And by expert difficulty we surely mean The Sims 4 Console!
As many of us know, building on the console version of The Sims 4 can be difficult at times, especially if you are not overly familiar with the controls or just getting started, however, TKSims makes it look effortless with her builds!
TKSims, who is also known as Takumi, is a Simmer from Japan who creates beautiful builds on the PlayStation 4 version of The Sims 4. Looking through all of her different builds has, honestly, blown me away with just how wonderful they are!
One of Takumi’s most recent builds that really caught my attention was her Grandma’s House build. It felt and looked so realistic from the Speed Build and images that it is definitely somewhere I could see my own Sims living in my own game.
After watching the Speed Build for Grandma’s House, I went on to explore more of Takumi’s gorgeous creations.
With a number of her builds inspired by where she lives, it’s also very clear to see that she is passionate about showcasing aspects of Japan through her builds. You will also find that Takumi creates and explores a number of other build themes depending on the world that is being used.

The sheer amount of detail that Takumi adds to every single one of her builds is incredible. With just the Base Game and a variety of additional packs, it really shows just how much you can do on console without the use of Custom Content or Mods!
All of Takumi’s creations can be found on the Gallery under the Gallery ID of tksims__0oy, or by searching the hashtag tksims.
Make sure you keep up to date and check out more builds from TKSims over on Twitter and YouTube!
The Sims Team has shared two new screenshots showcasing the upcoming Kit for The Sims 4!
The new screenshot previews feature Bob and Eliza Pancakes rocking the new outfits from the upcoming The Sims 4 Moonlight Chic Kit.
As you can see, the major focus is on Eliza’s outfit. Bob is in the back. Hopefully because of his character, and not that there’s potentially only one masculine item with this pack compared to feminine items as per The Sims 4’s usual habit…
Your ultimate guide on earning (and spending) Satisfaction Points
What the heck are Sims 4 Satisfaction Points, you ask? Well, did you know your Sims aren’t limited to just 3 traits? Or that there are potions that can do everything from replenishing all their motives at once to even extending their lifespan? It’s true! How do you reap these rewards? By earning Sims 4 satisfaction points!
Table of Contents
How to Earn Sims 4 Satisfaction Points
Sims can earn Sims 4 satisfaction points four different ways:
Aspirations
Wants
Scenarios
Living in a Haunted House (Requires Paranormal Stuff pack)
Aspirations
Every time your Sim completes an aspiration goal, they’ll earn a number of Sims 4 satisfaction points. Completing an entire aspiration not only rewards you with an extra reward trait but you’ll also have earned anywhere between 3,000-4,000 Sims 4 satisfaction points over the course of completing the aspiration.
Wants
Wants (previously called Whims) are like wishes from The Sims 3 or wants from The Sims 2. They were disabled by default in a game update a few years ago but you can re-enable them in the Game Options. Once Wants are enabled, you’ll see thought bubbles above your Sim’s portrait. Hover over them to see what kinds of things they want and fulfill them to earn some extra Sims 4 satisfaction points.
You can lock in Wants you want to complete later by clicking on the pin icon next to them but you can’t delete Wants (unless you buy a potion with Sims 4 satisfaction points). The only ways to get rid of one are to complete it or wait for the game to replace it with a new one.
Scenarios
Scenarios are a great way to earn a lot of Sims 4 satisfaction points, sometimes with little to no effort depending on the difficulty level of the scenario. Just make sure you look at the potential rewards before you start one! Different scenarios have different rewards, so don’t pick a scenario that doesn’t reward you with Sims 4 satisfaction points if that’s what you’re after.
On the Main Menu, start a new scenario of your choice. If you want to challenge yourself, go for an Intermediate scenario. If you just want a quick and easy stack of Sims 4 satisfaction points, pick an Easy scenario. Some scenarios will net you up to 5,000 satisfaction points per Sim! That’s more than what you would typically get for completing an aspiration so it’s well worth your time to do some of those scenarios.
Haunted House
If you own the Paranormal Stuff pack, your Sims can live in a haunted house. For every night you survive in a haunted house, everyone in the household will earn 125 satisfaction points. You can earn even more per night by purchasing the cursed hand statue and setting the house to Heroic mode, which will net your Sims 250 points a night each.
It’s a good way to earn Sims 4 satisfaction points daily without really doing anything… as long as you don’t mind things that go bump in the night.
Rewards Store
So what do you do with all those Sims 4 satisfaction points? Spend them on rewards! Open up the Rewards Store by clicking the gift icon on your Sim’s aspiration panel. You can sort by Potions or Traits. Potions are one-time use and can be purchased multiple times. Traits are permanent and can only be purchased once per Sim. There are also a few other objects in the list but the vast majority of the rewards are either drinkable potions or permanent traits.

See how players Decorated to the Max in The Sims 4!
Our most recent Sims Community Challenge was all about decorating to the max! Inspired by the recently released The Sims 4 Décor to the Max Kit, the challenge was to furnish the pre-made shell we created by going all out.
We loved seeing how everyone furnished and decorated our shell and were blown away by how creative the community is!
Take a look at the images below to see how the community took our shell to the next level!
You can still download the challenge shell to furnish yourself by heading over to The Gallery. Simply search by using either SC Max Decor Shell or by using the Gallery ID LeeksEverywhere. Feel free to upload your completed shells to The Gallery for the community to see!

The Sims Team has been active on Twitter with new interesting facts about The Sims 4’s development!
With the announcement of The Sims 4’s Upcoming Kits, as well as the game’s Roadmap ahead, The Sims Team has opened up the conversation on Twitter with interesting facts about the game’s development.
Note that nothing much has been confirmed that we don’t know already, but it’s still fun to have insight on some of the information that the developers shared!
More Years Ahead for The Sims 4
SimGuruFrost, the Global Community Manager for The Sims has first shared the usual assurement that we get, at this point, on a yearly basis. Confirming that yes – The Sims 4 still has many more years ahead with new content planned for the game.
The almost annual assurement that “The Sims 4 has years of new content” stands since 2018, and it seems the Team is still confident in the game’s longevity.
NPC Refresh Update
It was confirmed back in August 2021 that The Sims Team will begin reworking the existing Households and NPC Characters throughout The Sims 4’s pre-made catalogue.
In late November we got a first look at some of the Work in Progress concepts for what type of Refresh they’re aiming for. The Concepts they provided are very early WIP:
The reactions from the community regarding the upcoming Refresh were…mixed to say the least.
Although there hasn’t been a firm update on the development of the NPC Refresh, SimGuruFrost shared some information on what’s going on behind the scenes with this update.
It’s a good thing that some of the community members were involved with feedback on the NPC Overhaul. Although we don’t have a firm date, SimGuruFrost reassured that it’s actively in development:
Def being worked on. We had a feedback session with a couple community members and their feedback was really positive!
It would be irresponsible of me to give a timeline just because game dev is so fluid, and we obviously want to make sure we do this NPC refresh right. Hope you understand!
Some questions have been answered regarding the upcoming Kits for The Sims 4. Specifically, there were many questions regarding the upcoming The Sims 4 Little Campers Kit that’s coming out next week.
Mostly regarding the new objects and their functionality.
Kits do not affect the production of other packs or BG updates.
The Audio and Simlish for one of The Sims 4’s upcoming Packs seems to be finished according to SimGuruGeorge!
The upcoming Game Pack for The Sims 4 releasing this Season could be related to this tweet. Although if it’s already ready to be announced and the alpha development was wrapped up, we could be looking at a tweet related to a potential other Pack coming for The Sims 4.
This is all pure speculation also from my end.
I was telling the Audio lead that I was hearing placeholder English voice over in the new pack. He assured me it was in Simlish.
I've been around toddlers so much I'm auto translating Simlish to English in my head.
The seventeen-piece, Base Game compatible collection comes with a variety of different new Create A Sim options for both Male and Female teen Sims. Additionally, each new item comes in a variety of different swatches, making it an incredibly versatile collection to create amazing looks for your Sims!
The collection itself is inspired by a number of themes that CAIO’s followers shared on Pinterest, and the Teenage Dreams Collection is the end result of the ideas shared.
After taking a look at the collection myself in-game, I couldn’t wait to create a few looks of my own using the Teenage Dreams collection!
I managed to create a number of different looks for my Teen Sims. The Teenage Dreams Collection works perfectly with so many existing Create A Sim items. The swatches, both standalone colour and patterned are versatile as well-meaning that the number of potential looks is endless to a degree.
For the looks I created, I mainly focused on using items from packs like The Sims 4 Discover University and Snowy Escape Expansion Packs as well as a number of Base Game items. I felt many of the items from the expansion packs and the Base Game would work well together for Teen Sims.
Overall I made around a dozen looks but narrowed down the looks that I created using CAIO’s Teenage Dreams Collection to six that I wanted to share!
The Teenage Dreams Collection is the perfect addition to The Sims 4 if you are looking for new and exciting Create A Sim options to level up your Teen Sims looks!
You can download the Custom Content Collection for free right now from CAIO’s Patreon.
An Origin Story Like No Other – made in The Sims 4!
It has been a year in the making however, the finale of the Bella Goth: REBORN is here!
If you are not sure what Bella Goth: REBORN is, it is the latest The Sims 4 machinima from Rémi Marocelli. Described as a movie about The Sims, broken into four parts, it will detail the origins of one of the games most famous Sims!
Bella Goth (Bachelor) is the daughter of Jocasta and Simis Bachelor. At 17 years old, the teenager sees her destiny turned upside down after meeting her first love, Mortimer Goth, a young geek who is giving her parents, Cornelia and Gunther Goth, a hard time! Indeed, our two heroes will meet a familiar character who will question the world around them, a world more dangerous than it seems… – Rémi
From the get go, you know that Bella Goth: REBORN will be one amazing adventure to watch! Through all four parts you’ll find moments where you are on the edge of your seat wanting more, moments where you’re finding yourself laughing or even crying and questioning what could happen next. You may even see a few familiar faces and even some references that Simmers both young and old will recognize!
Coming in at just over an hour and a half long, grab yourself some snacks, get comfortable and get ready to watch one of the biggest and most anticipated machinima’s of the year!
Don’t forget, you can watch the additional three parts of Bella Goth: REBORN over on Rémi’s YouTube! The creator has concluded the series with the last part that just recently went up on YouTube. A whooping 40 minutes concludes the 4-part REBORN Series!
The sheer amount of detail that has gone into every aspect of Bella Goth: REBORN is incredible. Be it the storyline, the creation of the machinima itself, choosing the accompanying music, editing, absolutely everything shows just how much you can do with The Sims 4. By pushing the boundaries of what you would initially expect from the game, it has given the community the masterpiece that is Bella Goth: REBORN!
Rémi and the team behind Bella Goth: REBORN have done an incredible job all together with the movie, and I’m sure many of us can’t wait to see what they create next!
Check out some of our favourite items coming with the Little Campers Kit!
Is it just me or were we starving for new content from The Sims Team? Well not anymore! Today we finally got some information on two new kits coming to the game later this month! The Moonlight Chic and Little Campers kits are both scheduled to drop on May 26th across all platforms and while I am certainly liking the look of Moonlight Chic so far, it is Little Campers that I can’t stop talking about!
As a family and generational player, that should be no surprise, of course, but let’s dive right into all the adorable new goodies we’ll be getting to help our kiddos have the coolest backyard campout all the kids at school will be talking about the rest of the school year!
Projector and Faerie Lights
I’m a sucker for faerie lights. Seriously, slap a string of faerie lights on just about anything and I want it. This is no exception but the projector itself is also super cool. I have fond memories of watching movies in the backyard on a bedsheet my parents strung up for me as a kid and having that little piece of my childhood in The Sims is just so heartwarming. I can’t wait to relive those days with my adorable kiddos in the game.
Cardboard Truck
It’s hard to make out just what type of object this cardboard truck is but it is beyond cute and I love that the headlights actually light up. I hope it’s some kind of toy for our kiddos to play with, or even a really inventive chair for them to relax in. Beep beep!
Floor Pillows
We have seen floor pillows in a couple other packs, like Movie Hangout Stuff and Toddler Stuff, both act as chairs. We hope these floor pillows will also be something our kids can sit on even though they are quite low to the ground. After all, our Sims can sit at kotatsu tables so why not these pillows?
Popup Storybook
This is most likely just decorative but I still think it’s an adorable touch to any kid’s bedroom or play room. The game is sorely lacking in child-themed decorations and furnishings.
Castle… Thing?
I’ve gotta be honest, I have absolutely no idea what that giant castle thing on some kind of surface is but I am very interested to find out! It looks adorable and fun and I really hope it’s not just a giant sculpture. It definitely looks like something that could be a toy or another object with some functionality to it.
Cat Radio
I know it’s just a regular radio but it’s SO cute, come on! A cute cat-themed radio is not something I ever thought I needed until now but now that I’ve seen it, I would die without it. What? No, I’m not being dramatic. Why would you even say that? I mean, look at it! Sheesh.
Lattice Swingset
This is probably the cutest swingset design I have ever seen in my life. The lattice frame, the cute little chair back with pillows, and… yes, the faerie lights strung all over it! To be perfectly honest, I don’t know if I’ll ever want to use the other two swingsets we have again after I get this one.
Blanket Tent
What kid hasn’t made a tent or a fort out of every blanket in the house? This is just absolutely precious and very much reminiscent of a lot of people’s childhoods. The stuffy guarding the top is such a sweet touch. Also. Faerie lights! Okay Snarky, we get it, you like faerie lights, move on, please…
Bigfoot Stuffed Animal
It’s been a while since our kids have gotten a new design for the giant stuffed animal that builds their Social and Communication skills so it’s nice to see a very cute Bigfoot variety coming with this kit. It very much fits the theme of a backyard campout for the little ones, too.
Smore Display
I’m sure this is another decorative item but I really love it. It’s something fun and unique that hasn’t really been done before in the game and if you’re a family player, it’s really going to enhance the look of your parties. Something like this would be perfect to have at a kid’s birthday party or any sort of fun, casual social event.
Firepit
This may not be that exciting for players with the Outdoor Retreat game pack but I still thought this object’s unique design was worth a mention. The taller rim is something more suited to a suburban backyard where firepit laws are quite strict, not to mention it’s much safer for the kids to enjoy. I also think the bigfoot and evergreen tree cutouts in the side are a really cute touch.
What are you most excited about? Anything else we didn’t mention catch your eye? Tell us in the comments!
In The Sims 4, completing all the collections can be a huge pain. It’s normal to have to put effort into completing collections. After all, it’s meant to be a challenging aspect of the game, but part of the challenge shouldn’t be just… hanging around in the same area for days, waiting for things to spawn. Currently, when you load an area for the first time, all harvestable collectibles start out in the seed stage; they’re just a plot of dirt in the ground. They need time to grow into mature plants that yield collectibles. This wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t stop the growing cycle while your Sims aren’t in the area. When you leave, they stop growing.
The result? Your Sims have to basically set up camp in an area waiting for days for some of the rarer collectibles to become harvestable. What’s more, other collectible spawners like rocks, logs, and insects take hours sometimes to appear.
Many players have complained about how unnecessarily tedious this whole process is and Carl agrees because he’s solved the problem for us! With the Collectibles Ready mod, all plants will load already in the blossoming stage and ready for harvesting! Other collectible spawners will only take a second or two to appear as well so your Sims can easily visit an area, sweep it for collectibles, and go to the next area to do the same without any hassle.
If this sounds too easy to you, don’t worry; Carl hasn’t made the system unbalanced at all. Everything you collect still needs 24 hours to respawn after you’ve gathered it. You can’t continually harvest from the same area over and over again in a single day so this isn’t a game exploit. It just makes the collecting process smoother and more realistic. Plants don’t stop growing while you’re not there to see them in the real world, so why should they in The Sims? With this mod, your Sims can return to an area they previously harvested from and as long as 24 hours have passed in the game, everything will be ready to collect again. You don’t need to camp out overnight. The same goes for rock and log spawners.
Carl didn’t stop at just rocks, logs, and residential world plants, though; he’s also improved the insect spawn rate in Granite Falls from the Outdoor Retreat game pack! When you visit an area in Granite Falls, there is now a 50/50 chance of insects spawning immediately upon loading the area. The reason for this is that insects are already difficult to spawn in the first place, so further lowering the spawn rate is just frustrating, not challenging in a fun way like it should be. This means that with this mod installed, insects can be found immediately in an area but they can still fail to appear about half the time to keep things realistic and balanced.
We had a great time collecting with this mod installed. I really wish I had had this mod back when my SuperSim was completing all of the collections. It would have made life so much easier but I’m looking forward to future collections being easier to manage with this mod.
The Collections Ready mod is currently in early access but will be available for free to the public in a couple weeks.

Embrace the Season Ahead with a new set of Custom Loading Screens!
Little things make all the difference for those of us playing The Sims 4 for a long, long time. Loading screens are one of those things. They just add a little oomph for free and take no effort to set up.
Here are some interesting loading screens we’ve found to spice up the old Sims 4.
Stay Up
Lin’&Sims made a loading screen inspired by the hints for the upcoming pack. There are five of them in total and all of them have a dark and lunar theme. Werewolves anyone?
Animal print
If you still want to stay on the wild route, but not of the occult nature, Blonde Bunnny‘s got you covered! They made six animal print loading screens in high definition. From zebra to leopard, or maybe were-zebra or were-leopard, that’s none of our business.
Classic
If you prefer a more classic and subdued look to your loading screens, look no further thanTeanmoon‘s monochromatic creations, with ten vibrant rainbow colors.
In-game scenes
If you prefer an immersive Sims experience, with no outside influences, Ghostly has a series of in-game loading screens showcasing beautiful vistas from different worlds, that you can adapt to different seasons and moods. Marvels of simlish architecture and landscapes.
Fairycore
Speaking of things in the game, fairies are not. But there is a very cute loading screen bySimsloverxyz depicting a fairy mushroom house in magical fairyland.
How to set CC loading screens?
It’s quite simple. Just put the file in the Mods folder! Keep in mind there can be only one file, so it would be smart to remember its name so you can easily find it and replace it.
All the loading screens mentioned above can be downloaded by clicking on the links crediting their creators.
Do you use custom loading screens, if not – why? Tell us in the comments?
Featuring a Hyperpop Simlish Song from Alice Longyu Gao!
The Sims Team has released a new blog post today for their “You Make The Sims” series. In the latest spotlight they’ve featured a Hyperpop artist Alice Longyu Gao, whose song “DTM” will be added to The Sims 4 Base Game!
The hyperpop artist has done an interesting video interview with The Sims regarding her recording process, her knowledge of Simlish and more. Check it out below:
The artist has also revealed on her Instagram Story that the Sims Delivery Express featuring her song will be dropping on May 25th, 2022! We’re not sure if anything else will be added to the game through this SDX drop, but we’ll definitely keep you updated!
Until then, you can read the official interview with Alice:
Our players make The Sims every day. They play to express their individualities, their interests and their aspirations in The Sims. They are an inspiration for us to always keep innovating and improving. We want to amplify our players’ influencers, so we’re turning the focus to them.
Alice Longyu Gao is an infectious spirit that’s just beginning to realize her full, unlimited potential. From her otherworldly fashion sense, to her genre-defying music, you can’t help but take on her carefree energy, no matter which one of her creative outlets you have the honor to experience.
With Longyu meaning “dragon and universe,” and Gao meaning “magnificent,” the singer-songwriter, DJ and artist is every bit fierce, cosmic, and absolutely splendid.
Last year, Alice released her appropriately-titled EP High Dragon and Universe, an exhilarating intro to solo music career. Despite speaking multiple languages, the six-track EP is delivered solely in English, however, fans now have a chance to hear her hit song “DTM” in a tongue only a rare group can comprehend: Simlish!
As part of our ongoing You Make The Sims series, where we spotlight creators across the world who inspire us and the game we make, Alice brings her experiential, hyperpop sound to our base game through the Sims Delivery Express.
To learn more about Alice, her art, and her love for The Sims, we visited the multi-hyphenate at her Los Angeles pad to ask her some questions, where she surprisingly responded exclusively in Simlish. You can watch the piece and read the accompanying Q&A below.
Simlish is a tough language to learn and understand. So what challenges did you run into when translating and recording “DTM” in Simlish?
It felt extremely natural for me to speak in Simlish because I’m usually in my bedroom talking to myself like that. When I got to do my song in Simlish I was like OMY, hell yea! Finally, I feel seen!’
When are the optimal times Sims should listen to “DTM?
Definitely when getting ready to go to the club, because life is about having a good laugh at the end. I hope this song brings people hope because manifestation is real; if you want something then just firmly believe that you deserve it, then you will get it.
What’s the next song you want to translate into Simlish?
“100 Boyfriends,” because I want to move my 100 boyfriends farm into The Sims.
As someone who’s very expressive, what advice do you have for anyone afraid of expressing themselves? And how can playing The Sims help?
Stay mysterious, because honestly, that’s cooler and brings you more opportunity. Express yourself when you feel comfortable and willing to share. I love to stay in my bedroom or studio, I enjoy living in my own world, playing games, making music and browsing the internet, so The Sims is quite perfect for me to live in my fantasy.
What have you learned about yourself within The Sims?
I am allowed to be alone and that’s not weird. My world is so interesting and fun, I need enough time to even just enjoy that.
You can hear Alice Longyu Gao’s Simlish version of “DTM” starting later this month in The Sims™ 4 on PC and Mac via Origin™ and Steam®, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.
The blank canvas home we didn’t know we needed. Until now!
You’ve probably seen the greyscale Build/Buy house in the catalogue by now if you’ve been playing The Sims 4 for any length of time. It represents the different Build/Buy features you can access in the catalogue and clicking on a piece of the house will take you to that category of items.
We never gave much thought to this house before. It was just… there. Existing. But now it exists in a different form! Simmer daniellebuildshas taken it upon themselves to recreate the Build/Buy house as a real build, greyscale colour palette and all!
Did we ever ask for this? No. Are we incredibly grateful that it exists? Absolutely! We love when Simmers think outside the box and create something we never expected and this is no exception! This is so fun and creative and seeing it made our day.
You can download this build for yourself from the Gallery right now!
