This Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File Is Hiding Stunning Builds and Stories You Need to See

There’s something immediately different about loading into a save file that feels shaped by imagination and a genuine love for the world it creates. The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File captures that feeling from the very first moment, inviting players into a fully reimagined experience filled with mystery, storytelling, and unforgettable details.

Spanning multiple worlds, every lot has been reimagined with care. From cozy cafés and magical gathering spaces to dramatic estates and hidden underground secrets, each build feels thoughtfully placed within its environment. It never feels overwhelming or cluttered. Instead, it invites exploration at a slower pace, where moving from one lot to another becomes part of the experience.

There is a clear sense that this save was designed not just to be seen, but to be played.

Glimmerbrook Brings Magic Into Everyday Life

The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File map of Glimmerbrook with spellcaster homes, magical forest setting, and enchanted lots

Glimmerbrook feels like stepping into something quietly magical, and this reimagined version leans fully into that atmosphere. Surrounded by towering trees and soft lighting, every lot feels carefully placed, as if it has always belonged there.

One of the most noticeable changes is the introduction of a brand new café, replacing the original bar and bringing a softer, more inviting energy to the world. It feels like a natural gathering space for spellcasters, blending seamlessly into the environment while offering something fresh to explore. Alongside this, the Magic Realm HQ has also been thoughtfully refreshed, maintaining its iconic presence while feeling more connected to the surrounding world.

The Magic Realm Lot Glimmerbrook

Beyond the community spaces, the residential lots bring even more depth. One of the most memorable additions is the Durchdenwald Residence, a household that immediately stands out. It was one of the first families that truly draws you in, with a story that feels just as thoughtfully crafted as the build itself. Their home blends beautifully into Glimmerbrook’s magical setting, complete with a detailed greenhouse space that adds so much personality. It is the kind of household that invites you to slow down, explore, and discover more over time.

What makes this world feel so special is how naturally everything comes together. The builds, the households, and the surrounding environment all work in harmony, creating a space that feels immersive without giving everything away. It encourages curiosity, making each visit feel like there is always something new waiting to be uncovered.

Innisgreen Feels Like a Hidden Fairytale World

The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File map of Innisgreen featuring fairy-inspired builds, lush greenery, and magical neighborhoods

Innisgreen is one of the most visually striking parts of the save. The moment you arrive, it feels layered, lush, and full of quiet detail.

The Raine Residence showcases how much thought has gone into landscaping alone. The lot is shaped by winding paths, tiered greenery, and natural transitions that make it feel like a destination rather than just a home.

Raine Residence Innisgreen

The Enchanted Library is easily one of the standout builds across the entire save. Covered in ivy and surrounded by soft lighting, it feels both magical and grounded. Inside, the design leans into comfort with cozy reading spaces, warm tones, and subtle fantasy elements that never feel overdone.

This is the kind of build that encourages lingering. It feels mystical, calm, and immersive all at once.

Sulani Expands Into a More Lived-In World

The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File map of Sulani showcasing island homes, mermaid lots, and tropical coastal scenery

With 14 updated lots, Sulani feels especially vibrant in this save. The world feels fuller, more active, and more connected through its community spaces.

The House of Tides Restaurant immediately stands out with its scale and presence. The open layout, ocean views, and layered design make it feel like a central gathering place for events and celebrations.

In contrast, the Mermaid Café offers something quieter and more intimate. The use of natural materials and soft tropical tones creates a relaxed space that still carries a sense of personality and storytelling.

Sulani is often considered a favorite among players for its bright coastal setting, and it’s easy to see why. This reimagining builds on that appeal, adding new layers of storytelling and community spaces that make the world feel even more vibrant and alive.

Moonwood Mill Adds Character and Contrast

The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File map of Moonwood Mill with werewolf builds, industrial structures, and forested terrain

Moonwood Mill benefits from a strong sense of contrast between its builds, which helps the world feel more dynamic.

The Furstenberg Residence leans into a grounded, rustic style that connects naturally with the surrounding forest. It feels lived in and practical, while still full of charm.

The Furstenberg Residence Moonwood Mill

The Moonwood Mill Lounge shifts the tone entirely. With its industrial textures, layered lighting, and slightly worn aesthetic, it brings a different kind of energy into the world. It feels like a place with history, where Sims gather for reasons that are not always immediately clear.

Many of the households come with detailed backstories that add another layer of depth. It strengthens the sense that these worlds are not just decorated, but inhabited.

Magnolia Promenade Hides More Than It Reveals

The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File map of Magnolia Promenade featuring rebuilt community lots and occult-themed locations

Magnolia Promenade may appear more grounded at first, but there are subtle surprises woven into its design.

Café Occult blends a familiar storefront look with hints of something more unusual beneath the surface. It fits naturally into the world while still offering a distinct identity.

The Aliens Disguised Residential Property takes that idea even further. On the surface, it presents as an ordinary home, but below, there are clear signs that something else is happening. These kinds of hidden details are scattered throughout the save, rewarding players who take the time to explore.

Forgotten Hollow Embraces Gothic Storytelling

The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File map of Forgotten Hollow featuring redesigned vampire homes and dark forest surroundings

Forgotten Hollow leans fully into its darker aesthetic, but what stands out here is the variety within that theme.

The residence of Count Vladislaus Straud IV delivers a dramatic, gothic presence. From the exterior to the richly detailed interior spaces, everything feels carefully crafted and slightly theatrical. The lower levels and surrounding areas add to that sense of mystery without fully revealing what might be happening…

The Young Residence offers a softer interpretation. Its ivy-covered exterior and lighter interior palette create a more romantic atmosphere while still staying true to the world. Together, these builds show how much range can exist within a single setting.

Planet Sixam Like You’ve Never Seen Before

Just when it feels like this save file has revealed everything, it quietly introduces something even more unexpected. Planet Sixam has been completely transformed into a fully realized destination, and it stands out as one of the most creative builds in the entire save.

Set within Sixam’s glowing landscape, this futuristic structure feels perfectly at home among the luminous plants and crystal formations. Inside, the space blends sleek, modern design with subtle alien details, creating an environment that feels both advanced and lived in.

It is the kind of lot that sparks curiosity. Who built it, what are they studying, and what secrets are still hidden here? Like much of this save file, it invites discovery without giving everything away, making every visit feel like something new is waiting just beneath the surface.

A World Filled With Stories

Beyond the builds, one of the most compelling aspects of this save file is the Sims themselves.

Many of the added households include detailed backstory descriptions that immediately bring them to life. Relationships, histories, and small narrative details are already in place, giving players a strong starting point without limiting how those stories unfold.

There is a clear balance between structure and freedom. Enough is provided to spark ideas, but not so much that it removes the sense of discovery.

That same philosophy extends across the entire save. Not everything is presented upfront. Some details are easy to find, while others are hidden in plain sight, waiting to be uncovered over time.

How to Download the Occult Collab Save File

The Occult Collab Save File is the result of a large community project led by ErynWithaY, alongside 40+ talented Simmers who came together to create a fully immersive, occult-focused experience.

Each creator contributed their own builds and households, bringing a wide range of styles and storytelling into one cohesive save. The goal was to create a world that celebrates every occult type while still being accessible, using a limited selection of packs so more players can enjoy it.

You can download the full save file directly from Patreon here:

The download is provided as a .zip file, which includes the complete save ready to place into your game.

Once downloaded, simply extract the file and move it into your Sims 4 “saves” folder. From there, it will appear in your game the next time you launch.

This save spans multiple worlds including Glimmerbrook, Sulani, Moonwood Mill, Forgotten Hollow, Magnolia Promenade, and Innisgreen. Each one has been rebuilt with new lots, households, and stories waiting to be explored.

If you enjoy discovering new creators, this project is also a great way to find them. Many of the contributors share their work under the #occultcollab hashtag, making it easy to explore even more builds and Sims beyond the save file itself.

Final Thoughts

The Sims 4 Occult Collab Save File mermaid home in Sulani with tropical stilt house, ocean views, and vibrant island surroundings

This save file succeeds in doing something that is not always easy. It enhances existing worlds without losing what makes them recognizable. It adds detail without overwhelming. Most importantly, it creates a space that feels worth exploring.

There is a clear level of care behind every build, every household, and every small detail placed throughout the worlds. It feels cohesive, immersive, and full of potential.

While this type of save may not appeal to every playstyle, especially for those who prefer a more minimal or untouched experience, it offers something incredibly rich for players who enjoy storytelling, exploration, and beautifully designed environments.

Making a PlantSim in CAS

In CAS, you’ll find a collection of new hairstyles and outfits for styling your PlantSim and let them grow their own unique style.

Friend of Nature Aspiration

There is also a new Aspiration that you can choose from, which can be completed either as a PlantSim or a non-PlantSim. No matter which path you take, your Sim will grow their green thumb and develop a more nurturing touch when caring for their garden.

Sims 4 Guide

Build Buy Objects

In Build Mode, you’ll discover a whole bunch of new nature-inspired items to decorate with. The bathtub is definitely my favorite! There’s also a bed, leaf nightstands and a table, a mushroom chair, a tree-inspired chair, a leafy bench, and even a pathway which we will take a closer look at later.

Sims 4 Guide

Plumbobs

Your PlantSim can choose from five different occult plumbobs which are Bizarre, Vines, Flowers, Mushrooms, and Branches. Depending on the nature look you want for your PlantSim, you can mix and match and give them the perfect plumbob that fits your style.

A new Skill and Perks

There’s also a brand new skill called the PlantSim Form Skill, which tracks how much your PlantSim has blossomed. As you level up this skill, your PlantSim will earn Ability Points, which can also be gained by tending to the garden.

When it comes to perks, there are so many options to choose from. The one we’re trying out in the picture below is Floral Photosynthesis. With this perk, your PlantSim transforms into a flower and regains hunger and energy.

PlantSim Abilities

Basic PlantSims gain several new abilities, including absorbing puddles to refill their Water need, communing with the Goddess of Nature to boost Fun, and sunbathing to restore Hunger and Energy. They can even go out and “Touch Grass,” to reconnect with nature.

Seasonal Domain

When your Sim becomes a PlantSim they can select a seasonal domain and grow stronger in one chosen season. Each season offers its own special benefits, and our PlantSim choose Summer. The benefits that applies on Summer season are that you’re budling your fitness skill and friendly relationships much faster.

The Goddess of Nature Sylvia

Sylvia is the Goddess of Nature who watches over all the PlantSims and take important notes of their actions. Caring for plants and protecting the environment increases your Sims Nature Affinity, while harming nature may earn her disapproval. If your Sim reaches high affinity, they may be able to summon her, but keep in mind that losing too much could lead to curses…

Nature’s Pathway

The Nature’s Pathway is a magical arch with a portal, and in front of it you’ll see an offering circle dedicated to Sylvia, the Goddess of Nature. Sims can plant harvestables as offerings to gain Nature Affinity, and if the offerings are high quality you’ll earn special gifts in return. With exceptional affinity and a perfect offering, your Sim are hopefully able to summon Sylvia, but if you offer less quality plants you could summon something else instead.

New Plants

Very mysterious and special seeds can be planted and will grow into something you haven’t seen before.

Baby PlantSims

Sylvia might gift you this seed and your Sim will feel very protective of it. As soon as it’s planted a PlantSim baby will grow inside the flower and bloom when it’s ready.

Beanstalk
If you plant a magic bean a giant beanstalk will appear. When it is fully grown your Sims can climb up and go on adventures above the clouds. You’ll need different skills to pass the beanstalk quests.

Magna Flora
The Magna Flora is a huge flower you can talk and build a relationship with. Eventually you can ask for gifts or pollen.

Other Occults

There are also three additional occult types included in this mod. The first are Myconids, a mysterious fungal species. If your Sim eats a Magic Mushroom gifted by the Goddess of Nature, they will transform into a Myconid. The second type is Satyrs, playful creatures who love music and mischief, and can often be seen playing tunes on their Pan Flute. The final type is called Bizarre PlantSims, which can appear if you have The Sims 4: StrangerVille installed. A Sim can become a Bizarre PlantSim if the Motherplant in StrangerVille possesses them.

Paralives Showcases All Walk Styles

1

Paralives walk styles are the focus of this week’s post, as every week since October last year the Paralives team has been opening to the public posts that were originally only available to Patreon supporters.

The walk style animations are intended to make the game feel more alive since we will be able to observe Parafolk in everyday situations interacting in the open-world town in real time in-game. Let’s take a look and understand how Paralives walk styles will work on day 1 of Early Access!

Paralives WalkingAnimations

Life Stage Walk Styles

As stated in the original blog post “Animation Showcase: Walk Styles!” on Patreon, the walk styles based on life stages are the highest-priority type of walk style, and they will not be influenced by emotions (at least at first). The ones that will be present this time are the child walk style, the pregnant walk style, and the elder walk style.

Paralives WalkingAnimations LS

Child Walk Style

The showcase starts with the walking style that will be used as the default for children. It is likely that, at least in the beginning of Early Access, this will be the only walk style for kids. It was teased in the post that they also already had the toddler animations ready, but they were not shown this time.

Pregnant Walk Style

The second walk style in the showcase shows how pregnant Parafolk will walk. This walk style also has a high priority, so regardless of emotion, the Parafolk will use it while pregnant.

Elder Walk Style

The last priority walk style in the video was the elder walk style. This one will be used for all Parafolk in the elder life stage.

Paralives Walking Animations6
Paralives Walking Animations7

Vibe Walk Style

The vibe walk styles are walk styles based on personality traits. These are the walk styles that will be used when emotions are not strong enough to cause a variation in the walk style.

Paralives WalkingAnimations Vibes

Energetic Walk Style

The energetic walk style will be used when the Parafolk has the energetic vibe. It is possible to see that, even though the Parafolk has the “stressed” emotion at level 3, the emotion isn’t strong enough to change the way they are walking. The “stressed walk style” will also be presented later in this post.

Gloomy Walk Style

Similar to the energetic walk style, the gloomy walk style will be used when the Parafolk has the gloomy vibe and the emotions they are feeling are not strong enough to override it. In this case, the Parafolk has a level 2 “sad” emotion, but it is not strong enough to change the way they are walking.

Overjoyed Walk Style

The overjoyed walk style works the same way as the previous walk style and will be used when the Parafolk’s emotions are not strong enough.

Serious Walk Style

The next walk style presented is the serious one. This one will be used when the Parafolk has a “serious vibe” and is not under the influence of any strong emotion.

Jester Walk Style

The Jester walk style is the last walk style based on the vibe of the Parafolk in this showcase. This one is also not impacted by emotions.

Emotion-Based Walk Styles

The emotion walk styles are the second priority and will be used when emotions are strong enough. They will not be used for Parafolk in a special state (such as being pregnant) or in life stages that have their own walk styles (such as children and elders).

It has not been officially stated yet and may change, but based on the original post about walk styles, it seems that emotions start to affect the walk style at level 4.

Paralives WalkingAnimations Card

Happy Walk Style

The first presented walk style based on an emotion was the happy walk style, with the emotion card at level 6.

Stressed Walk Style

The second walk style based on an emotion was the stressed walk style, with the emotion card at level 7. Poor Parafolk!

Sad Walk Style

The sad walk style is one of my favorites. The Parafolk presented has a “sad” emotion card at level 5. It really captures the emotion, and the Parafolk looks so sad in this animation that I wish I could give them a hug.

Angry Walk Style

The angry walk style presented is at level 5. I wouldn’t mess with this Parafolk.

Embarrassed Walk Style

The embarrassed walk style is at level 5, and the way the Parafolk is acting really tells a lot. I can feel how ashamed they are in this animation.

Disgusted Walk Style

The disgusted walk style was presented at level 4. I want to know what situations trigger this emotion!

Bored Walk Style

To finish the showcase, the bored walk animation was presented at level 6.

In the original Patreon post “Animation Showcase: Walk Styles!“, published by the Paralives team, it is said that the walking styles are still a work in progress and may change or evolve over time. You can also visit our Paralives News section to learn more about what is coming in Early Access!

Paralives is set to release on PC and MAC on Steam on May 25, 2026.

What do you think about the new walking animations? Are you excited for the Early Access? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for more updates on your favorite Life Sims!

InZOI Boss Reveals May 2025 Update Plans and Community Feedback Improvements

1

The game’s recent survey and feedback sessions inspired the game creator with new feature plans!

The team at InZOI has just shared the results of recent game surveys and feedback sessions. Sharing results and progress for upcoming InZOI Game Features that the team plans to pushes out before the 1.0 version launch. There’s a lot more polish and nuanced features revealed in a Wednesday message this week from InZOI’s boss Kjun, who shared new key talking points about what they’re tackling next.

The team acknowledges feedback in areas for general game and system improvements, more realistic emotions, game’s cultural diversity and additional game features.

See where the game is headed next, get the first look at hair salon screenshot and discover more features as we near the May 2026 InZOI Update, which is also expected to bring the long awaited Schools feature.

LETTER 2 PATTERN e1675116678818

Hello, and happy Wednesday.

This week as well, we carefully reviewed a wide range of community feedback and suggestions. Many of you have shown strong anticipation for the upcoming update, and while that enthusiasm is something we truly appreciate, it also brings a certain level of concern. Expectations can be a powerful source of motivation for us, but we want to ensure they remain grounded. Alongside many positive reactions to recent updates, you have also shared a substantial number of ideas for improvements and new features.

In particular, we received detailed feedback regarding the character personality system, the development of baby and toddler stages, career systems such as hair stylists and clothing store management, the introduction of a first-person perspective, MetaHuman integration, and various features aimed at enhancing realism and immersion.

Community Response and Key Updates

There is strong interest in the introduction of first-person perspective and the addition of careers such as hair stylists and clothing store operators. Many of you expressed a desire for more detailed mechanics within the hair stylist career, including processes like washing, drying, and dyeing, as well as customer satisfaction systems. To be precise, these elements have not been fully implemented in this update. Interest in the baby stage remains high, with requests for more detailed growth processes (such as walking and speaking), as well as a wider variety of hairstyles and clothing. We are continuing to expand these options, and additional outfits are planned for May. Regarding MetaHuman integration, there have been concerns about clipping issues and requests for improvements to the genetic system. Many of you are asking for a more sophisticated system where traits are inherited from both parents in a more realistic way. Currently, inZOI relies on transformations based on a base face, which imposes certain limitations on facial blending. We will continue internal discussions on how to improve this.

Gameplay and System Improvements

Within the career system, there is strong demand for more diverse tasks, clearer promotion pathways, the inclusion of minigames, and more realistic job activities (such as firefighting or expanded police duties). The Career update we are preparing follows a “Fundamental First” approach. Our priority is to strengthen core elements that have not been sufficiently developed so far, such as interviews, promotions, leave systems, and remote work. We will continue expanding job variety in subsequent updates. There were also many detailed suggestions regarding clothing store management, including inventory control, trend responsiveness, personalized outfit recommendations, fashion shows, and social media marketing systems. Currently, the store provides a direct purchase experience through mannequins. We are preparing to incorporate the requested features to deliver a more robust and engaging management experience. For the hair stylist career, many of you requested deeper mechanics such as hair length changes, temporary dye effects, tip variations based on customer satisfaction, diverse hairstyle and accessory combinations, and even the separation of male barbershops. We plan to implement a system where available styles depend on the character’s skill level, and we will continue refining the experience based on your feedback. There were also frequent comments regarding the lack of natural variation in emotional expression and animation, as well as requests to strengthen the visual representation of personality systems. Improvements in these areas are planned for May, including additional animations and better alignment between emotions and animation output.

Interface, Graphics, and Additional Features

In build mode, there were requests for advanced tools such as multi-selection, group saving, object rotation, and mirroring. Additional feedback included improvements to texture management, controller usability, skin quality, and camera height adjustment. If “object rotation” refers to free rotation, we are considering providing this as a cheat option. As for mirroring, while duplicating object placement is feasible, generating true mesh-level symmetry is technically challenging. Providing duplication-based alternatives may be more practical, and we would value your input on this direction. We also recognize that managing large numbers of textures can be cumbersome, and we will discuss UI improvements internally.

Cultural Diversity and Immersion

There were suggestions to deepen immersion by incorporating global cultural elements and seasonal events such as Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day, and Halloween, while still maintaining the core Korean cultural identity of the game. We also received requests to expand representation through diverse hairstyles, ethnic backgrounds, and sexual orientations. We are continuously developing additional clothing and hairstyles in this regard.

Additional Suggestions and Future Content

Many of you proposed expanding interactive career experiences in fields such as healthcare (doctors, nurses) and education (teachers), along with the addition of related facilities like hospitals and pharmacies. There is also strong interest in expanding into sports (such as ice hockey and skating), as well as creative and social professions like photographers, models, and musicians. Further suggestions included diversifying vehicle types, improving transportation systems, expanding urban environments, and increasing flexibility in building placement. Enhancing realism through more varied NPC behavior was also frequently mentioned, including child safety systems, deeper NPC interactions, crime systems, and vehicle collision responses. Conclusion

Thank you again for the wide range of thoughtful and engaging feedback this week. Even suggestions submitted during the writing of this message, such as the surfing idea, have already been reviewed and discussed internally. We were also inspired by the visuals and concepts many of you shared alongside your feedback. Your passion continues to be a significant source of motivation for the development team. However, it is important to clarify that there will not be a major update this month. Our current focus is on stabilization and strengthening the foundational systems of the game.

Thank you, and we will see you on Friday. — kjun

P.S. Today, due to a bug, a beautiful female customer came into the salon and ended up like this. Haha. We will make sure to fix it before sharing it with you.

Tomodachi Life Minigames: A Guide To Playing With Miis in Living The Dream

1

If you haven’t noticed, your Miis are kind of obsessed with you in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. They ask you for relationship advice, they want to know things about you, and of course, they want to play Tomodachi Life minigames with you. There are a variety of minigames that you may encounter, some more challenging than others, but they’re worth playing to earn some sweet (or incredibly silly) prizes.

How To Know When Miis Want To Play

You’ll know Miis want to play minigames when flashing green rectangles appear over Miis’ heads. Simply click on them to find out which game they want to play with you. You can opt not to play with them, but there’s really no reason not to play, as losing doesn’t have negative consequences for your Mii.

Rewards For Playing Minigames

If you win Tomodachi Life minigames, you don’t win money or Warm Fuzzies. Instead, you are presented with three baskets — small, medium, and large. These represent the size of what’s in the basket, but other than that, it’s pretty unpredictable. You can get all kinds of different treasures, from pets to solar panels to singular earbuds. Even when you win, you’re not guaranteed a nice gift, as I pulled a dirty sock from the middle basket. Much like most things in Tomodachi Life, the gifts are random. Pulling something good is based on luck.

A Mii stands in front of three different shaped boxes, which are rewards from a Tomodachi Life minigame

Now, you don’t go home empty-handed if you lose. Your Miis will console you by gifting you toilet paper or a box of tissues. Feels more like mocking than consoling if you ask me — maybe it would be better to not get anything at all.

Quiz Games

The majority of Tomodachi Life minigames are quizzes, which involve you making guesses based on some kind of image your Miis show you. Each game has three rounds. That said, you don’t get to finish the game if you make an incorrect guess.

Zoom Quiz

This minigame is exactly what it sounds like. You’ll be shown three very zoomed-in shots of objects, and then you have to guess what they are.

The zoom quiz Tomodachi Life minigame

Shadow Quizzes

There are actually three kinds of Shadow Quiz minigames in Living the Dream, but all of them have the same basic gist — you are given a blacked-out image and have to guess what it is. First, there’s the regular Shadow quiz, which will show you images of things and foods (which can include custom items you’ve made!). Then there’s the Double Shadow Quiz, where two blacked-out images — again of food and things —  will be on top of each other. You’ll have three options, and you have to select two of them.

These item-based games can be tricky because the outline of a lot of foods just looks like a plate. You could try to cheat some of the options by looking up images of the Living the Dream foods, but often it may just have to come down to a lucky guess.

The Double Shadow Quiz Tomodachi Life minigame

Finally, there’s the Mii Shadow Quiz, where you are given the outlines of your Miis and have to guess who is behind the shadow.

Pixel Quiz

With the Pixel Quiz, Miis will give you pixelated editions of Living the Dream items, and you’ll have to guess what’s behind the pixels.

The pixel quiz Tomodachi Life minigame

Latte Art Quiz

If you have the Tomoria Restaurant unlocked, you may encounter the Latte Art Quiz. Slide into a booth with your Mii, and they’ll show you cups of coffee with swirly images of island residents. All you have to do is guess whose image has been swirled.

Latte Art Quiz is one of the many quiz Tomodachi Life minigames

No Repeats

In this Tomodachi Life minigame, the Mii chooses a topic like food. Then you trade off listing topic items (you get a list of three options to choose from) until one of you says a non-topic item, one of you says a topic item that’s already been said, or you take too long to answer. This can go on for a little while if you keep answering correctly. There is also a group edition of No Repeats, where more Miis are involved, which makes it trickier as now it’s not just one Mii’s answers you need to remember.

No repeats Tomodachi Life minigame

Coin Spin

Coin Spin is your classic game of heads or tails. Just pick your favored side and watch the coin (which will feature the head of one of your Miis in a wig) with bated breath to see if you get lucky.

Coin spin Tomodachi Life minigame

Moving Cups

This Tomodachi Life minigame is another Tomoria special. It’s the classic cup game: you have to follow the cup, hiding a coin underneath as the Mii moves them around. There are three rounds, each with faster movement of the cups. As a heads up, in the third round, Miis tend to do a last-minute switch-up, so stay focused until those winning boxes show up!

The moving cups Tomodachi Life minigame

What’s Missing?

The What’s Missing? minigame can trigger once you have a mansion (the Mii will be sitting at the table). The Mii will show you two images of foods or treasures. You have to point out what item is not shown. The Mii will count down from three, which can feel overwhelming, but you generally don’t need that much time to pick. That said, sometimes the items overlap so much that one becomes completely hidden. At that point, it’s another Tomodachi Life lucky guess.

What's Missing? Living the Dream minigame

Bowling

Instead of having your Miis bowl like they do in Wii Sports, here your Miis are the pins that need to be knocked down. The number of Mii pins varies, and the more Mii pins you have, the more rolls you get. For example, with seven Miis, you get three rolls. With ten Miis, you get four rolls.

Miis stand in a bowling pin formation in the bowling Tomodachi Life minigame

Poke The Ferris Wheel

Unlocking the Ferris Wheel also unlocks the Poke the Ferris Wheel minigame where, shockingly, you have to poke the Ferris Wheel. The goal is to end the game with the gondola at the top of the wheel. You get a certain number of pokes, which you can make more powerful by holding A. But you have to use all of the pokes, so make sure to pace your pokes.

Red Light Green Light

Another game taken straight out of real life, Red Light Green Light asks you to try and sneak up behind a Mii within 30 seconds. On green light, the Mii won’t look, and you can approach them by dragging your right joystick. When Miis call red light, you have to stop moving as they whip their head around. It’s a pretty simple game, until they perform a fakeout by calling green light and then immediately calling red light again. It might be wise to wait a second before moving after they call green light, lest you get caught in their trap.

Odd One Out

This last Tomodachi Life minigame is a group minigame (a cluster of four Miis will have the green rectangles!) where you have to pick which Mii in a lineup of four doesn’t belong. The Mii might be wearing a different costume than the rest or posing differently. It’s memory-based, as you only have a second or two to spot the difference before having to answer.

Odd One Out

It’s very much random as to which game your Miis want to play. You can have a fairly high-leveled island and still not have run into all of the games, even the ones that don’t require a facility to unlock.

New The Sims 4 Update Expected for First Half of May: First Teasers

EA Community Managers are already teasing up the next Sims 4 Update!

It’s been a while since we’ve gotten news about the next The Sims 4 Update. Today there’s an official confirmation from an EA Community Manager, stating that the next update “is an update alright”, rather than just a bug-fixes release.

Community Manager Cade also confirmed the general focus of Sims 4 improvements for the first half of may. Confirming that we’re already on track to see improvements for Infants, Toddlers and General Sim Autonomy. The feedback for these were collected weeks ago in the linked Discord Feedback discussions, and it seems we’re already getting the final product release in May 2026.

The Community Manager noted that we’re first getting a Laundry List “in very early may”, shortly after which you should expect this Update to drop.

Here are all the messages about the next Sims 4 Update shared in the official Sims Discord channel:

CONVERSATION 2

Question: i doubt you can answer it, but is the base-game update an update or is it just bug-fixes

EA Community Manager: Oh it’s an update alright, but you’ll need to wait for the Laundry List to drop for more than that

Infants, Toddlers, and general Sim autonomy are the focuses of our upcoming Base Game update in May. Watch for the Laundry List in very early May.

next sims 4 update teaser ea community

Statement: i’ve had a few of the bug reports i’ve commented on get updated with “fix coming” or however it’s worded

EA Community Manager: That’s great! “Upcoming Fix” is our last stop in the life of a bug before we release an update to resolve them.

Ongoing Work

We’re currently in final testing for a fix for the Secret Witness sentiment issue and expect it to be included in our Base Game update in May. We’re also wrapping up work on resolving reports of the Scandal icon not dismissing properly, which is likewise targeted for the May update.

Thanks for your patience while we worked through these!

Let’s explore this new feature!

Public Release Date TBA

What’s The Sims 4 Challenge Tracker Purpose?

For all the legacy challenge players out there, this is a real game changer. With this new feature, you can write down all the goals for your legacy challenge using the so called Challenge Creator and add it directly into your game. This makes it easy to keep track of your goals and check them off as you play. As you can see in the picture below this is where you start writing down the challenge and goals.

What is a Legacy Challenge?

A Legacy Challenge in The Sims is a long-term challenge where you play as one family across many generations. It usually begins with a single Sim, and your goal is to slowly build a family that grows over time. Each generation can have different goals, rules, or story ideas to follow, and this can include love stories, chaos, and more. It’s very common for legacy challenges to have themes, such as fruits, colors, and some are even inspired by movies characters. Legacy challenges are loved because they make the game feel more meaningful, while build your own family tree. A well known legacy challenge is Very Veggie created by Lilsimsie, check out our playthrough here.

The Challenge Creator

Pick a legacy challenge you want to play, or why not create your own. You can add your own customized banner, name, and description for each challenge to make it feel unique. You can also add rules, for example, if money cheats are allowed, or if your Sim must have specific traits, aspiration and so on.

2 1 1
Made by Sulsulmelli

You can customize which packs that are required, and if you don’t have one, that specific goal will be greyed out. There’s also an option to track numerical progress, meaning that if you need to reach a certain skill level, it will show something like 4/6 is completed.

There’s also an option to group goals. For example, if your challenge includes a “this or that” scenario, you can separate the paths and choose which one you want to complete. Once you’ve written down all your goals, added icons for each level, and feel satisfied with everything, it’s time to download the package file and place it in your Mods folder.

Gameplay Features

When you open your game, you can find your challenge by clicking on the Aspiration icon. This is where all your goals will be displayed, making it easy to keep track of your progress as you play. Whenever you complete a goal and want to check it off your list, simply right-click on the task, and it will automatically be marked as completed.

All progress is tied to the household you are playing with, so it will automatically be saved. This means you can easily continue right where you left off the next time you play.

Have you tried The Sims 4 Challenge Tracker yet? What is your thoughts about it so far? Let us know in the comments below and as always, keep up with the latest news on Sims Community.

Tomodachi Life Shops: Complete Guide to Facilities in Living the Dream

After years of waiting, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is finally here, bringing back its signature mix of chaos, humor, and social simulation with a much greater sense of scale. This time, players can build out their island with a total of 13 different buildings, each one adding new activities, interactions, and ways to shape daily life between Miis. That said, returning players may quickly notice that a few familiar locations didn’t make the cut this time, leaving some gaps that stand out, at least at first.

A big part of that experience revolves around the Tomodachi Life shops, which nowfeel more integrated into your island’s overall progression. From food and clothing stores to creative spaces and social hubs, each building unlocks gradually as you play, expanding what your Miis can do. Rather than following a strict pattern, the game leans into a more organic kind of growth, where new shops and facilities appear as your island becomes more active.

Tomodachi Life: How Facilities Work in Living the Dream

At the core of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a system of shops that evolves alongside your island. Each store introduces a different type of interaction, from buying food and clothing to customizing interiors or creating entirely new items. Rather than unlocking everything at once, Tomodachi Life facilities are gradually introduced as your island becomes more active, giving a steady sense of progression. Although it doesn’t actually take long to unlock them all.

Most facilities follow a similar structure. Stock rotates daily, usually offering a small selection of items, and anything you purchase gets added to the store’s permanent lineup. This creates a light collection system where checking in every day becomes part of the routine. At the same time, some shops go beyond simple buying and selling, tying into creativity, social interactions, or even minigames, which helps keep the overall experience varied.

What stands out is how these Tomodachi Life facilities are connected to your overall progress. New stores do not unlock through a single clear requirement, but through a mix of factors such as the number of Miis on your island, their relationships, and your daily activity. It is a system that feels less predictable, but also more natural, as your island slowly expands without following a strict path.

All Tomodachi Life Shops and Facilities in Living The Dream

Each building has its own price in the Quik Build shop. Check it out below:

  • Food Mart: Buy food with a small daily selection that rotates every day. Once purchased, items remain permanently available. Price: $1000
  • Wishing Fountain: Collect daily donations from your Miis and exchange them for wishes to unlock new features.
  • Where & Wear: Purchase clothing with new stock arriving daily. Like food, bought items stay in the shop permanently. You can buy separate clothes as well as complete outfits. Price: $1000
  • T&C Reno: Buy interior sets to customize your Miis’ homes. Price: $3000
  • Quik Build: Unlock and place decorative elements for your island, such as fences, plants and additional structures. Price: $1000
  • Palette House: Create custom content, including food, clothing, pets, and interiors, depending on your unlocks. Price: $1000
  • Treasure Shop: Purchase items and creations designed in Palette House. Costs $1000
  • MNN News Station: Watch daily news reports featuring your Miis, often tied to island events and unlocks. Price: $1000
  • Rite Price: Sell unwanted treasures and items for money. Price: $3000
  • Tomoria: A social restaurant where Miis gather and interact. Price: $300
  • Marketplace: A limited-time shop with discounts during the day and a mystery bag available at night. Price: $5000
  • Foto-Tomo: A photo studio with unlockable poses that expand as you progress. Price: $1000
  • Ferris Wheel: A late-game social spot that also includes a minigame when Miis invite you. Price: $8000

Some familiar locations from Tomodachi Life 3DS are notably absent in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Buildings like the Concert Hall, which allowed Miis to perform songs, or other smaller activity-focused spots, have not returned, at least in the current version of the game.

That said, part of their role seems to have been absorbed into the island itself. With a more open layout, Miis can now move around freely and interact in shared spaces, making the world feel less segmented than before. It also leaves the door open for future updates, so some of these missing features could always come back in a different form.

Unlocking new Tomodachi Life shops in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is not tied to a single requirement. Instead, the game uses a flexible system where different aspects of your island contribute to overall progression.

Adding more Miis is clearly part of the equation, but it is not the only factor. Building relationships, resolving Mii problems, increasing their happiness, and regularly interacting with them all seem to push the island forward. In many cases, new shops appear once you reach a certain level of overall activity, often introduced through short in-game news segments.

tomodachi life shops

A good example of this is the Ferris Wheel, currently the final unlockable building. There is no consistent requirement across players, with some unlocking it earlier and others later. In my case, I unlocked it with 10 Miis on the island, a level of 22, and several established friendships and romantic relationships. This reinforces the idea that progression is tied to a combination of factors rather than a fixed milestone.

Because of this, unlocks do not happen at the same time for everyone. Some players may gain access to late-game buildings with fewer Miis, while others might need to spend more time developing relationships or engaging with daily tasks. The system feels intentionally open, encouraging you to focus on the life of your island rather than chasing specific requirements, although it doesn’t actually take long to unlock them all.

Living The Grid: Check Out This Great New Pixel-Art Tool For Tomodachi Life!

The tool can convert any image into a paintable pixel grid that acts as an easy step-by-step guide.

Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream is finally here, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve been loving all of the custom creations players have been coming up with. If you’re struggling with getting your designs looking perfect, don’t worry! The new ‘Living The Grid’ Pixel-Art tool, created by Reddit user Clement Gonzalvez is here to help.

The custom design process can be daunting, especially if you’re not familiar with digital art, but this tool makes it much simpler by providing a paint-by-numbers guide for custom designs. All you need is an image of the design you want, and Living The Grid does the rest for you. We’ll explore the tool and explain how it works below!

Tool Information

Title page

Many players will be familiar with similar image conversion tools, such as those used to create custom designs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Living The Grid is slightly different, however, as there is no option for a direct transfer from the tool to the game itself. Instead, the tool generates a design based on your image, presented in a pixel grid, which can then be used as a guide for drawing that same design in-game.

Living The Grid has a range of different grid sizes, all of which can be translated onto Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream‘s 256 × 256 canvas. The level of detail in your design will depend on the number of pixels you select. The tool’s colour palette also uses the exact same colour swatches – 77 swatches plus 7 pure saturated extras – organised using row and column labels to make recreating your designs a much simpler process!

Colours
The colours used in a design are outlined and labelled so you can easily find the same colours in-game.

Conversion tools in the past typically required a Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to transfer designs via the app. Living The Grid is completely free to use, ad-free and works in your browser, so it doesn’t require an account or any downloads.

Gonzalvez stated the tool was created as they “really wanted to get into pixel art in the game but didn’t find satisfactory tools to help”, which inspired them to make their own and ease the process of drawing designs in-game.

How To Use Living The Grid

Grid

Getting started is simple – just upload the picture you want to recreate in game and you’ll be presented with an easy-to-follow guide. Be aware that the more colours your image uses, the less accurate the conversion will be due to the limitations of the game’s colour palette and pixel grid format.

The tool then generates a pixel-art version of your image using the closest colour matches from the in-game palette. On the left of the screen, you’ll see a range of adjustment options including preset colour palettes, the amount of colours used and the brush size. One great feature is the paint-by-numbers toggle in the display menu, which assigns each colour a number so you can see exactly where they are used in the image. You can also see where colours are used by hovering over them in the menu.

There are two stroke modes to choose from; pixel-perfect, which has four brush sizes that ‘snap’ to the grid, and smooth, which has six brushes that move more freely. Experiment with both to see which style you prefer the look of. In-game, pick your brush, set it to square and pixel and the canvas will behave like a pixel grid, making copying your designs over much easier.

2026042121441100 s

Once you’ve adjusted your design to your liking, you’re ready to recreate it in Tomodachi Life. As we mentioned above, you cannot directly export your designs from Living The Grid into the game, you’ll still need to draw them out yourself.

Make sure you’re using pro-artist mode, as easy mode has a much more limited palette and less design tools. To open pro-artist mode, tap the gear icon top-right of the toolbar. The pixel art style can be a bit time consuming at first, especially if you’re new to it, but the Living The Grid tool is definitely a huge help when it comes to designing custom clothing, food and objects for your Miis to enjoy.

GUIDE: The Sims 4 Inherited Traits & How to Get Them!

Have you ever had a sim born in your game with an extra trait you didn’t pick upon aging up, purchase through aspiration rewards, gain through personality discoveries, etc., and wondered where it came from? Sims 4 Inherited Traits are generally only discovered through gameplay with Sims born in-game, rather than those created in Create-A-Sim. These traits generally indicate something about a Sims heritage, childhood, or occult status (Or a combination of all three)!

If you prefer to play with premade sims, at least to test these traits, some Sims from expansion packs carry inheritable traits. Nyon Specter from Sims 4 Life & Death is a Grimborn sim, and Mara Summerdream from Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature has the High Fae Lineage trait.

How Inherited Traits Work/What They Are

sims 4 inherited traits lighthouse

Inheritable traits are traits that are carried through genetic lines or based on certain conception circumstances. These can include place of birth, special NPC status, or parent occult status. These traits can also be passed on via parents who inherited them already, allowing them to pass through multiple generations even once they are removed from the initial source.

Some of these traits carry special gameplay features, moodlets, buffs, etc., although some are just a simple nod to the sims conception as these can only occur with sims born in-game, and none of them can be applied in Create-A-Sim or gained through personality discovery.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 20 21 20 53 491

To make it easier to reference or browse, this guide is sorted by packs. To keep it concise, EP means “Expansion Pack” and GP means “Game Pack” since all inherited traits come from either one of these two DLC types. While there are other traits that are temporary traits, bonus traits, hidden traits, etc., this article will primarily focus on traits inherited by a Sim’s parentage or conception.

The Sims 4 Inherited Traits By Pack

EP: Cats & Dogs

Hidden Lighthouse Baby Trait

The first of the inheritable traits is a hidden one, only discovered through those rooting through the internal files of The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs DLC and from a funny little moodlet.

On the bottom corner of the Brindleton Bay map, the world featured in The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs, there is a lighthouse with a deep history in the town. Sims can visit this lighthouse just to do some sightseeing… or to woohoo in. To get this trait, a sim must be conceived from a “Try for Baby” interaction in the lighthouse.

Once your lighthouse baby is old enough, typically once they’ve aged up to a child, you can send them to Brindleton Bay to visit the lighthouse and receive this moodlet:

There’s something so familiar about this place. It fills <Sim Name> with an inner light. They are positively glowing!

EP: Seasons

Father Winter’s Baby

Anybody who has seasons is likely well aware of Father Winter, with his large amount of family funds, generosity in giving gifts like an expensive camera (or a piece of coal), and his jolly spirit. While he can be added or removed from any holiday created or edited by the player in-game, he will appear during the plain Sims 4 Seasons “Winterfest” Holiday, showing up around 9PM. He shows up near fireplaces, or just by walking through the door if one is not available or the area around it is inaccessible.

During his time at the home, or after if you get to know him, you can build a romantic relationship and deep friendship with Father Winter. This includes being able to Woohoo him, and more specifically, try for baby. A baby born to father winter will inherit the Father Winter’s Baby trait, with the following description. A little hint to this is, when your sim is giving birth, some mystical lights will pop up under them!

Wow! Father Winter is actually <Sim Name>’s Dad! That’s amazing! Wonder if they get any magical abilities?

While they do not have any magical abilities like their whimsical parent, sims with this trait do get an increase to their Satisfaction points gain by 50%!

EP: Island Living

Sulani Mana

Sulani Mana is a trait found on all Island Elemental sims, an occult type found in The Sims 4 Island Living that can be communed with if a sim has the Child of the Islands trait. Summoning them allows your sims to build a relationship with them, ask for their judgment in regards to the island itself. By having a child with an island elemental sim, the conceived baby will inherit the Sulani Mana trait, giving them the ability to increase a plant’s quality and summon the volcanic bombs that normally appear randomly with the Volcanic Activity lot challenge.

This Sim is imbued with Sulani’s elemental energy due to their heritage. They can increase the quality of plants as well as summon Volcanic Bombs.

EP: Life & Death

Burning Soul & Reborn

The Bucket List, or Unfinished Business if a sim passes before they’re able to complete it, is the primary gameplay mechanic to complete a sim’s Soul’s Journey. This expands upon the concept of aspirations and life satisfaction, allowing sims to become truly at peace before passing on (or to wreak havoc if their death is more… untimely). Sims get multiple rewards for different tiers of satisfaction, both while living and dead.

Once you have completely filled a living Sim’s Soul’s Journey, they will inherit the Burning Soul trait, which will unlock the ability to Rebirth once they’ve passed on. Rebirthing allows the sim to be revived completely the same, or as a completely new sim, into any household at any age. They can form new family relationships with sims, and will get moodlets and buffs for interacting with sims from a past life.

To be reborn, Sims with the Burning Soul trait will head to the Baleful Bog in Ravenwood and swim in it, giving you the ability to add them to an existing family at any age, with or without their current appearance, the same traits, etc. You can even be reborn into an entirely different family and take on the genetics of said family! Including a very wealthy and powerful one…

Reborn Trait Description: This sim has been reborn! Reborn Sims have special connections with Sims they once knew in their previous life and may have some somber feelings when visiting their old gravestones. Take this extra chance to live life to its fullest!

Burning Soul Trait Description: <Sim Name>’s soul burns bright! As a ghost, <Sim Name> receives extra benefits to their Ghost Mastery stamina, enabling them to perform abilities more frequently. The burning soul trait persists beyond death, accompanying <Sim Name> into their next life after Rebirth. <Sim Name> can retain one personality trait from their previous life with the Recall Past Life self-interaction, along with certain other traits by using the Peer Into Soul interaction available on mirrors. If <Sim Name> is reborn as a younger sim, certain developmental skills will be immediately unlocked. As an added bonsues, young adults and older get the extraordinary ability to defy the boundaries of Life and Death, enabling Transcendent WooHoo as a living Sim. This trait is a one-time blessing, accompanying <Sim Name> into their next life only once.

Grimborn

Grimborn sims are sims born… from the Grim Reaper and another sim. This can be achieved by developing a relationship with the Grim Reaper, either through meeting him in a very dark meet-cute situation (Aka, when someone dies), through the Reaper Career (Where he is your boss), or while he roams around the neighborhood of Mourningvale in Ravenwood. With the update prior to The Sims 4 Life & Death, The Grim Reaper officially has genetics and can officially be a parent.

Any children with the Grimborn trait will have a subtle scythe birthmark on their neck, towards the back and just under their ear, and will have longer lifespans than the average.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 20 21 33 49 322 edited 1

The offspring of the Grim Reaper carry an air of mystique. A scythe-shaped birthmark on their neck serves as a haunting reminder of their otherworldly lineage and their inevitable connection to the cycle of life and death.

Grim Descendant

And if your Grimborn child decides to have any children in the future, their children will appear largely normal except for another trait showing their lineage; Grim Descendant.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 20 21 40 35 907 edited 1

Offspring from a Grimborn Sims carry on the legacy of the Reaper!

EP: Enchanted by Nature

High Fae Lineage

Having Fairy Parents has brought a magical lineage that gives a Sim additional Fairy Experience from all sources.

While playing with Fairy Sims, any children born to them will carry a High Fae Lineage trait. This includes sims with a single fairy parent, or sims where both parents are fairies. When testing, babies born with the High Fae Lineage could also carry other Occult special traits, like the Weak Bloodline trait from the other parent being a Spellcaster from Sims 4 Realm of Magic.

EP: Adventure Awaits

Peculiar Plumbird Baby

Special inheritable traits don’t just surround occult status or conception, but also who the other parent was specifically. In Gibbi Point from Sims 4 Adventure Awaits, a Peculiar Plumbird is a folktale Sim who roams around the world and can be met and socialized with.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 22 10 06 04 867 edited 1

If you can romance Pruella Preener and get her to move in, she’ll lose her Plumbird form and your Sim can Try for Baby with her. She is a trans woman, and her gender settings allow her to impregnate other sims. She also gains the trait Previously a Peculiar Plumbird.

Any babies born from a pregnancy with a sim and Pruella will have a trait marking that their parent used to be a Peculiar Plumbird.

Fowl Offspring of Former Peculiar Plumbird.

EP: Royalty & Legacy

With the Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Dynasty system, you can use the perk points gained to earn “Affinity Perks” for your dynasty. Any active affinities will be applied to babies born into the dynasty, scaling to higher levels based on the level of their parent. There are four skill categories that have affinity perks, and the vast majority of skills in The Sims 4 fall into one of these categories; Creative, Mental, Physical, and Social.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 22 10 07 43 983

There are four separate affinity perks for each category, and all can be unlocked and active within a single dynasty. They also account for any babies born into a dynasty, meaning that Science babies will inherit them, and I solely used Science babies for testing.

Mild Affinities

A child born into the dynasty to parents or a parent with no affinity traits whatsoever will have a mild affinity trait.

<Sim Name> was born into a Dynasty with the [Skill Type] Affinity Perk. They will have slightly improved skill gain in [Skill Type] Skills.

Moderate Affinities

If a sim with a mild affinity trait has a child within a dynasty with the same active affinity perk, their child will have a moderate affinity trait.

At least one of <Sim Name>‘s parents had the Mild [Skill Type] Affinity trait. They will have moderately improved skill gain in [Skill Type] Skills and produce better results when using [Skill Type] Skills.

Strong Affinities

If a sim with a moderate affinity trait has a child within a dynasty with the same active affinity perk, their child will have a strong affinity trait. Any further children after this point would have a strong affinity trait.

At least one of <Sim Name>’s parents had the Moderate [Skill Type] Affinity trait. They will have stronger improved skill gain in [Skill Type] Skills and produce better results when using Creative Skills.

GP: Realm of Magic

Like most occult Sims excluding Aliens, most will gain the full potential of their occult status once they’ve aged up into a teen, though you can see their status in Create-A-Sim, and there is hints for each occult in-game at younger life stages. In The Sims 4 Realm of Magic, Spellcasters gain full access to magic upon aging up to a teen, but traits relating to their parentage or bloodline appear as soon as they age up to infancy and you can view all of their traits.

If your initial Spellcaster, generally someone you created in CAS as a Spellcaster, a sim who was turned via gameplay or cheats in-game, or a premade sim that is a spellcaster, decides to have children and continue their bloodline, their children, grandchildren, and any further descendants will have traits to reflect that so long as they are also Spellcasters.

Weak Bloodline

If a Spellcaster Sim is born one generation removed from your initial Spellcaster, they will gain a Weak Bloodline trait.

This Sim’s parents had no Bloodline traits. Sims with the Weak Bloodline trait gain an additional talent point at each Spellcaster rank to spend towards perks. They also gain Spellcaster experience faster and reduce the chance of overloading by 10%.

Strong Bloodline

If a Spellcaster Sim is born two generations removed, meaning they are the grandchild of the initial Spellcaster and their parent carried the Weak Bloodline trait, they will gain a Strong Bloodline trait.

At least one of this Sim’s had a Weak Bloodline trait. Sims with the Strong Bloodline trait gain an additional talent point at each Spellcaster rank to spend towards perks. They also gain Spellcaster experience faster and reduce the chance of overloading by 20%.

Ancient Bloodline

If a Spellcaster Sim is born three generations removed from your initial Spellcaster, meaning they are the great-grandchild of the initial Spellcaster and their parent carried the Strong Bloodline trait, they will gain an Ancient Bloodline trait.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 22 11 19 34 298 edited
The partner sim on the furthest left half is Care Ren, a premade fairy NPC. The partner sim on the right, the redhead man, is a randomly generated human sim met on Cupid’s Corner.

I also tested this with both of the twins who carried the Strong Bloodline trait having children, with one having a child through WooHoo, and the other through having a science baby. The twin who conceived naturally had a human partner, and the sim who had a science baby had a fairy partner. Both children born to the sisters had the Ancient Bloodline trait.

At least one of this Sim’s parents had a Strong or Ancient Bloodline trait. Sims with the Ancient Bloodline trait gain an additional talent point at each Spellcaster rank to spend towards perks. They also gain Spellcaster experience faster and reduce the chance of overloading by 50%.

GP: Werewolves

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 22 09 47 10 606

Unlike other occults, Sims 4 Werewolves were built for their lineage to be somewhat spotty. Not every child born to them will innately be another Werewolf, even if both parents are. Generally, like most Sims 4 genetics, the child can either be one status or the other. For example, if your human sim has a baby with a vampire sim, they can have either a vampire baby or a human baby. This also is typically how it goes for most occults, excluding Sims 4 Get to Works Aliens which can also have full, half-alien, and part-alien hybrids.

Dormant Wolf

A sim with the Dormant Wolf trait is a Sim that acts like a typical human, but can “awaken their inner wolf” through specific gameplay features. As previously stated, they can either have one or both parents who are werewolves, and there is always a chance for a child to inherit the Dormant Wolf trait if they Werewolf blood from a parent directly.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 22 09 34 58 194 edited 1

Out of a set of triplets born to a werewolf and a human Sim, two got the Dormant Wolf trait and one was werewolf without a special trait.

The wolf sleeps soundly within <Sim Name>. What would it take to awaken?

If you want to awaken a Dormant Wolf’s full werewolf form, visit Lake Lunvik in Moonwood Mill when the Sim is a teen or older, and have them swim in the lake during a full moon. The lake will be sparkling when it is officially nightfall and the full moon is out. When they come back to shore, they will transform into a full werewolf.

TS4 x64 fpb 2026 04 22 09 44 04 126

Greater Wolf Blood

On the opposing side of Sims 4 Werewolf genetics, Sims with the Greater Wolf Blood trait have at least one or both parents who are werewolves, but they do not to inherently be a werewolf to actually get this trait, as it is random. If they have this trait and later choose to become a werewolf, it acts similarly to the Magical Bloodline traits for Sims 4 Spellcasters, helping them progress through Werewolf ranks and gain experience quicker.

Greater Wolf Blood is a rarer trait, no matter if both or only one parent is actually a werewolf. Out of 10 babies, I only ran into one with the Greater Wolf Blood trait, while the Dormant Wolf trait appeared four times. The only time I got Greater Wolf Blood was a single baby from a set of triplets, born from parents created in CAS who were both werewolves. I will note that, per the trait description, the trait comes from “Having Werewolf Parents, and a Bit of Luck”, indicating it is almost entirely up to chance.

The moon has blessed <Sim Name> with a Greater Wolf Blood, enhancing their Werewolf growth. Talk about high expectations!

Here we take a moment to think about the ridiculous amount of children and wonky family trees that now exist in this save. A moment of silence, please.
