The Sims Team has released a brand new update for The Sims 4 on PC, Mac and Console!
To download the latest version of The Sims 4, simply open your Origin program and if the game doesn’t update automatically, right-click on The Sims 4 and select ”Update.” For console players, your game should update automatically however if it doesn’t simply go into the game options and you will be able to update from there.
For PC and Mac users – In case you have Mods or Custom Content, the game will automatically disable them for you after first launching The Sims 4 after the update. To re-enable all your Mods and Custom Content, select the Settings option in the menu and select Settings. Under the” Other” section you’ll find the ”Enable Custom Content and Mods” option. Check it and restart your game in order for it to take effect!

Now onto the fixes:
Sims 4
- We have once again vanquished yet another villainous version of Error Code 134. This time it is Error Code 134:64b8a94a, distant cousin of the original Error Code 134.
- What is Error 134? Baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me… no more.
- Fixed an issue related to curvature points on Roofs. They should work better now.
- Controller layout screens have been updated to reflect the additional controls used in the Spark’d Challenges tabs in The Gallery. So many buttons, so much to see and do.
- Fixed an issue that generated an error message when submitting an item to Spark’d Challenges from Player’s catalog.
Cats & Dogs
- Retrained our good Doggos and Cattos so that they can eat also not on command. So they will no longer eat only when they are told. Give them all the treats anyway – they are such good bois and girls!
Eco Lifestyle
- Fixed an issue where NPC Sims would continuously steal objects from Lots without having the Kleptomaniac Trait. They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.
- Fixed an issue in ‘Green’ Lots that did not allow Aurora Borealis and other phenomena to display. I’m glad we fixed this, now enjoy what nature has to offer.
Dine Out
- Fixed an issue that made some drinks and food options be duplicated, or go missing, on restaurants’ menus. I’m all for more of everything, but this seemed a bit extreme, though double coffees… mmm coffee…
Nifty Knitting
- Fixed an issue that prevented PlayStation 4 and macOS players from applying the unlockbytag SP17 successfully. All the knits belong to you.
- Sims will no longer constantly knit autonomously. Ok now, we know knitting is wonderful, but there IS a thing like too much knitting. *distant chants of ‘That’s right!’*
Xbox One
- If you subscribe to EA Access you may notice the logo displayed on the pack information screens is now displayed as EA Play as part of a rebrand of EA’s subscription.

They need to fix the washing machine. I have to buy a new washing machine every other time because my dirty clothes is still dirty and won’t wash.

Yes!! When one of my sims died, and I was no longer able to prevent her cake making addiction, her ghost came in every night and baked anywhere from 5 to 15 cakes.. EVERY. DAMN. NIGHT.

My sims won’t clean up dirty dishes they just keep picking it up and putting it back down every once in a while they’ll take the dishes to the sink!

Mine do the same, usually stack all the dishes up and leave on the coffee tables. They also automatically stand at the fridge when they eat even with chairs close by. Sometimes they’ll sit and eat when I command other times they finish the meal before sitting.

I had to make an inaccessible basement on all of my public lots filled with lot requirements/duplicates of items just so that I wouldn’t have incomplete lots everywhere.
Fix the thing that when i exit the game and open again the sims all just standing up even when they where all asleep and its like 2 am !!! Annoying

Can you not fix the Dine Out bug of food not turning up? And the whole dine out experience takes 12 Sim hours?

Yes i agree the game cube is soooo annoying where do they come from!!! And your sims keep stealing there own stuff so when u go and do the recycling thing it comes up there.
Can they just fix gardening already? Plants revert to the “planted” state when you take care of them or harvest them. Fix trash cans filling up when we can’t take then to a junk yard because we do not own Eco Lifestyle.

I agree with the trash cans issue!! My sims always get the uncomfortable moodlet around their trash cans. I don’t own Eco Lifestyle, and the trash is overflowing, it’s very annoying.
Ok happy with the dine out update. For a while there I thought it was a mod causing that issue.

Love that they don’t knit every second of the day anymore, but what really bothers me is that the camera tripod from the Moschino accessory pack still doesn’t work. It’s not just me who has issues whit that and it’s really driving me nuts. I would like to make good photos of my sims again but I can’t. The one big reason I bought moschino was because of that. I really hope you can fix it soon.
Please fix the issue with sines freezing for five or more minutes and please stop sims using the grill without us commanding to as that’s an issue they keep making de stressing stuff and leaving it on the floor and sometimes I get random sims come and do it my visiting friends and family do it too continuously it’s freaking annoying me

Did they ever fix that issue in the detective career where the suspect never turned up on the lot they were meant to be on? Also did they fix the doctor career where the other npcs did stuff instead of nothing?

I started getting error code 0. Game refuses to save and delete all saves. I refuse to stop playing. I am a hardcore sims fan. I just need this fixed. Using Xbox 1 btw.

Not at all I just checked and massive patients with red hearts nurses just sitting down or talking doctors on analyze machines or computer all day without seeing 1patient smh
Something needs to change about eco living. My sims have like 20 plants but with the gardening nap it still doesn’t seem to be enough? Why are my sims bills going up when they have a garden?!

hello I don’t think plants are enough you need to upgrade some stuff like sinks and showers for the water saving thing and get the generators as well. And those bug things. But trash for bits and pieces also work.
Thank thank thank this update will be amazing i thought I was the only one with sims stealing my stuff from my house and even my sims stole from themselves! I even restarted my game thinking it was my game it’s self! Then the whole Knitting thing where you couldn’t keep the knitting in your Sims inventory they knit without eating also my sim refuses to finish a task and goes to the computer all the time!

Yes it’s so annoying!!! Sometimes will sit and eat once I use the command, other times they finish eating before sitting, blocking the fridge so other sims can’t get food.

I had a club gathering and by the end of it, every surface in my house was either covered with cakes, cake supplies on a cutting board, or cake mix in a bowl. Half the time when I tell my sim to make a salad they make cake instead. They are all so fat.
They also practice programming all the time and won’t stop, destroying their fun meter, help.
Every time I order my sims to clean up dishes they’ll pick them up then put them back down either right away or after picking up one other thing. It takes me a million tries before they finally make it to the sink, trash or dishwasher and they put their dirty dishes in random places like the trophy case and then can’t get them out. Am I the only one?
And thank god for the fixing of this stealing problem. I was always going to different lots to find my stuff then giving them the trait to return it. Please fix the cake baking next!!

Any one else have a problem with randoms sims coming into your home and baking cakes, even with your doors locked? I’m on xbox one and my game is so buggy it’s not even funny.
Are my Child Sims finally going to be able to gain adult skills or are we just going to keep on glossing over that issue?

I’ve had my child gain charisma skill after her social skills was maxed. I don’t think other skills are like this, however.
In on console, my sim is a Global Superstar and he is very often doing the ‘react in disgust’ action for no apparent reason, and it’s not the cause of a quirk.
It would make sense to remove it, because it’s just an annoyance.

I cannot agree more! Then they react with disgust towards their own family?!?! Even when they’re famous too?! The way the developers make fun of celebrities is pretty jacked up.

Please fix the continuous cake baking and stopping directed actions to do push-ups or other things. The massive amount of future cubes and clay inventory collections are annoying but the cake baking and inability to have sims carry out a given action fully makes it highly unpleasant to play. I have all game packs which makes it a waste of a lot of money when you can’t play as intended. I don’t have mods and have turned off the Eco Lifestyle options but this hasn’t helped. I was very much hoping this recent patch would fix these issues so I could play again. Pretty disappointing when I started to play and the first thing my sims did was bake cakes and then wouldn’t complete eating because they wanted to do something else. So had to stop playing practically immediately as there is no point in trying to manage sims under these conditions.

when will the decorations in build and buy mode be fixed. it always says I have new items but they DON’T show up no matter what I do. I’m tired of things being yellow, it’s confusing.

Since March I’ve been experiencing getting constantly kicked out of ea , gallery won t upload ,sims constantly baking cakes,lots not being replaced with the correct titles,constant fights, sims just walking into households without being invited every single time I try to use any!!! Expansion pack that consist of my son leaving home game closes on me I report every time nothing no email nothing I report on ea down sector still nothing I’m so frustrated I’ve been quartine since FEBUARY the month of my birthday can’t enjoy outside due to I’m a chronic asthmatic and cant afford to risk my health just for fun! When I pay for fun and getting inadequate service for awhile now which is sad while all of pc players is having fun with good connection , mods& etc us console players can barely play for atleast an hour straight without any hiccups or problems @ea @simscommunity

I hate it for you and for all of us that have invested money in this game with packs and such. I play on my PC and still have game-stopping glitch issues as many PC users are having. (See my comments further up) Hoping these issues aren’t being ignored and that a team is working diligently to sort this stuff out. Hope it happens soon.
How about fixing the Freelancer career? We’re supposed to be able to click on the created item(s) in the inventory and pick “submit for client approval,” yeah? But that option is never available, so my Sims have this thing sitting in their inventories, no way to get it to the client, and the deadline passes by. It’s incredibly frustrating.
I downloaded this patch and now when I go to actually play the game, the loading screen reads “Loading Tip Here” and then never leaves that screen….. I don’t know what I did, I really hope it fixes itself soon so that I can keep playing

Its abseloutely ridiculous and disgusting how long this has been put off and yet they can have all these little updates. Dont get me wrong Im sure it fixes annoying little things within the game, but why not focus on larger things that should have been taken cared of from the beginning before focausing on all these insignificant little things. It shouldnt have to be some type of political thing and you shouldnt have to get mods for you to be able to represent yourself and your family in a simulation game.

I keep having issue with Get to Work. When my doctor sim is late, or I opt 4 her to go alone , she won’t go. Even when I click go to work button on jobs menu. Also when I click on her and select Go to Work…it never shows up in queue 🙁

To everyone having problems with CONSTANT and autonomous cake baking, clay molding etc – I do feel like this is a NAP related bug and should definitely be addressed and fixed, however for now this can be resolved by either repealing active NAPs (can be done with cheats and clicking on the mailbox, either testingcheatsenabled true or MCCC, not sure atm) OR if you want to keep your NAPs active SimVasion and Magnetic South have brilliant mods which fix the issue. As a side note, this has been an issue for many players for months now and it can make the game nearly unplayable and I find it appalling that it hasn’t been fixed yet.
I’ve recently been having an issue whenever I have a sin make a phone call they receive the angry moodlet because of an off the grid lot. I know that my sim and the sim I am calling are not off the grid, has anyone else gotten this too?

My clothes and some hair cc crash my game completely. Script mods and things like skins and makeup work just fine. And its just not one or two cc items its all clothing CC.
My game buttons lately on Xbox have been not working after playing for long periods of time lb rb and left stick when you hold to toggle … Not sure of it’s cause of the update but the last two days it’s been really weird
