The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff comes with plenty of new objects that bring new features and interactions.

There are 6 objects that we’ll talk about in this article that bring in some ‘premium’ gameplay. Let’s begin!

The Wind Chimes

There are 6 wind chime objects with this pack: 3 can hang from the ceiling and 3 can hang from the wall. You can choose from 3 types of wind chimes:

• Aluminum
• Ceramic
• Bamboo

As expected, each wind chime type produces a different sound effect that’ll be triggered ever so often.

Having a wind chime near your Sim will give him/her a happy moodlet:

There are 2 interactions that you can use on a wind chime: you can turn it off completely or change the pitch to low, medium or high, which will affect the sound effect of the wind chime.

TIP: Hot-headed Sims are not huge fans of the wind chimes…

Flower Power Outdoor Light

This decor piece not only lights up the outdoors at night, but also spins its petals!

Some Sims who decide to view it may get a playful moodlet, while some will get a dazed moodlet.

Large Umbrella Table

Backyard Stuff brings the biggest round table to The Sims 4 – offering 6 seats to Sims.

This table can be good for either 2 Sims enjoying a romantic night or a household enjoying the outdoor grill. All 6 Sims can use it at the same time and place their food and drinks!

Bird Feeder

You attract the birds to the bird feeder by adding bird seed for 5 Simoleons, but be cautious: in 1 out of 7 there’s a chance that the birds will attack your sim.

After the birds have been fed, they’ll come and go eventually. There are 3 types of birds that you’ll see on the bird feeder: blue bird, cardinal and the finch.

Summer Drink Tray

The Summer Drink Tray adds 3 new drinks to the mix:

• Lemonade (§56)
• Citrus Swig (§95)
• Iced Tea (§144)

All of these drinks are exclusive to this tray and cannot be mixed at the bar. However, you can drag and move around the drinks from the tray and place them wherever you want on the lot.

Water Slides

This pack comes with 2 new water slides: the regular one and the one shaped like a shark.

Sims can do regular slides or perform tricks on them!

Sims who haven’t leveled enough in the athletic skill have a higher chance of failing in their trick slides.

What’s interesting about these slides is that an infinite amount of sims can join the waiting line and slide down.

TIP: Sims who are angry have a higher chance of failing in their slides.

Sims who observe your Sim having fun will react differently – they’ll cheer if they succeed in their trick slide or have a shocked face when they flop on their belly.

You can also add soap to the slide. Sims who slide down the bubbly slide will have bubbles all over them for 2 hours.
