It’s time for a new Sims Community Challenge and this time we want you to take our Sims 4 Cosy Homes neighbourhood shell and turn it into a festive family neighbourhood!
We wanted to create a challenge that would incorporate gameplay features from the new The Sims 4 For Rent expansion pack by utilising the option of having multiple homes on one lot. Once finished it could also be used to think outside of the box when completing the challenge with our shell. Of course, owning the new expansion pack is not compulsory at all!

The Sims 4 Cosy Homes Challenge
Your challenge will be to take our Sims 4 Cosy Homes shell and turn it into a festive Winterfest Wonderland!
The aim of this Sims Community Challenge is to have fun and create the ultimate Mini Festive Winterfest Neighbourhood! There is a budget for this challenge, however, this is more of a guide. If you wish to go over the amount, that’s okay. We want players to push the boundaries and create their best festive renovations.
While the overall task for this The Sims 4 Cosy Homes challenge is straightforward, there are a handful of rules that will need to be followed.
Get to Know the Mini Neighbourhood

There are three homes in total on this lot in varying sizes. Essentially they have been created to be family homes however furnish them in a Winterfest theme, however you wish. Each of the three shells has been given a basic layout to give you an idea as to how they could look.
Keep in mind, how these homes could look when using the new features from The Sims 4 For Rent expansion pack too!

Challenge Guidelines
- Create the ultimate Cosy Winterfest Community
- Must be placed on any available 30×30 Lot you have free in your game and in any world
- $100,000 is the budget for this Sims 4 Cosy Homes Challenge. However, as stated, if you wish to go over that’s fine. Let your festive creativity run free!
Frequently Asked Questions
- You can use any packs that you currently own.
- T.O.O.L & DEBUG Objects are allowed
- Custom Content is not allowed
- This is aimed to be a multipurpose lot to be used in The Sims 4 For Rent Pack upon release
- You can not change the placement of the original internal. You may add extra walls/fences where needed. External walls are not allowed to be changed.
- You can change the fence style but not the placement.
- The Terrain Paint can be changed
- The placement of the Windows and Doors as well as the style can be changed.
- You may change the shape and style of the roofs used on the lot.
Note: If you do own The Sims 4 For Rent, feel free to utilise the new apartments feature to create even more homes within this small cosy neighbourhood!
