The Sims released a new trailer today for the next stuff pack coming to the game, titled Tiny Living Stuff! This pack is themed around the wildly popular tiny home build craze in the community, giving tiny homes more integrated gameplay and depth.
And for those worried that the Gurus have discarded our Arts & Crafts vote in favour of this stuff pack, you have nothing to fear! Tiny Living Stuff is not the community voted pack. The community voted pack is still in development.
With that cleared up, let’s dive into everything we’ve seen from Tiny Living Stuff so far! Here are some features we noticed in the trailer that we’re living for! Pun intended!
New Lot Type
The Sims 4 Tiny Living Reveal Trailer 049
The Sims 4 Tiny Living Reveal Trailer 066
This stuff pack will be adding a new lot type to the game, called Tiny Home Residential. This lot type has several gameplay mechanics attached to it to make it an engaging experience for Sims who live on these lots.
Players can only build up to a maximum of 100 tiles on Tiny Home Residential lots. This will provide a fun challenge for builders and ensure that players are not building mansions on this new lot type, which would defeat the purpose of the lot type.
Tiny Home Residential lots have reduced bills! Frugal Sims are sure to see the benefits of living in a tiny home.
Tiny Home Residential lots provide increased relationship gain! Naturally, your Sims are going to be closer with their housemates in a tiny home because they’re physically close to them all the time. Family-Oriented Sims will find tiny living perfect for building and maintaining close family bonds.
Sims get a comfort bonus on Tiny Home Residential lots! Perfect for Lazy Sims or any Sim who finds large living spaces a stressful hassle.
Tiny homes built multiple stories high were also shown off in the trailer so it looks like we will be able to build multiple levels up just like regular homes as long as the total tile count does not exceed 100. No word yet on whether Tiny Living Stuff will be coming with ladders or spiral stairs. None were seen in the trailer.
New Compact Furniture
In addition to financial, social, and comfort perks from living in a tiny home, Sims will also have access to an array of new compact, multi-functional furnishings that will help them save space and turn their tiny home from cramped to cozy. Just a few of the new items shown off in the trailer are:
Some new one-tile furnishings like a desk and dresser, which the game was sorely lacking in before so those will be welcomed additions.
A new entertainment unit that looks like a three-in-one multi-functional item. It has a TV, a stereo, and a bookcase condensed into a two-tile object.
Murphy beds are coming to the game! The murphy bed shown off in the trailer comes with a fold-up loveseat and shelf that can be used when the bed is closed, making this another welcomed multi-purpose object.
New CAS Assets
A variety of new clothes and hairstyles were shown off in the trailer, themed around a cozy, comfortable theme. Thick fabrics and casual lounge wear provide the perfect threads to curl up with a hot drink and a good book in your new cozy little home. Bookworms and Loners are sure to appreciate their new comfy wardrobe.
Possible New Death Type?
The Sims 4 Tiny Living Reveal Trailer 230
The Sims 4 Tiny Living Reveal Trailer 242
While we did not actually see a death happen in the trailer, the addition of murphy beds has us suspecting a new death may come along with it. In previous Sims games, Sims could die from being crushed by a murphy bed. The trailer appears to hint at this; a masculine Sim can be seen getting crushed underneath the bed while trying to open it and a feminine Sim is seen later in the trailer getting trapped inside the bed when it closes while she’s sleeping in it.
@SimGuruNinja seems to confirm this suspicion in a tweet made earlier today while answering questions about the new stuff pack.
Earlier today, The Sims Team revealed the first pack of twenty-twenty with a brand new trailer and an official blog post which gives us an insight as to what is coming in this new Stuff Pack later this month!
Everyone knows tiny living is more than just a trend right now—it’s a movement. It’s ecological, less expensive, and infinitely cozier than living large, and it’s time for your Sims to celebrate this lifestyle in style. That’s why we’re introducing the amazing The Sims™ 4 Tiny Living Stuff Pack*!
Small Houses, Big Dreams
Challenge yourself to build in a greatly reduced footprint of 100 tiles with a Tiny Home Residential Lot to receive special bonuses for your Sims. In addition to friendlier bills, smaller spaces are good for encouraging relationships to bloom, and you’ll have plenty of leftover yard space for a garden. Compete with your friends to build a cuter, smaller home for the ultimate bragging rights.
Let’s Talk Murphy Beds
You asked for it and we’re delivering: say hello to the murphy bed. Engage in shenanigans aplenty with this multifunctional space-saver—just make sure your Sims don’t get trapped when they’re putting it away! Luckily, it leaves you tons of room for activities, and when paired with the bookshelf/stereo/TV combo object, the possibilities are endless.
We’re Knit Kidding Around!
Expect a bevy of comfortable new CAS items, including chunky knits for the ultimate indulgence in sweater weather. Your Sims will be snug as a bug in these cozy clothes and accessories… maybe even a little too snug.

Hello Simmers and Happy Holidays to those that celebrate!
After receiving such a positive response to my last article showcasing amazing Real to Sims builds, I wanted to continue the format! With the Holiday Season upon us, there’s no better time to highlight some beautiful winter builds from more, talented, creators. The features below are builds that caught my eye over the past two weeks. There definitely are, and will be, many more incredible winter/holiday builds created; I encourage you to share the name and creator of those builds in the comments below! Discovering new creators/builders in this awesome community is something I love so much. With that being said, I’m so excited for you to see these builds! Without further ado, here are 5 very talented creators, and their stunning Winter builds!
1. SATISIMBUILDS | FROZEN ARENDELLE CASTLE
So it’s safe to say when I was scrolling through my Twitter feed and I saw this build my jaw dropped. Ok, so maybe that happens A LOT (I’m always so impressed with everyone’s builds!)…but when I downloaded Sati Sim’s “Frozen Arendelle Castle,” it blew my mind! It’s a build I couldn’t dream of making, let alone have the willpower and drive to finish building it. It’s so beautiful in the snow, and I’m sure is equally as impressive without.
About the Builder: Sati’s little cousin was the one who introduced her to The Sims back when they were both just kids (Shoutout to Paul!). Although she encountered the game at an early age, Sati only got back into about two years ago! She gets inspired to build by anything from movies, TV series, and sometimes even songs. Her biggest inspiration, however, is her “favorite video games (besides The Sims) like WoW or Final Fantasy.” Sati states that what she loves most about building is “bending the limits.” Having actually started building with custom content, she decided to take on the challenge of uploading No-CC builds to the Gallery. She elaborated that, in regards to building with no custom content, “there came a need of creating new structures and objects with the items we have in-game and already know. I can create almost everything I can think of and that’s what I love most about building in The Sims 4!”
This creator is one that I admire so much! And not just because her name is also Sarah (but it helps). I’m continually amazed by how good her builds are. It’s another case where I’m not sure if I could ever even dream up a build as flawless as Sims 4 Creations’. I think what I like most about Sarah’s builds, is that regardless of how elaborate the build may be, I can envision it being real!
About the Builder: Sarah started playing The Sims in 2014 with The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. “I fell in love with the game and bought The Sims 3. Shortly after that The Sims 4 came out and it is my favorite game today,” she told me. She became inspired to share her builds in 2016 after she joined a The Sims 4 group on Facebook. Sarah remarked that her “biggest inspiration is the incredibly creative Sims Community on Youtube and in the Gallery.” What Sims4Creations loves about the game is how creative you can get, and also how relaxing it is “to spend hours in build mode.” I couldn’t agree more!
One part I love about looking around for builds to feature is that I stumble upon creators I haven’t followed yet. Malin Designs was one of those cases, but I’m so happy I found her! When I saw this Christmas build I knew I needed to download it, and I was not disappointed in the least! I really enjoy the style of her builds, and am very excited to see more great content from her.
About the Builder: Back when The Sims very first came out in 2000, Malin, who was a little too young at the time, would sneak away to the computer and play her sister’s copy. That’s when she began building! Her builds started off as “one type” of family build that she could maybe “have in real life” when she got older. But it’s clear to see now, when you look at her builds, that MalinDesigns has definitely branched out! “There is so much I love with The Sims,” Malin professed. She believes it’s “an eternity game” meaning that you can start with one family and go on forever. Although she loves that aspect, what she loves most “has to be building” because “you can create so much!”
If you’re looking for festive, look no further! This is another instance where I’m so happy to have stumbled upon this creator. Although The Alleged Simmer has so many fun holiday builds to choose from, her Holiday (X-Mas) Street Shops really caught my eye! I’m so impressed by the quality of these winter builds, and also her youtube videos!
About the Builder: The Alleged Simmer, or Tomi Lyn, has been playing The Sims since the game was very first released. With a lot of hours logged in The Sims 2, and some in TS3, over the past few years The Sims 4 has been her game of choice. She admits that she’s not “much of a Sims 4 ‘player,'” but more so sees herself defined as a builder. “I’m often very inspired by real life,” Tomi Lyn told me. She went on noting that she’s “become especially aware of houses and buildings,” whenever she’s driving around. She “loves a challenge,” and also loves “seeing an interesting piece of whimsical or fantasy art.” Then, she thinks on how she could bring that to life in The Sims. Among many, one of her favorite things about the game is that “there is still always more to learn.” Elaborating that you can always find out “how to do some cool trick, how to get around a problem, or just in general learning how to build different types of houses.”
Wow. This build is truly unique! And let me tell you, after downloading you’ll see it’s even more amazing than it looks. If you don’t know, I’m a modern home fanatic. And this modern, winter, build really impressed me. Can we petition to have this made in real life for a James Bond movie?! I feel like the High End Design Villa is the perfect mix of elegant and modern.
About the Builder: During a sleepover with her friend, Irene discovered The Sims for the very first time. Her friend had just bought it, and Irene was hooked from the start! For the past few years, she has focused solely on building in the Sims 4. “Sometimes, ideas for builds are just popping up in my mind when I watch movies, series, or when I play other games,” Irene told me. Her other inspirations for builds come from Pinterest finds and fellow Simmers on Youtube. “There are so many amazing creators out there, but if I had to pick one I’d go for Kate Emerald. She does breathtaking builds and amazing tutorials.” I love it when talented creators are inspired from another in the community!
Well I hope you enjoyed all these builds as much as I did! Thank you so much to all the talented creators listed above. It’s truly a joy to be able to interview you and share your builds, and love for The Sims.
As a self diagnosed CC addict, I used to be one of THOSE people. Yes, you know the ones. The “I’m never ever going to use CC in my game” people.
I was so obsessed with some of the sims my friends were making, and always envied how amazing they looked! Then it hit me why my sims didn’t look quite right….. EYELASHES. So I went on a jolly over to Tumblr to download some CC eyelashes. 5gb of CAS cc later and it was safe to say I was hooked. However, it took me HOURS to find the CC I liked because as I’m sure you all know, custom content Tumblr is confusing, especially if you’ve never used tumblr before (which I had not).
So I thought it would be super handy for my fellow CC newbies, to create an essentials CAS CC items guide so you don’t have to spend a whole evening trying to figure out what’s what! So here we go, my personal favourite CC items to get you started on your journey!
Eyelashes
So in terms of eyelashes, there’s one CC creator I am OBSESSED with. Kijiko eyelashes are amazing. Every time I ask a simmer which ones they use this is always the recommendation. It’s actually crazy how much difference eyelashes make on a sim.
So I never had a problem with sims eye colours…. until I found these. They are SO detailed and I honestly can’t look at the base game eyes anymore. I find the base game eye colours very flat, they literally are just… well colours! But these CC eyes really have another level and dimension to them. GG ChiefWhiskers, GG <3
Now there are a LOT of talented CC hair creators out there, but I have my favourites that I first started out with. This particular hair is by the very talented GreenLlamas.
FRECKLES. I can’t tell you how obsessed I am at downloading freckles. This particular set from SimTone has 4 swatches, depending on how intense you would like your freckles to be.
I think most of my CC folder is just makeup, especially eyeliners. I really wanted to split up the make up section so you get at least one of everything to start with.
Lips: By GrimCookies. This lip palette is one of my favourites for a number of reasons. It is very natural looking and I love to fact it has a little highlight on the cupids bow. It also has a really wide variety of colours for a starter kit. Download here
Eyeliner: By PralineSims. This amazing pack has not 1, not 2, but 96 eyeliners! It’s called the ultimate collection for good reason! I used number 58 for this sim. Download here
Eye shadow: By GrimCookies. I adore this eye shadow palette by Grimcookies. It has an awesome colour variety for natural as well as bolder looks. Download here
Cheeks: By SimTone. The cheeks are in the same set as the freckles. Download here
Highlighter: By BubbleVoid. When it comes to highlighters, I really want a blinding shine. I want people to see it! That being said, I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Which is why this highlighter is great! It has a wide variety of shine, so you can go bold or subtle. It’s also perfect for a good variety of skin tones. Download here
Eyebrows
I never knew how badly I needed CC eyebrows…. until I downloaded CC eyebrows. These brows by Adeic are really great because they are maxis match BUT also have that really realistic feel to them.
So as always, there are SO SO MANY wonderful clothing CC creators, but for the purposes of this article I have chosen to feature Moontrait because they have some super adorable outfits. However if you’re looking for some nice male clothing CC I would also highly recommend BustedPixelsas they have a real mix!
Hello Simmers, Honnahoops here featuring an EXCITING fan made stuff pack by Simsi45.
The Sims 4: Family Fun Stuff has been around for a little while, however I’ve seen it doing the rounds on the Sims Community page on Facebook. Be sure to check it out if you’re not already a member.
What excites me the most about this stuff pack, is that all the items are CONVERSIONS from The Sims 2: Family Fun Stuff pack! I remember owning this and loving this back in the day. I’m pleased to say that the items have aged well and still look as good as what I remember.
The pack includes 40 items, including wallpapers, floors, beds, desks. Allowing you to decorate and transform your kids’ bedrooms with fantasy and underwater themed furniture sets!
Watch the trailer here:
The items are all gorgeous and fit well with The Sims 4 aesthetic – it’s as if they’d originally come with the game! My most favourite items are definitely the princess themed ones. I always dreamt of having a princess bed as a child. Oh well, at least I can live vicariously through my sim-self…
If you’re a lover of fan-made stuff packs and custom content build and buy items, then this pack is for you! The objects are wonderful and definitely help give your Sim children more personality.

During today’s Maxis Monthly Livestream, SimGuruNinja and SimGuruDuke gave us an update on the progress of the Community Stuff Pack.
The first round of voting was incredibly close between Arts & Crafts and Happy Haunts. The Sims Team also saw over five times as many votes compared to when the community was voting for The Sims 4 Laundry Day Stuff Pack.
The second round of voting will commence on the 23rd December 2019.
SimGuruNinja and SimGuruDuke gave us a sneak peek at the three possible Build/Buy themes that the community will be able to vote for. There were no images of possible Create-a-Sim Options but you will get an idea of some of the items we could potentially see from the work in progress images below.
Granny Chic
Cosy Craft Workshop
Do It Yourself Delight
While these are work in progress images, we could expect a few alterations before the next round of voting goes live next week.

The Sims Team has officially announced in their latest Maxis Monthly Livestream that The Sims 4 for Consoles will finally be getting the online Gallery feature which allows players to upload and download user-created content.
They’ve stated that the team has been working hard to finally deliver this feature and that it will finally be making its way to Xbox One and PS4 early next year.
Another thing that they’ve revealed is that The Gallery will be cross-platform – meaning that, for example, PC players will be able to upload their content for Console players and vice versa. The entire Gallery will be connected for all PC, Xbox One and PS4 players!
One last thing that they’ve stated is that they won’t be able to support gallery creations on the console with custom content…yet. It’s something that they might be able to do in the future but it’s “in the works”.
The Sims Team is hosting a new Maxis Monthly Livestream today, December 16th at 11AM PT / 8PM CET / 7PM BT.
The team has announced that they’ll be covering a new Sims TV Episode for The Sims Mobile & The Sims FreePlay, announcing the second vote session for the next Community Stuff Pack and “a last big announcement for 2019”.
What are they gonna be showcasing exactly? Find out in the livestream down below! We’ve also provided a countdown to the exact beginning of the livestream.
