable to play and that’s just base game installed, social is messed up, sim walking though walls, sims 3 all over again
I don’t know what they did last update but stuff is all messed up. My sims aren’t routing correctly, they stop doing tasks in the middle of them.. won’t ever take the dishes to the dishwasher.. wtf sims team

Booooo, EA is a multi million dollar corporation whom we keep (stupidly) buying product from. The don’t listen to consumer opinions and when they do, the update(like this one) fails miserably. You sound like worn out EA grunt, who has no say so but keep catching flack.
You guys need to patch get famous. Gigs don’t happen anymore, the time comes and no pop up happens asking if we want to join or send alone

Yea get famous is all messed cause you can’t go anywhere between the audition and the gig or the gig won’t happen!! Super annoying even my sim is quarantined!!!

I have sims 4 and OS windows 10…origin says I need to upgrade my OS?!……
Hello, is here somebody with advice please? My game today just stop exist! I play trought Game center but when i go on the game is there make your first sim. I really dont know what i can do is happen with this update :/
Glad for the updates but there’s still an issue with toddlers not finishing their meals unless you have them selected and have disabled free will. Even then it doesn’t always work
I’m stuck with the legacy game so all the packs I’ve purchased are useless, not happy!!!!
I am glad that an update is available after more or less 1 week. They are pretty fast !
Yea idk what happen now that I try to do my acting career I gmcan go to the audition but when it comes to acrmtually doing my gig I cant it counts down to 0 but I never get the option to go with him or send him alone u okay in xbox 1 x

When you get the gig after the audition you cannot leave the lot or go to CAS or build. It happened with the latest patch in early April.
Hey just a simmer who love the sims university dlc! When can we get online play with friends ! Thats all the sims needs is the ability to game with friends and explore their neighborhoods vice versa. You’d make a hit wit online sims
So, I’m not the only person dealing with a laggy game since the update. It’s almost like playing on the console. I love the game but it needs a debug update.

Also, some items were removed? The station that you upload content to sims media and also the stream bot they both are gone in my inventory.
Another issue that i’ve had is seeing everyones bubbles on the ground in your view from apts
I’ve recently tried downloading CC and I have Sims4 Origin do I put the Mods in the sims 4 mod folder or the sims 4 legacy folder or both? I’ve tried both of them and the mods wouldn’t work. If someone could please reply I’d be very appreciative 🙂
