A recent announcement from The Sims Mobile team revealed some interesting news regarding in-game events in the future.
The Sims Mobile launched in 2018 and has seen various events and updates during this time. Many of the events have become ones that players loved. Events that have created conversations online and inspired different stories from the game. However, the team behind the mobile game wanted to share some news regarding the game going forward.

The Sims Mobile Update Announcement
Starting later this month on January 29th, 2024, there will be some changes. This Sims Mobile update will mean that the game will no longer see new in-game events added via game updates. Instead, players will be able to see a number of player-favourite events and festivals making a return.
Now, you may be wondering, why are they doing this? Well, as detailed in the announcement, its aim is to help players rediscover the best parts of The Sims Mobile.
Further through this Sims Mobile update, the team go on to reassure players that the servers are and will remain active with any status changes communicated in advance.
Additionally, they reminded players to check out The Sims 4 Base Game as well as The Sims Freeplay, both of which receive regular content updates.
It does appear that The Sims Mobile will still receive updates in regards to fixing any bugs or glitches just no new in-game events going forward.

Beginning on January 29, 2024, The Sims Mobile will no longer receive new events in our updates. Game updates will be focused on some of our most cherished, fan-favorite and exciting Festivals returning from the past, often with the ability to unlock new levels and brand new items. Past fan-favorite events will also be rerun, however no new events will be added to the game. This shift in content releases will allow for players to revisit and rediscover the very best of The Sims Mobile all over again. As you continue The Sims Mobile gameplay, please also note the following:
- The Sims Mobile servers will remain active and we will provide advance notice if anything changes with the status of our servers and/or the ability to purchase previously released content.

Information Regarding Festivals
Alongside the above Sims Mobile update, the announcement went on to detail more information regarding both upcoming and future in-game festivals/event reruns.
The first festival for The Sims Mobile in 2024 will be the Spring Forward Festival Pass! While this is a rerun of a previous event there will be new additions for new players and existing players. Additionally, there will be 10 new levels added where Sims can unlock five exciting new items.

The Sims Mobile January 29, 2024 Update
For our next update, we’ve got the return of the “Spring Forward” Festival Pass. This Rerun comes with new additions so both new and existing players have something to look forward to, including 10 new levels, through which your Sims can unlock five brand new items.
