It was announced last week that Lilsimsie would be hosting a livestream with US Representative Maxwell Frost, in an effort to raise awareness around the potentially harmful effects of the controversial EA buyout and what the community can do about it. When and Where to Watch the Livestream
The livestream will be hosted by Lilsimsie (Kayla) on her Twitch channel, and is hosted on behalf of the Players Alliance, an organisation that stands up to corporate greed and puts passion before profits. How Else Can We Support?
Players Alliance are also running a petition aimed at the US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, in hopes of communinacting public dissaproval to those who may be able to block the deal from going through. Over 47,000 signatures have been submitted at the time of writing, just a couple thousand short of their goal of 50,000 total. The petition letter to Scott Bessent:

I am not shaming anyone who wants to participate,but I feel like people need to be more realistic. I know some might feel like this is there last horay.This will not amount to much.
The biggest Ea buyout is leagal is dosent go againsts any laws or any codes.
The second issue is that player alliance does not have a case.Anti consumer practices are scams,information taking,and monopolise. Higher prices due to the buyout is not consindr anti consumer.
For them they need to explain why having Saudia Arabia buyout is security risk against the population.Which they currently dont have much a case for.But it would be more of a more fruitful argument.
Also the petition to me is also a bit more of let down.Due to the fact they didnt check who was signing. A good fraction of the signers are people who dont live in the usa. So if you send this to state treasuary. Why would he listen to a petition thats not even a small fraction of the usa population.Which has signers that are from other countries?I dont blame anyone who participate or sign this petition.Just like I said dont get your hopes up.
The mc is a sims partner. As are a bunch of the people going “all in” in the yt short announcing this. We really are not ok
