After the announcement of laundry gameplay coming to The Sims 4 Eco Living Stuff Pack, SimGuruGraham answered a few questions on Twitter and The Sims Forums, saying that there is a possibility that we might see functional ironing boards in this pack. Please note that, although the gameplay theme has been locked, the gameplay features have yet to be developed.
We’re considering it. It’s hard to say if it’ll fit yet – we’re focusing on the laundry items that were included in the survey first.

Also, the entire process of doing laundry may be different this time around. SimGuruGraham assured us to keep an open mind and influence the design process by giving feedback:

Something tells me that this pack is going to have a larger budget that other stuff packs.
It’ll be fan-requested so that might make the budget go up and it also depends on how much money the Pets expansion pack makes at Christmas time.
I hope we’re able to steal other sims clothes while they’re skinny dipping. It could be something included with the mischief skill.
In the settings of the Sims 4, can we have an option to turn off the laundry? In some gameplays it would just be an annoying and time consuming task that will distract us from what our goal with that family is so having the option to turn laundry on or off is great.
Also, can we have venues to do laundry in? Given that our Sims are constantly broke, they can’t always afford the machines therefore it would be a nice add-on and allow us to do all sorts and kinds of fun builds.
You could also make the laundry be like 4§ a load
In one of the other posts, it explains that it is an optional addition and your house only has to do laundry if you put washers and dryers on the lot. Also, there is going to be a washtub and clothesline for eco/budget concious sims!
Alright, but what happens if you delete those items? Do you stop having laundry?
