Roughly a month into the early access phase of Paralives' launch, having released on May 25th 2026, the life simulation from indie company Paralives Studio has now reached a major milestone; 1 million copies sold! While millions of copies are standard for large studios and AAA Publishers, Paralives Studio initially had a goal of selling 100,000 copies, which was blown out of the water within the first ten days.

Just earlier this month, Paralives Studio founder Alex Massé appeared on Canadian Broadcast Channel LCN (Le Canal Nouvelles) to discuss the resounding success stemming from the release of the life simulation game, discussing that they had reached 900k copies and how exciting it was for the Quebec studio with a game taking so much inspiration from their home province and country.

On June 24th, 2026, Paralives Studio's official X account (@ParalivesGame), posted the announcement and provided insight into other milestones made since the game entered early access roughly a month ago, in late May 2026.

It looks like after the immense success and the growing workload created by such an active community, Paralives Studio is expanding! Shared via the official Paralives Studio linkedin page, three new senior positions have opened up and they actively recruiting French-speaking candidates available for hybrid work in the Montreal, Quebec, Canada area.

    I was looking forward to this milestone! Glad to see the genre’s fans uplift an indie game like this.

    They sold 1 million but how many of those copies were tested & returned? They never minus those figures from the total sale. Inzoi sold 1 million within the 1st week but both games lost most of their initial steam players within the 1st month (more than 70 percent). This is not to discourage or dislike them because at least they released the games unlike LBY, Vivaland & Midsummer studios. I hope they listen to players & have updates like Inzoi have done. At least the Sims has more competition & I hope there will be more.
