EA Releases A New Website For The Sims 4 Marketplace

Plus, the team reveals top five Maker Pack releases.

The 'Fortnification' of The Sims 4 isn't slowing down anytime soon. You can now browse every released DLC, including Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, Kits, and Maker Packs, through the new Sims 4 Marketplace website without even launching the game. Acting as a web version of the in-game Sims 4 Marketplace, the website lets players stay up to date with the latest releases, browse ongoing sales, and even purchase packs directly without opening the EA App.

So, if you've been looking for a more convenient way to keep track of the weekly Maker Pack releases, today is your lucky day. It certainly makes keeping up with new releases much easier.

What's new in The Sims 4 Marketplace Website?

The Sims 4 Marketplace web mirrors almost everything already available in the in-game Marketplace. Players can browse every Expansion Pack, Game Pack, Stuff Pack, Kit, and Maker Pack currently available for the game, with dedicated pages for each release featuring screenshots, descriptions, and purchase options.

If you decide to buy any content, you'll simply need to sign in with the same EA Account linked to your copy of The Sims 4. The purchasing process is virtually identical to using the EA App, with your new content automatically being added to your account once the transaction is complete. You can also switch between platforms, allowing you to purchase The Sims 4 content for PlayStation or Xbox directly from the website.

Beyond browsing DLC, the website also serves as a central hub for other Sims 4 resources. From the navigation bar, players can jump straight to The Sims 4 Gallery or visit the official News section to catch up on the latest game updates, patch notes, and announcements.

Ultimately, there isn't a major new feature exclusive to the website. Instead, EA has simply brought the existing Marketplace experience to a browser, making it quicker and more convenient to browse packs, check current sales, or purchase new content without launching either The Sims 4 or the EA App.

Alongside the Website Launch, EA Reveals the Most Downloaded Maker Packs

To celebrate the launch of the Sims 4 Marketplace website, EA has also revealed the five most downloaded Maker Packs so far. The selection showcases some of the community's favorite creations, spanning everything from Create-a-Sim to Build/Buy.

Does the Website Replace the EA App Across All Platforms?

Not quite. While the Sims 4 Marketplace website lets you browse and purchase DLC directly from your browser, you'll still need the EA App to download, install, and launch The Sims 4. In other words, the website acts as a more convenient storefront rather than a replacement for EA's desktop application.

During our testing, however, we noticed that the website doesn't seem to synchronize owned content perfectly. In my case, several Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Kits that are already linked to my EA Account were still displayed as available for purchase instead of being marked as owned. Interestingly, the Maker Packs I own were correctly recognized, suggesting that the synchronization isn't fully consistent yet.

Since the feature has only just launched, this is likely one of the small issues EA will iron out over time. If you're planning to use the Marketplace website to check which DLC you already own, it's worth double-checking your library in the EA App or other platforms until the synchronization becomes more reliable.

Stack & Save Is Also Available on the Website

Alongside the launch of the Sims 4 Marketplace Website, EA has also brought Stack & Save to the web version of the store. The system replaces the old Build Your Own Bundle feature. Instead of selecting one Expansion Pack, one Game Pack, and one Stuff Pack, you can now mix and match eligible packs in any combination while automatically unlocking larger discounts as you add more items to your cart.

The discount is applied automatically to every eligible pack in your cart, and the marketplace clearly displays how much you're saving on each individual purchase before checkout.

Eligible content includes most Expansion Packs, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs, while Kits, Creator Kits, Maker Packs, Moola, existing bundles, and other promotional offers are excluded from the promotion.
