Your Sim has arrived in the mysterious town of StrangerVille and is in need of a new job. Well, look no further! The local Military is looking for new recruits and it turns out that it is the perfect job for your Sim.
As with any career, your Sim can join the Military career simply by sitting down at a laptop/computer, using their cell phone or by the job tab on the user interface.
Once you have joined the career you will be greeted with a pop up asking you if you wish to start the first Work From Home Assignment. You can either start it right away or hold off and do it at a time that suits your Sim better. Just make sure it is before your next shift.
When it is time for your first shift you will be presented with another small pop up which asks you if you want your Sim to Go To Work, Work from Home or Take Paid Time Off (PTO). The choice is up to you. If you choose to Go To Work or Work From Home you will still be working towards your Sims next promotion. If you choose to Take PTO your Sim can go about their day however they please.

Once your Sim is promoted to level six within the Military career you will be given the option to choose one of two pathways. One being the Covert Operator pathway and the other being the Officer Pathway.

Once your Sim has become a Grand Marshal, they have the chance to earn a raise on their wages for superior work performance. The amount per hour goes up between $13 and $15 per hour each time.

Similarly with the Officer pathway, once your Sim has become a Sim-In-Black, they have the chance to earn a raise on their wages for superior work performance. The amount per hour goes up between $13 and $15 per hour each time.
Regardless of what level you are in the Military career, when you choose to work from home you will be assigned a task for your Sim to complete in order for them to be paid. Once they have completed that task they are done for the day and can go about their day as normal. All the information about the task your Sim is required to do can be found in the Career tab on the user interface.
You may be asking though, is the military career only playable in Strangerville? The answer is no. You can play it with any Sim in any world just like any other career. Your Sim will travel to StrangerVille National Base for each shift unless they work from home.

I believed than it was an active career
Is this career going to be available in a future patch? Or is the only way to have it strictly through purchasing Strangerville? I’m a “realistic” type of Sims player, and I’d rather do without buying this pack for one career (that I’ve been yearning for forever.)

I don’t this it will be released in a pack, but if you don’t want to go the strangerville route, you can always just play as a normal military officer! it’s not a secret agent job, but its still military.

It must be bugged at the moment. Sims can spend the ENTIRE 16 hours between shifts in the observatory and it only just reaches 75%.

I think I had to come in and out of loading screens to get the percentage to go up. It’s definitely bugged

you have to put listening devices on sims and listen to then via the listening device

Buy a listening device from the curio shop. You need 4 per daily task. If you have the incredibly friendly perk, you can make instant friends and plant the bug on them. The bar is a great spot. Plant 4 bugs and go home. Use the listening device at home to listen in on those 4 people and it will finish the daily task.

Oh, ok. Found this somewhere else. I need to buy Listening Device in Buy Mode (F2) at home lot and place it in my home to listen to bug. Clear now

Hi, not really sure why I can’t figure this out, but how in the world do I march? I’ve tried clicking on my sim, clicking on the ground, nothing. I’m guessing it’s something obvious I haven’t tried yet. Any help would be appreciated.

You may need a certain fitness skill level. I was able to click on my sims and select the “march around” option but i believe she had level 4 fitness.. just an idea. but it should come up by just clicking on your sim.

I don’t see any new clothes even though I’m supposed to have new ones in the Covert Operator career path…
I’m having an issue with this, I am unable to take family leave or vacation days with my sims and they are getting well burnt out. The game is just physically not letting me. Quite irritating for me and my poor sims.

Choose the PTO option when the window pops up to go to work or work from home. This allows you to use vacation time
If anyone is having trouble figuring out how to interrogate locals it is under the mean interactions.

I’m having the exact same issue – Officer Lvl 7 and “give orders” task stuck at “just started”. I’ve given other sims nearly 20 orders and still no change. Seems like something that they’ll need to fix in a patch.

I’m having the problem of giving orders as well. I went to different lots, tried friends and complete strangers, tried it in different moods. The highest I’ve gotten is 25% complete. Its ruining my sims career performance.

You need to give orders to several different Sims I found. 2-3 orders each but it still takes quite a few. I went to the hijinks festival and there were plenty of people to order around.

I did this between 2am and 4am and it shows progress only then. I got fed up with it though and chose work from home the next day and it changed to plant a bug. Much easier to do and got promoted.
